Chapter 82: Chapter Eighty-Two: I’m Just A Romantic fiance taking Care Of His Beautiful Fianceè.

New York city.

"Thank you so much." Narika said, still holding onto him, in fear that he’s going to leave her. Well, she’s fully aware that he can do that, and wouldn’t mind leaving her now just to punish her for running away.

That’s why she confessed earlier that her running away wasn’t because of him, no! It was all her. It was because she was afraid of what she was but now staring into Adrik’s green eyes, that held nothing but love and admiration towards her. It made her wonder why he isn’t looking at her this way all these while.

She has a lot to ask him, firstly was how exactly he’s human. Wasn’t he a ghost, so how can she feel his muscles and all that under his clothes?

She hoped he didn’t find her creepy for checking him out. But she couldn’t look away. Adrik was devilishly handsome. He was the kind of man mother’s would warn their children to stay away from, but yet here she was, he was the person that couldn’t stay away from her.

The man before her eyes stood tall and broad, his dark hair on display as he looked down checking her out. She didn’t know why he did that anyway, because there wasn’t anything for him to fancy about her.

Adrik was strong, she could tell that much, and not just in the physical sense. Sure his broad frame and muscular physique was eye catching but his presence was utterly dominating and intimidating.

For a second, she thought that she had made a big mistake calling him out, because this was the first time he was revealing himself to her. His real self.

He has beautiful tan skin, and high defined cheekbones that complimented his strong jaw, his features were so rugged yet angelic.

It would be a total lie if anyone seeing him now, would believe that he was a ghost. The man was anything but a normal human being like her, but the difference between them was the fact that she knew what he was, a ghost whereas he doesn’t know what she fully was.

His striking green eyes were cold, and calculating suddenly. One of a powerful man who knew what he wanted, and knew how to get it. And right now, they were glaring at her.

In anger?

She was right because she heard him throw out curses up and down, before he pushed her away from his body as if she was some disease, and grabbed her arm tightly.

"You ran." He spoke, in a cold voice. His warm aura that was there in the first place, while he covered her with the umbrella was long gone. It was now replaced with the cold Adrik, which isn’t a good sight to see.

She wished for him to be back, for him to look down at her the way he did moments ago. But she isn’t her aunt Polina, who could only see his soft sight.

Besides, she had run away from home, and he isn’t willing to believe that it had nothing to do with the both of them. But this time, she isn’t planning on letting him intimidate her, she wanted to tell him the truth. Who knows? He might have a solution to her problem and help her out.

"That’s ridiculous Narika, he wouldn’t believe you. He looks like he wants to kill you right now."

Her conscience probed at her, and she whimpered when his hand tightened around her arm. She’s sure that he’s going to leave a bruise. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞

"I didn’t want to..," she managed to speak out, her eyes moving back to settle on his green ones.

"But you did." Adrik still complained though, making feel guilty for what she’s sure isn’t her reason why she ran away from him. With his green eyes that darkened in hatred, he figured out that it was a mistake listening to his feelings."You don’t deserve my help."He spat, and with that, he turned to leave.

He didn’t want to stay further. He didn’t know what this girl was doing to him. He shouldn’t be feeling this way about her, but yet here he was in the human world risking his entity by talking to her like a lover.

When all he could do was to grab her all the way down to his world, where she rightfully belonged. Yet, he didn’t know what was stopping him.

"Adrik stop!" Narika called into him, doing the most by holding his hand. She didn’t want him to leave just yet."I need your help." She said, hoping that he would give her a listening ear. He’s the only person she could think of right now.

He turned to her, an amused glint on his face." What makes you think that i would want to help you? You still owe me an answer to my proposal, darling.`` He chuckled, when he saw Narika snuck in a breath at his words.

"Well, would you help me if i agree to be your bride? I’m tired of running around in circles." She whispered, tears clogging at her eyes.

"It’s nice to hear you admit that you were being a fool all long. Babygirl, I made you mine a long time ago, and had been in the shadows watching for the right time to take you along with me. What makes you think you can change that?" He asked teasingly, coming closer to wrap his arms around her waist and pulling him close.

She turned to look at the people around, why does he choose here to act all lovey dovey with her so suddenly.

"Don’t worry, they can see me. I’m just a romantic fiance taking care of his beautiful fianceè."Adrik laughed.

"How?" She asked, he wasn’t like any normal ghost. Was he a prince in the ghost world or something?

"What exactly do you need my help for, sweet cheeks?" He asked, ignoring her previous question. It’s not as if she would understand in the first place.

"Stop calling me that." Narika said, beating his chest lightly. The two showed affection towards each other, that they didn’t know that there were specific eyes, out there in the crowd, watching them with an amused look.

Ramiel.

He saw both of them.

Watching his brother, with the proclaimed child of the witch. His father’s plan was moving just the way he expected. He would be so pleased.

"I would call you whatever i want, you belong to me." Adrik said, his words shutting her up for good as she tried to look away but he grabbed her jaw keeping her eyes on his.

"Why did you run away?" He asked, waiting for her reply.

She looked up at him, not knowing if it was the right thing that she was about to tell a stranger what was happening to her.

"I..it’s.." she stuttered, she watched the way his eyes were looking down at her, and it intimidated her.

"Baby, breathe for me." Adrik grabbed her cheeks, pulling her hair away from her face. Something was wrong. He knew it.

It made him wonder if the Grand Alliance had in any way disturbed her, since they didn’t want her getting married to him again.

"Something is wrong with me."She said simply, making his brow fuse up in confusion.

"What exactly?"

"I nearly hurt my mother, last few days again. I had a dream, something was coming for me. It looked like a demon. It hurt me." She said simply, her hand pulling at the collar of her top to expose her neck to Adrik, whose eyes turned red when his eyes fell on the mark slowly fading on her neck.
