Naruto: Starting with Infinite Chakra-Chapter 227: The Great Battle Begins

The enemy had five Kage-level combatants: the Mizukage, the Raikage, the Tsuchikage, and two Jinchūriki. However, the tailed beasts sealed within these Jinchūriki weren't among the strongest.

Of course, their words were pure deception. With the Land of Wind's shinobi now at their disposal, they had no intention of backing down. Their true aim was to drive a wedge between Sarutobi and Jiraiya, though they knew the chances of success were slim.

"What a joke. Do you think the Land of Fire is a place you can come and go as you please? Since you've stepped foot here, you might as well stay forever." Jiraiya stepped forward, his face cold.

The Raikage and the others still believed they held the initiative. How utterly foolish.

Jiraiya had no interest in wasting words. With both armies now face to face, there was no need for further discussion—only battle remained. They had already prepared a battle plan. It was time to execute it.

As Jiraiya's words fell, his Lightning Flame Blade was already drawn, slashing forward in a brilliant arc of lightning and fire.

The next second, his body surged with lightning, forming the protective cloak of his Lightning Release Armor. Without hesitation, he charged after Jiraiya, while the Mizukage and Tsuchikage followed suit.

They had planned this from the start—three against Jiraiya, leaving Sarutobi to the Jinchūriki.

After all, Jiraiya was the bigger threat by far.

"Water Release: Water Severing Wave!"

The Mizukage quickly formed hand seals, unleashing a high-pressure jet of water toward the Guardian Deity.

Jiraiya's guardian unfurled its divine parasol, effortlessly blocking the attack.

The two attacks collided with a deafening explosion.

The Rasengan shattered, sending a shockwave through the battlefield. The Raikage was flung backward, crashing into the ground, but his Lightning Armor remained intact—he was unharmed.
