Naruto: Limit Breaker-Chapter 330: Home
Chapter 330: Home
Just like when you browse a web page and press F12 to check its frame data, every site has its own structure.
Take Webnovel for example.
Lines of code define the layout of the page.
On top of the layout, there are cloud documents stored on the server, which act as libraries.
Call the image path from that library, and the Webnovel logo appears in the center of the page.
If you open the site with a web editing tool, you can change and control the page code. You can try rewriting the file path in the resource library, like changing Webnovel’s logo path into Wattpad’s logo path.
You can even modify the data hidden behind buttons such as search or home, replacing their target links with completely different code.
Experienced programmers know source code and databases inside and out. They can simply copy and replace other people’s code and make it run in their own projects.
Rules work in a similar way.
There are rules governing trees and grass, rules between planets and the universe, rules about where life can appear and where life is forbidden. All of this is written by countless unimaginably complex rules.
But they are very different from the cold, mechanical code world Ryosuke once created.
The rules of real worlds are living code.
They are like artificial intelligence. As long as you input a short string, they can learn, extend, and generate the next ten lines, one hundred lines, one thousand lines, and far more beyond that.
These rules are extremely complicated.
Some worlds have aura, supernatural powers, chakra, and other energies built into their framework. Other worlds are magic free, where such energy is not allowed to appear.
Because of that, some worlds become high technology but magic free, while others grow into cultivation and power focused worlds.
Even in extraordinary worlds that share similar energy frameworks, like those using chakra, the paths they develop along can be completely different.
For example, the ninja world is a high magic world, filled with jutsu strong enough to destroy the world and techniques that can travel through time and space.
Another example is nen, an energy that is almost the same substance as chakra. It exists in a world of hunters, but there, nen is only medium level. There is not even a single person who can destroy a planet.
The two energies, nen and chakra, have different names, but in essence they are very similar. Both are formed by combining physical energy and spiritual energy in the human body.
But one belongs to a high magic world.
The other belongs to a world that only reaches a medium tier.
That alone already shows the difference in scale and level between their "databases."
Even though worlds differ greatly from one another, there is one thing every world shares.
Rules.
Rules are the essence.
Ryosuke only truly understood this after reaching his current level.
Rules sit at the top of the universe.
Body, soul, abilities, and techniques all move under them.
Someone who understands rules deeply, even if their physical ability is weaker than an ordinary person, can still rewrite the rules of the world and gain overwhelming power.
Saitama is a prime example.
His body, by itself, is very ordinary. Compared to the people of this world, he is stronger than most, but compared to an average person in the ninja world or pirate world, he would not stand out.
Yet in this world, he is invincible.
Just like Madoka Daigo is nearly invincible in the world of Ultraman.
When people from different worlds meet, the differences between their worlds’ levels create countless possibilities.
Suzuki Toichiro from Esper world is one of the strongest in his own world. Every move he makes can shake the balance of that world.
But if he traveled to the ninja world or the pirate world, he could only be ranked as a mid tier figure.
It is like a martial arts expert who has spent an entire life reaching the peak of the martial world, only to suddenly time travel into an immortal cultivation world and fall from the top to the level of a third rate mortal.
The level of the world is different.
Ryosuke might be extremely strong in this world, but in another, he might not stand at the peak.
However, if he truly mastered the power of rules, the story would change.
If Ryosuke mastered rules, then even if he entered the Dragon Ball world, where a single being can erase the universe with ease, he would still have the strength to stand against Saiyans.
The power of rules is no longer part of simple combat strength. It cannot be measured by normal training.
Several more months passed.
Ryosuke used his own rule power to analyze more and more of this world’s rule structure.
Under the night sky, in the wasteland, countless white motes of light slowly floated up. They gathered and traced out a framework like meridians in midair. Then bones grew over that framework, then flesh, then skin, until a complete human body formed.
When the light finished drawing that shape, it slowly faded away.
Ryosuke stood there calmly, then used the power of rules to create clothing out of nothing and drape it over himself.
Creating something from nothing is not easy.
Even with techniques like Yin Release, Yang Release, and the Five Element releases, it is not simple.
But when you follow the rules, it becomes as effortless as drinking water.
That did not mean Ryosuke was invincible.
Rules also have layers.
Changing the rules of a small stone so it follows the same rules as a cloud barely involves anything. It is extremely easy.
Creating simple, lifeless objects with basic materials is not too hard either.
But if the target is a living thing, even a small animal, or a human being, everything changes.
Every living being is bound by an incredibly complex net of fate.
To modify their existing rules, you have to search through billions of lines and pick out the one that matches your needs. That is not something easily done.
Fortunately, Ryosuke’s thinking speed is more flexible than any supercomputer, and his ability to process information is many times greater. Sorting through that much rule data and modifying it is not impossible for him.
But it takes time, and he has not had that much yet.
Instead of going to find Saitama right away, Ryosuke opened a time and space gate and returned to the ninja world.
He still was not sure whether he could use the power of rules freely in actual combat, so he did not plan to see Saitama yet.
More importantly, he wanted to see his family.
From the very beginning, his attitude toward Saitama’s world had been extremely serious. Because of that, Hinata and the others were all worried.
This time when he left, he was not as relaxed as before. His departure had weighed on the entire family.
Now that he had fully digested the rule power brought by Saitama, he needed to go home and let them know he was safe.
At least now, this world did not seem as dangerous as he had imagined.
Passing through the curtain of soft blue light, Ryosuke stepped back into the ninja world.
Before he crossed the void again to return to the Hyuga clan, he found himself stunned by the sight in front of him.
"These flowers and plants..."
"This stone..."
"This sky..."
He stared at the world before his eyes, spellbound.
His vision was no longer that of an ordinary person. He was not only looking at the surface of things, but at their inner structure, at the essence that gave them existence.
At the rules that carried life.
"Some of these are similar. Shockingly similar."
Ryosuke looked at the rules that spread through this world and realized that many of them were similar to the rules in Saitama’s world.
He had originally thought that every world’s rules would be completely different.
That to gain true authority in a new world, he would have to spend years learning and deciphering a whole new rule system every time.
But now... he had discovered that rules repeated from world to world.
"We have to go to other worlds. We have to go to other worlds."
He muttered to himself, almost opening another time and space gate on the spot.
But then he stopped.
No. He had to go home first.
In a flash, Ryosuke stepped through twisted space and returned to the Hyuga main house.
The first thing he saw was Hinata in the courtyard, playing with the two children.
A little further away, Hanabi was swinging lazily on a swing.
Not too far from her, Hiashi was lying back on a reclining chair, soaking in the sun and dozing.
"Father!"
"Father!"
The brother and sister called out at the same time.
They were not the first to notice him, but they were definitely the most excited.
Watching his two children fly into his arms, Ryosuke quietly slowed his thoughts of leaving again right away.
If you do not know how to be a good parent, you might as well not have children. Otherwise, it is bad for both you and the children.
That line from his ordinary life surfaced in his mind.
Among his three lives of memories, the weakest was the life where he had been a normal human. But it was during that life that he had understood the most about how to live, far more than when he was Boros.
As an orphan, he had clawed his way up step by step. It had been exhausting.
After he found his footing in society, he set rules for himself. One of them was that he would never become an unqualified parent.
He had almost become an irresponsible father himself.
"You two have gained weight again, you little brats."
The thought vanished in an instant.
He opened his arms and caught his children, lifting them easily to feel their weight. "While Dad was away, did you behave and listen to your mother, grandpa, and aunt?"
His voice was impossibly gentle. For the moment, learning the rules and pushing his realm higher was no longer the most important thing.
Compared to that, home mattered more.
Ryosuke did not want to spend years in seclusion chasing after rules, only to come back one day and hear: "Uncle, who are you looking for?"
"Of course. Of course. We were very good."
His children answered without hesitation. "A few days ago, when we went for barbecue, my sister and I helped mom catch a huge wild boar!"
"That was clearly just you two wanting to eat meat."
Hinata came over with a straight face. "That wild boar is a special breed. The meat is tender and fragrant, but there are almost none left in the ninja world."
"In recent years, the clan has been deliberately protecting them. We even assigned people to raise them and banned hunting."
"And you two... stole from your own people. After eating it once, you kept making excuses to sneak more. One day you said a boar had a heatstroke, the next you said another one drowned. I really do not know who taught you that."
As she spoke, Hinata glared at Hanabi, who was laughing on the side.
"Let them eat."
Ryosuke lightly spread his perception. "Oh, the number really is small. There are only ninety six left in the entire ninja world."
"It works out. We can slaughter three tonight and eat our fill."
"In the future, you can eat as much as you like. If the children want to eat, that is a good thing."
With one sentence, he decided the life and death of ninety six rare wild boars.
"Thank you, Father!"
"I love you the most, Daddy!"
The two children kissed him on each cheek, leaving his face covered in sticky little smears of saliva.
"No, no, no, I am not that old yet. At least do not call me daddy like I am an old man."
He put them down, smiling, and under Hinata’s puzzled gaze, casually used the secret technique of Ame no Mikoto to move three living wild boars into the courtyard.
The two children, who had long been drooling but held back by their mother, let out excited cheers.
"Saw that, did you? Why do you spoil them so much?"
With the two children and one big child each hauling a wild boar off to find the housekeeper and argue about tonight’s cooking, Ryosuke returned to his room with Hinata.
"I know your usual personality."
Hinata helped him out of his coat and took a set of home clothes from the closet. "You must have a reason for this."
"My wife knows me best."
Ryosuke smiled and nodded. "Those two inherited our bloodlines. Their advantages are far beyond ordinary children. If we do not teach them properly, they might really grow into two little devils."
"Always pressing down on them is not a good thing."
"One day, when they grow up enough to walk out of our sight, with no one restraining them, who knows what kind of trouble they could cause."
"We cannot just suppress them. We have to follow their desires a little and guide their thoughts along the way, so they gradually mature and form correct values."
He changed into his house clothes as he spoke.
"Wanting to eat wild boar means they have desires. Wild boars are rare and precious."
"Having desires is not bad. People need desires if they want to move forward."
"But if they have desires, they also need the reason and thought to control those desires. We can use this chance to shape their outlook and their thinking."
