"This isn’t part of the plan, Lucifer!’’Lucius appeared out of nowhere, into the throne room where Lucifer was in, while he was deep into thinking.
He appeared where he was, since Lucifer didn’t acknowledge his presence. Not only was that rude of him, the motherfucker didn’t know what mistake he had made by publicly announcing the birth of Ares.
Now, not only does the lawmakers know that he had tricked them into believing that Adrik is dead, which was overlooked because the prophecy was back to the way it was before. But then, the crystal palace is going to kill Ares.
It wasn’t a secret, Ares, the young bud was hell’s salvation. The little thing had no idea of the greatness he carried, and that’s why the crystal palace is fighting tooth and nail to make sure that the lawmakers execute Adrik from the picture in the first place, thus ruining the chance of him breeding Narika. But that failed!
"What do you mean by that, Lucius? Today is a good day, I wouldn’t want to ruin the good mood by your words." Lucifer said. He opened his hands, and a wine with two glass cups appeared on the table, before he poured into the cups and offered one to Lucius.
He knew why he’s here, but then today was more of a good day for him to worry about the crystal palace. If anything, he knew that this was meant to happen, Ates being born was just the beginning of the panic in the crystal palace.
He knew he did a good thing by convincing Narika to bring Ares here, although there’s no way he wouldn’t have dragged her back to hell if she disagreed. But he didn’t see Adrik being awakened by his siblings. That secret wall was just known to him and Marilyn, he didn’t want to think that she had managed to gain the favor of his children, into convincing them to release her son.
He knew that she was capable of doing that, which was a problem he’s going to settle once he’s done with Lucius. Until he realized that there’s no way Azazel, nor the other two would be able to come up with the passcode combination he used.
The only person who was good at that, picking locks, especially one done by him, was no other but Erin. Shit! How could he not know that that snake was just waiting for the right thing to show its vicious teeths.
He helped release Adrik! Dagan is not his problem, since he’s sure that being in coma for three months would help rest his brain for him to learn how to address him, but the main problem here is Adrik.
Which was why Lucius was here,she promised him that he wasn’t going to release him anytime soon, until the war is over.
Lucius snatched the drink from his hands, and gulped it down in one go before turning his attention back to him."You clearly said that he’s going to sleep until the war is over, why did you have him released?"
"Well, I didn’t. I was outsmarted by my children, you wouldn’t understand because you don’t have one." Lucifer told him, while he rolled his eyes at his statement.
"Don’t tell me that the great Lucifer doesn’t know how to keep his people on a leash? What are you going to do about him, if he spoils our plan?" Lucius asked, impatiently.
If things go sideways, then the Lawmakers would definitely find out that he’s working with him and that would only mean trouble for him. At this point, he didn’t know if he was to trust him, like it sounds funny. Who would trust Lucifer in the first place?
"Whatever it is you are thinking isn’t going to happen, okay? Everyone, including him knows what this means. He knows what his son was born into and what is expected of him."Lucifer assured him, although he didn’t know what Adrik might do since he’s still on the verge of killing him.
But then if Narika is smart like he thought of her to be, then it’s only right that she convinces him that this is the only place that is safe for their son, in case he’s thinking of running away with her again.
Just like Lucuis had said, the crystal palace would be hot on their tail if he makes the mistake of leaving hell. So, it’s only right that he looks behind their ugly past, and focuses on what’s more important.
"Does he?" Lucuis returned his answer back to him, just to be sure that he knew and understood what he’s saying here. His question irked Lucifer, it probed at his ego and that makes him think that he’s less of a man for not having things in control in his kingdom.
"Know your place, Lucius. Everything is going as planned." Lucifer said, he paused when he noticed the change in the air, someone else was here with them." You can leave now, I will call for you when i have the need for you."
Lucuis didn’t waste any more time before leaving, then Erin came out of his hiding. He’s the only one who likes sneaking up on him like that, he has no respect and Lucifer is forced to remember his relationship with him. But then, he realized that he’s the only one who considers that, and spares him on certain occasions when he goes against his wishes.
Until now, he had made a grave mistake, by invading his privacy, one that not even Marilyn knew existed until she walked unknowingly when he was coming out of the secret wall.
Erin wanted to talk, but he didn’t see Lucifer coming until he was slammed against the wall.
"You released him!!" Lucifer roared, or more of him saying that he did it without asking for his opinion, because when Erin smirked even when he knew that he could rip his heart and get rid of his entire existence, and hell would forget his very existence.
"Yes i did, you didn’t tell me you were planning on raising the child fatherless, when his father is very much alive." Erin said, with a satisfied laugh seeing the frown on Lucifer’s face.
He would continue to torment his life, until he comes back to his senses.
"You don’t get to tell me..."Lucifer said, but his words were cut short.
"Yet, you are stopping so low to work with Lucius, an exiled demon?" Erin asked."what has become of you?"
Lucifer released him since he wanted to hear more about Lucius, what he didn’t do in these three months that he was busy planning on his comeback attack on the lawmakers, for summoning to court and daring him to kill his son just to please the crystal palace.
He has forgotten to do a crucial task like check-in up on the background of Lucius, his said new ally. He had no idea if the motherfucker was working for someone, who wanted his throne. That could be true, since he wasn’t convinced with his reason for helping him.
Who knows, he might be a spy sent by Micheal?
"How do you know him?"He asked Erin, who shrugged his shoulders. It’s not like he didn’t know the best place to get secret information on hell was from him, since he ran an undercover spy agency.
Lucifer got tired of him teasing him, before he wrapped his hand around his throat." You will tell me everything you know."
"How does it feels like being in the dark about something, it feels crazy right?" Erin snickered, " that would be you getting a feel of how it feels to be cut off by your best friend."
Lucifer groaned in annoyance, and slammed him against the wall, as the wall cracked. Erin stood up, dusting his clothes as if nothing happened.
"I don’t know whatever it is you think you are doing with him, but i must warn you. Lucius isn’t to be trusted."
"And you are?" Lucifer asked, scoffing at his words.
"Lucifer."Erin called, coming closer to him, trying to get him to understand him. He knew how stubborn he could be, but then this isn’t the time to be so corky.
Lucius isn’t good news.
"You think i don’t know about your secret meetups with Marilyn?" Lucifer asked, coming closer as a shock ran up Erin’s face because Marilyn assured him that he knew nothing about their relationship.
"She just needs a friend, a company which you can’t give her."Erin replied, he knew it would come down to this, and that Lucifer would misunderstand everything about them.
He had seen how crazy he goes whenever he sees her talk to anyone, but him. So, what was he thinking that he wouldn’t think ill of their relationship?
"Yet you are fucking her? Why should i trust that you are no better than who you are asking me to stay away from?"
"You are being plain stupid, Lucifer. Nothing happened between us, Marilyn is like a sister to me." Erin said, but he chose not to listen, but went closer to wag a finger at his face.
"Lie all you can, but when i find out the truth. You will be a dead man not just for lying to me, but for touching what’s not yours and involving yourself in my family problems." He said lastly, before leaving, making Erin understand his place in his life.
He wasn’t family.
Lucifer made him understand that now.
