Narika: The Ghost Bride-Chapter 240 - Two Hundred And Fourty:The Insider Is Erin.
The door opened and Lucifer saw Narika, Adrik, Raj and Oregon walking into the throne room, to which he didn’t want Narika’s anger towards him to escalate further because it seems none of the others were able to explain things to her.
Her eyes were on her son, Ares who stood up instantly from where he sat when he saw her.
"Before you start cursing me out for being a jerk, first and foremost i will like to..." Lucifer’s words was cut shortened when his face got turned to the side as a result of how heavy the slap Narika sent to him.
"You don’t get to give me silly explanations." She cried, before walking past him to hug Ares, she didn’t care if he’s going to be angry for publicly disgracing him in front of the others but then, if he was normal he would know that the love of a parents surpasses everything, but then he doesn’t get emotions so it’s like taking to a wall.
Lucifer growled, but Oregon was in turn to call him to order before he gave up. His eyes connected with that of Adrik who surely would have enough reason to kill him right now.
"Don’t worry, he knows." Raj told him, making him understand that he’s safe, but for how long?
Raj has done the privilege of explaining what was happening to Adrik and Narika, which they would have figured out sooner anyway because the both of them had been experiencing pains in their head ever since the attack on earth, especially Narika, to which Raj had relieved her of it for the time being but she didn’t have an explanation for what is happening.
Looking back to the mother and son moments, Raj had to whistle for Narika to make things easier for them by cutting short of what it was she was trying to do with Ares, and tell him why they had to alter his growth and as well turn him against anyone that wants to hurt Lucifer.
"Is father still angry at me?" Ares asked, looking at Adrik’s way, who hasn’t been able to look at him without feeling his heart tightening, at the image of him threatening to kill him because his father compelled his mind.
How could Lucifer do that? 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
Turn his son against him, regardless of putting him in charge of his safety because of Rowan’s undying revenge to kill him. He could have done things differently without having to turn their son against his parents.
Adrik was angry, he was enraged and not even the battle with Rowan could ease the pain in his heart nor calm him down, and if this war doesn’t end with Rowan killing his father, then he would do that instead. Lucifer would be better of dead for everyone to have peace.
But as of now, he had to pretend that he’s okay, that’s the only way to get one step ahead of his father, so that his plans can come alive.
"No baby, he’s just mad at his father, this has nothing to do with you." Narika told Ares who seemed to believe differently from her words. She touched his cheeks," What did he do to you?" She mumbled.
If Lucifer used her son to protect himself against Rowan, who then would protect him?
What if things go wrong with this plan that the crystal has, and he ends up dying?
"He’s going to be fine, Narika. Stop acting like he’s a baby?" Raj had to interfere because she was taking a lot of time, but she snapped at her impatience.
"Well he’s one!" Narika shouted, making the throne room shake by the force of her voice. " He’s just three days old before this, and you tell me that he’s not a kid, seriously Raj. You know you could go fight Rowan or whatever crazed demon that is after the sisterhood, or Lucifer. I dont fucking care."She added.
"Baby, it’s okay. Let’s not fight about this." Adrik cautioned her, coming closer to where her and Ares were while trying to force a smile on his face.
"Hey buddy."He told Ares, who rushed into his embrace without wasting any other time, which made Lucifer stomped his feet on the ground impatiently.
"Seriously, can we ease up on the family reunion because we might not have one if Rowan attacks us unprepared." Lucifer said, with worriedness lacing his tone.
He’s bothered, aswell as everyone. He’s more concerned about protecting his face than to care about Rowan killing any of his family members.
An alarm went off which made everyone stand on alert at seeing the red lights that went off.
"What’s happening?" Narika asked, as Lucifer was trying to look beyond the room they were in while reading everyone’s thoughts that were in his kingdom.
"Lucifer!" Oregon called, impatiently. He was not involved in this fight. It’s not like Rowan could kill someone that’s already dead, he can’t kill a ghost but he can cause real damage to the members of his fellow Grand Alliance, which was why he’s involved in this.
"Wait!" Raj shouted at Oregon, who did not move ahead to stop or interrupt what Lucifer was trying to do, until he tried speaking but the door opened and in walked Erin, following behind him was a crying Marilyn.
"There’s a breach at the ascension gate, something no, someone is trying to break in through but research has it that he’s not dead." Erin told Lucifer, coming closer with the scroll to show him the unbalanced entry forcing it’s name in the book of death.
"The guards?" Lucifer asked, as he made an orb of lighting appear in the center of the room. It was like a cctv he could use to access what was happening and when he actually pictured into the ascension room, he could see twenty of his best soldiers all prepared for the intruder forcing its way into hell
"Would you stop crying,Woman. This is not the time for this!" Lucifer snapped at Marilyn, who forced her words out.
"The girls are missing, Lucifer. My babies are gone!" She said, to which Raj’s face countered up into confusion.
"When did you notice that they were gone?" Narika was the first ask the question, while holding Marilyn’s hand to console her for her lose.
" I don’t k..know. I just.. I don’t remember anything."She cried, touching her head while forcing herself to remember anything.
Narika looked at Oregon the two were conversing with the eyes, before Lucifer had to make the stupidest comment ever." We will talk about this later, I have got important things to do." He said lastly, before turning to leave.
"Ares "He called.
"Woah! Where are you taking him?" Narika bombarded him with questions, that Ares wasn’t planning on letting his grandfather give her an actual answer, before disappearing with Ares and Erin towards the Ascension room.
"Her statement doesn’t make up, she seems to have been brain whipped." Oregon said, coming closer to where Marilyn fell to the floor, crying.
She didn’t believe that Lucrer would talk that way to her, although yes! She knew he was capable of doing that, but he has far more important things to do that to help find their kids, her kids!
"But by who?" Narika asked, confused.
"That we would have to find out." Raj said, before coming closer to place her hand on Marilyn’s head.
She hissed at the contact, but then when Narika knew that what she was doing was working, was when her eyes turned silver just like hers when she’s using her powers.
It was really difficult for Raj trying to find out a particular memory about Marilyn’s day, when she was an emotional wreck.
Her memories where in bits and tiny bits that she had to access almost everything, until she finally saw the one she was searching for which was her coversing with Erin, Lucifers best friend before everything went blank.
She was shut out, and she came back to reality with a gasp leaving her lips, " I found him."
"Found who? Rowan?" Adrik perched in, making his presence still known in the room because he seemed to be in a daze with what was happening to his mother.
He hated her, but at the same time watching her this way hurt him.
"The insider, its Erin, it’s been him since all these while, her memory stopped with her talking with him right infront of her room." Raj said, as they rushed for the door in an attempt to leave but the moment her hand touched the door, she was pulled back by some force, that she almost landed on the floor but Oregon was in cue to hold her.
A sinister laughter that was familiar went off in the room, without none of them seeing Erin. Which made the four of them, Raj, Oregon, Narika and Adrik back each other as they were looking all around to know where exactly Erin would attack first.
"Show yourself you crazy prick!" Marilyn shouted, standing up from the floor only to be grabbed by an angry Erin, who held a knife to her throat.
"Noo!!"
