Chapter 41 - Mysterious Community

Towering trees with lush leaves, the scent of damp earth and wet foliage wafted through the air, creating a serene atmosphere in the depths of the verdant forest, but that tranquility was shattered by a shout.

"Don't let that eagle get away, Kyoya!" Tsubasa yelled urgently, his voice breaking the silence of the dense forest.

They had surrounded a white-feathered eagle with indigo wings, a rare creature radiating a strong chakra aura – exactly what Tsubasa was looking for.

The eagle perched on a high tree branch, its sharp eyes watching their movements warily.

However, Lady Luck seemed to be playing games and was not on their side this time.

Suddenly, the chakra in the eagle's body surged, triggering flashes of blue lightning all over its body. Its feathers seemed to stand on end, and the surrounding air vibrated with the energy it released.

With that sudden burst of power, the eagle's flying speed increased dramatically, leaving Tsubasa's group, who were already prepared with various techniques, behind in the blink of an eye.

They could only stare in astonishment as the blue silhouette disappeared among the lush trees.

When Tsubasa arrived at the spot where Kyoya had been standing moments before, with his lightning speed, the bird had already vanished without a trace.

Only a beautiful indigo feather remained on the ground, swaying gently in the breeze, a silent witness to their repeated failure.

Kyoya stood with his shoulders slumped, his face full of regret and deep disappointment.

"I'm sorry, Tsubasa-sama, for letting the bird get away again," he said in a dejected tone rarely heard from him. "I tried my best, but that bird is too fast!" he muttered, staring blankly at the remaining feather.

Tsubasa patted Kyoya's shoulder with a thin smile, trying to cheer him up even though he himself felt a slight pang of disappointment in his heart. 'Damn it, we were so close,' Tsubasa thought.

"It's okay, Kyoya. Don't be too hard on yourself. Maybe it's just not our destiny to catch that eagle yet. But don't give up, we'll definitely be able to catch it sooner or later. Don't blame yourself too much and don't get easily discouraged just because of this one small failure." Tsubasa tried to encourage him, even though in his heart he also felt a bit frustrated because the eagle always managed to escape at the last moment.

After a moment, Ozora, Ginga, and Benkei also arrived at the location, panting after trying to chase the lightning-fast vanishing eagle.

They also looked a little disappointed at losing track of the eagle again. "What a shame, we were so close!" Ozora muttered, scratching his non-itchy head in frustration. "That eagle is really slippery!"

"Yeah, it's been almost a week since we first found the first eagle that had this kind of unique chakra aura," Ginga chimed in regretfully, wiping sweat from his forehead with the back of his hand.

"But, in the end, that eagle always manages to escape again before we can put in all our effort." Ginga let out a long sigh, "Maybe this eagle is just not destined for us to catch."

Benkei only let out a long sigh and shook his head resignedly. "Well, that's the life of a ninja. Sometimes we succeed in a mission, sometimes we don't. The important thing is we've tried our best and no one got hurt," Benkei added.

When all the team members had gathered, Tsubasa made a decision in a firm but calm tone.

"Alright everyone, let's end the search for today and return to the inn. It's starting to get dark, and we also need enough rest to recover our chakra. We'll continue the search tomorrow morning with a different strategy."

On the way back to their rented inn in the nearby village, their moods were filled with a rather heavy disappointment.

Losing track of the rare eagle with strong chakra did dampen their spirits a bit, even though they tried to remain optimistic.

The main reason they were searching for this eagle was not to complete a mission from a client, as the Yorozuya group usually did.

Tsubasa had an additional, more personal goal since he accidentally entered the legendary Ryuchi Cave some time ago and saw the power of the giant snakes there for himself.

He had a grand ambition to possess a special summoning beast that was no less powerful than the three famous sacred places in the ninja world (Mount Myoboku, Ryuchi Cave, and Shikkotsu Forest).

He wanted to create a unique and powerful summoning contract to strengthen his ninja village in the future.

That's why he started gathering information about rare animals with unique chakra in their bodies to be captured and made into loyal summoning contracts.

This white eagle with lightning chakra was one of his main targets.

This was not just a hobby or a momentary desire, but an important part of a larger long-term plan to strengthen the future of his ninja village.

---

The darkness of night slowly receded, replaced by the warm glow of the morning sun shining on the earth.

Morning dew still glistened on the leaves, and the cheerful chirping of birds welcomed the new day.

A new day had arrived, bringing with it renewed spirit and hope to continue the search for the elusive eagle.

After finishing a simple breakfast at the inn, Tsubasa and his friends immediately got ready and headed to the location suspected to be the eagle's nesting ground.

This time, based on information from local villagers, they would try searching in another location, but this location was slightly more dangerous than the previous ones.

According to stories circulating among the locals, there was a forbidden valley in the mountainous area, a place said to be very haunted and dangerous.

The valley was known for its steep and deep ravines, as well as the thick fog that always enveloped it.

They had to be extra careful not to fall into the valley while checking the location.

Their vigilance increased many times over due to the potential dangers that might lurk in every corner and crevice of the forbidden valley.

The white eagle they were looking for was suspected of having a nest around the steep peak of the valley.

They planned to check if the information they got from the villagers was correct.

They traveled to the location very carefully, stepping slowly and checking every foothold.

Although they could have just stuck their feet to the steep cliff walls using chakra, they did not choose that fast but risky method.

They realized that if the cliff rock suddenly broke while they were running on it with chakra, they would definitely fall directly into the very deep forbidden valley, which would be a very big risk and could be fatal.

So, they chose the existing natural path, even though it might be slower and more tiring, all for their collective safety.

They preferred to be careful rather than regret it later.

However, even though they were very careful and focused, an unexpected accident still happened.

Benkei, perhaps because of his large and heavy body, or perhaps because the rock he stepped on was already fragile, caused the stone path he stepped on to suddenly break with a frightening cracking sound.

He immediately lost his balance and fell freely into the dark and gaping ravine of the valley.

Benkei closed his eyes, resigned to his fate. 'Damn it, this could be the end of me,' he thought bitterly.

"You guys wait here! I'll save Benkei!" Tsubasa shouted quickly, seeing Benkei already plummeting downwards.

Without the slightest hesitation, Tsubasa immediately took action.

Tsubasa immediately coated his entire body with 'Venom'.

This time, in an unexpected and life-threatening emergency situation for his friend, he no longer had time to hide his special ninjutsu from them.

With incredible speed, Tsubasa pierced the ground beneath his feet and quickly moved following Benkei's fall through the tree roots below the surface.

He planned to catch and absorb Benkei into his 'Venom' before his friend's large body hit the bottom of the possibly very deep valley.

After a tense chase through the underground, Tsubasa finally reached the surface of the Forbidden Valley moments before Benkei slammed into the ground.

With 'Venom' quickly transforming into the flexible and strong giant worm form as before, he managed to catch and absorb Benkei's large body before his friend touched the rocky and dangerous valley floor.

"Uh... luckily I still made it... otherwise, it could have been bad," Tsubasa muttered, wiping the cold sweat that suddenly drenched his forehead.

He felt very relieved that he had managed to save Benkei just in time, even though his heart was still pounding from the tension.

Then, after making sure Benkei was safe inside his 'Venom' body, he observed the valley more carefully using his perception ninjutsu.

The water in the valley looked deep red, with very minimal and unhealthy-looking vegetation.

He felt this valley was not a suitable place for humans or other living creatures to inhabit.

However, contrary to his perception, he sensed a large number of fairly strong human chakras in the valley.

This oddity made him even more curious and wonder about the existence of people in this forbidden valley.

'Who are they? Why do they live in such a dangerous place?' Tsubasa thought with increasing astonishment.

As he examined the situation in the valley with his deeper perception abilities, Tsubasa found a large number of chakra reactions, and from the type of chakra, he was sure it was human chakra.

There were quite a few of them, although not as many as the villagers in the village where they stayed last night.

'Isn't this the Forbidden Valley that's said to be haunted and dangerous? Why are there so many humans living secluded here?' Tsubasa thought with growing bewilderment.

He felt there was a great mystery hidden behind this valley.

The source of this c𝓸ntent is freewebnøvel.coɱ.

But for now, it was better to go back up and tell everyone that they were safe and Benkei was saved.

His curiosity could wait.

Tsubasa returned to 'Venom' mode and moved upwards through the ground quickly, leaving the mysterious red valley behind.

In the blink of an eye, he was back on the surface of the valley, right where Ozora, Kyoya, and Ginga were waiting anxiously.

When he reached the top, he immediately released Benkei from his 'Venom worm'.

Benkei looked a little dazed but grateful to be alive.

Seeing Benkei safe and unharmed, Ozora, Kyoya, and Ginga finally let out a simultaneous sigh of relief.

They immediately approached Tsubasa and Benkei with worried faces.

After making sure Benkei and Ozora were unharmed, they immediately bombarded Tsubasa with questions about the strange ninjutsu he had just used to save Benkei.

Ozora looked the most surprised and curious.

"Tsubasa, what was that ninjutsu just now? I've never seen anything like it before. You suddenly disappeared into the ground and reappeared with Benkei!" Ozora asked in a surprised and inquisitive tone.

Kyoya and Ginga also looked equally curious.

"Tsubasa-sama, is this the ninjutsu you used when you took us to the Karasuma clan's headquarters a few years ago?" Ginga asked with great curiosity, his eyes sparkling.

He remembered the incident a few years ago when Tsubasa suddenly took them to a faraway place in a short time but required them to be unconscious.

Since he had shown 'Venom' to them in an unavoidable emergency situation, Tsubasa felt there was no need to hide this ninjutsu from them anymore.

They were not outsiders; they were his closest family since he transmigrated into this world.

It was time for him to be completely honest with them about some of his abilities.

"Yes," Tsubasa replied briefly, while looking at his three subordinates alternately with a serious expression, giving a subtle signal to Kyoya, Ginga, and Benkei not to discuss that dark past further in front of Ozora.

His three loyal subordinates understood Tsubasa's meaning just by looking at his gaze, so they did not continue the topic with understanding and respect.

Meanwhile, Ozora was still not fully aware that something had been hidden from him all this time.

He only thought that Tsubasa had some secret techniques that he had never seen before.

To divert Ozora's attention from his curiosity about the past, Tsubasa recounted what he had found in the forbidden valley earlier while saving Benkei.

"Everyone, I made a very interesting discovery while saving Benkei earlier. It seems there are many people living secluded in this forbidden valley. I sensed a lot of human chakra there. Would you like to go down and see them with me?" Tsubasa invited.

His curiosity about the mysterious community in the valley was immense, and he felt there was a story similar to this in the original Naruto series, but he could only remember it vaguely.
