Chapter 364: Chapter 364

While Sasuke and Madara remained locked in a tense stalemate, the battle on Naruto’s side had reached a similar state.

Naruto didn’t have a clean way to defeat the Ten-Tails.

And the Ten-Tails, in turn, fought like a creature driven purely by instinct.

It attacked constantly, wildly, with overwhelming power but no coordination. Without anyone controlling it, its movements lacked precision. As long as Naruto stayed alert, dodging wasn’t difficult.

His real task was simple.

Keep its attention.

As long as the Ten-Tails stayed focused on him, it wouldn’t turn its attacks toward the Allied Shinobi Forces.

Compared to that, the fight unfolding inside Kamui was far more brutal.

The moment Obito dragged Kakashi into the warped space, Kakashi had wanted answers. He wanted to know what had twisted his former teammate into this.

Obito gave him none.

After a brief clash of genjutsu, the two stood facing each other in silence.

"It looks like I can’t change you," Kakashi said quietly. "So the only thing left I can do for you... is end this."

He raised his left hand and formed a seal between them.

The sign of confrontation.

A ritual every Leaf shinobi learned. A promise that once this began, there would be no hesitation.

Obito froze for a heartbeat.

For a moment, he saw the past. Team Minato. Training grounds. Sparring matches that began and ended with that same seal.

Then he raised his own hand.

"Fine," he said. "Let’s finish it."

They moved at the same time.

No ninjutsu.

No weapons.

Just fists, kicks, and killing intent.

Their taijutsu was clean and merciless. No wasted motion. Every strike aimed at something vital.

Inside Kamui, Obito couldn’t rely on intangibility. Whatever power he had left, he had to fight Kakashi on equal ground.

And he could.

He was no longer the boy chasing Kakashi’s shadow.

Their weapons finally came out.

Obito formed black chakra rods. Kakashi drew a kunai.

Metal rang sharply through the empty space.

The exchange dragged on with no clear victor.

Then Obito created an opening.

"Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!"

Kakashi slammed both hands to the ground. "Earth Style: Earth Wall!"

Flames detonated against the wall, shattering its surface but failing to break through. Smoke flooded the area.

Movement.

Kakashi reacted, only to see a kunai and torn cloth burst from the smoke. A feint.

His eyes widened.

Too late.

Obito erupted from the opposite side, driving a flying kick straight into Kakashi’s raised arm. The impact sent Kakashi crashing back into the wall, his head slamming hard.

Obito followed through, black rod raised—

And missed.

Kakashi burst from the ground beneath him, gripping Obito’s wrist. A kunai flashed toward Obito’s chest.

Obito smiled.

Another black rod extended from his free hand, stabbing forward.

"I win—"

The Kakashi in his grip vanished in a crackle of lightning.

A Lightning Clone.

Pain exploded across Obito’s body.

Before he could recover, the familiar shriek of concentrated lightning tore through the space.

Raikiri.

Kakashi charged straight at him.

There would be no reconciliation.

They collided.

Lightning pierced Obito’s chest.

The black rod stabbed into Kakashi’s side.

Blood sprayed.

They separated and dropped to one knee, breathing hard.

Obito coughed violently, blood spilling from his mouth. Kakashi wasn’t much better, but the difference was obvious.

Obito’s wound was fatal.

"It’s over," Kakashi said hoarsely, pulling the rod from his body. "This time... I win."

Obito laughed weakly. "Maybe. But you won’t win the war."

His body vanished, leaving Kakashi alone in Kamui.

"...Damn it," Kakashi muttered, pressing a hand to his wound. "I’ll die if I don’t treat this."

He pulled out medical supplies and began working.

Outside, Obito collapsed atop the Ten-Tails’ massive head.

The beast didn’t react. Its attention was locked on Naruto.

Obito lay there for a long moment before forcing himself upright.

The battlefield had been devastated again. The land itself had sunk lower from repeated bombardment. The Allied Forces were mostly gone. Withdrawn, not slaughtered.

Then he saw it.

Sasuke.

Madara.

Locked in another deadlock.

"...Even Madara can’t beat him now?" Obito muttered, eyes narrowing.

Then he noticed the eyes.

Madara’s Rinnegan.

Sasuke’s Rinnegan.

Obito stared.

Since when did Rinnegan become this common?

But there was no time to dwell on it.

He looked down.

The Ten-Tails.

It was time.

Obito formed seals.

Madara noticed instantly.

He tried to assert control.

Failed.

His eyes snapped to Obito’s chest wound.

"...So the seal was destroyed."

The Ten-Tails grew eerily still.

Madara smiled faintly.

Naruto noticed it too.

"Where’s Kakashi-sensei?" he shouted, panic creeping in.

"He won," Obito said flatly. "This hole in my chest should tell you that much."

Naruto exhaled in relief.

Then Obito smiled.

"Worry about yourself."

Kurama roared. "Naruto! Get back!"

A massive force pulled inward.

The Ten-Tails was being absorbed.

Naruto’s eyes widened. "He’s... becoming the Ten-Tails’ jinchūriki."

Sasuke turned sharply.

Madara spoke calmly. "You should go. I’ll stay here. I won’t touch the alliance."

Sasuke hesitated.

Then nodded. "You’d better keep your word."

He vanished.

Madara sat on a ridge, watching.

In the sky, an enormous cocoon formed.

An egg.

Sasuke arrived beside Naruto.

"Amaterasu!"

Black flames ignited—and went out.

The shell cracked.

Something emerged.

White hair. Pale body. Hardened markings. Truth-Seeking Orbs floating behind him. Rinnegan and Mangekyō sharing his gaze.

Obito Uchiha floated in the air, calm and complete.

The Ten-Tails’ jinchūriki.

Six Paths Obito had arrived.
