Chapter 201: Chapter Two Hundred And One:The End Of The Beginning.

Three months later.

~~~
If there was anything Narika has learnt in these few months that has passed by, while now living within the confines of her grandpa’s house, just so to avoid the gossiping eyes of the people back in tomorrow town.
That would be the fact that she’s carrying a baby, for a man she knew nothing about. There was nothing her parents could do to help change her mind, that Hendrix wasn’t the father of her child, nor did she have a one night stand that led to this. No! The blue eyes still haunt her dreams and it has certainly turned to vision’s daily.
The dream she had three months ago about meeting that child, still lives rent free in her head and since then she hasn’t been able to dream about him again. But rather, her mind was still playing cruel games with her.
If this was a punishment for a sin that she committed in her afterlife, Narika wished to go back in time and correct her actions because right now, it’s either she pushes this baby out or she dies from the excruciating pain that comes with carrying a baby, that was clearly not human to be coming out in just three months of her finding out that she’s pregnant.
"Narika, baby. You are so close, deep breathes. Please you can do this." Hendrix’s voice tried to help soothe the pain that came with childbirth, he held her hand while his mother and two new other witches that had accompanied her to help with the labor are busy trying their best in her case.
In the past months that went by, she had learned that her parents had this grievance towards Naomi for some reasons unknown to her. Her grandfather who she had heard terrible stories about, had turned out to be her best friend throughout their stay in his house.
While Hendrix did more...no, he meant more to her than just any normal friend. Apart from the fact that she knew he harbored feelings for her, which she wasn’t able to reciprocate because of him, blue eyes.
But she wasn’t feeling bad for that though, Hendrix actually knew that he wasn’t going to pass the friend zone with her. But for the few months that he had played both the role of a best friend and husband when she needed someone to help massage her sore feet and back, she’s thankful for all of that.
Coming to her parents, there wasn’t much she had to say about them if not for the fact that her mother would not give up any opportunity she sees, to not stay with her at every goddamn seconds, and that’s irritating for someone who needed a space for herself.
It was like she was scared, and she didn’t know if that was because of her baby but she had learned to understand that her mother doesn’t quite give consent to her birthing this child, something about it being a monster.
She overheard their conversation last night, and her father is the only one that was on her side. He wanted her to keep the baby regardless of its unique nature. None of what she has passed through these few months has made her change her mind about her child.
She loved her baby, and she’s going to be a good mother to him/her, that’s all that matters to her!
"Something’s wrong,"Narika was switching back and forth from reality, only to hear Naomi whisper to the other two before her eyes moved to the door, to see how her mother was crying while her father held her from complicating things if she decided to walk in here.
They weren’t in a hospital, through the help of her mother who has managed to convince her to have the baby at home, with the help of the same woman they had issues with, Narika didn’t know what to do at this point but prayed that her child lives instead of her.
It has been a complicated step, but she loved every moment of her pregnancy. Regardless of her bringing forth a child into this world without knowing it’s father. She had promised to pour all her love, time and attention to her special child once it’s born.
But at this point that she’s having complications with the child birth, she’s sure that Naomi took her words seriously a month ago when she made her promise that if it ever comes to the part where she has to save her or the baby, her baby should always be the first option.
"The baby is cramping, the umbilical cord is tied around his neck and is choking him out. We don’t have enough time to make sure that she’s going to push him out just in time, what do we do?" One of the midwives’ told Naomi who was at loose ends here.
She didn’t know if this was truly what her dreams for the past months were about to take place, but she saw Narika die during child labor and she wasn’t brave enough to tell anyone, not even her parents.
It’s pretty obvious judging from how they had acted, after they knew that she’s pregnant that if she makes the mistake of telling them what she saw, Marya would kill her for good.
"She’s going to have the baby, we don’t have the time for a c- section." Naomi said, making the other two to gasp.
"But she’s not..."The midwife tried objecting, due to the fact that Narika was barely conscious but it had to be done regardless because everyone is counting on her with this baby.
"You do exactly as i say, Jasmine. Regardless she’s going to birth the child."she snapped before turning to give Hendrix a look that it’s time for him to leave.
The crystal palace is anxious, although they wanted the baby to be aborted the first time they heard about him, but the witches council protects one of their own, that’s why she was able to keep the baby.
While there’s not been any news pertaining to the underworld doing anything, about Narika or the baby ever since the prophecy went back to normal. A rumor had gone around that Adrik is dead, that Lucifer killed him as per the orders of the lawmakers.
So, she didn’t have any idea which way was to go, but decided to help to relieve the girl from the pain that she’s passing through right now.
Naomi went to Narika, to see how diluted her eyes were but she’s sure she can here her." Now listen to me, Narika. You and your baby are in danger, I can’t tell what paik you are in, but i need you to push , to push real hard for you and for your child." She paused, seeing her nod her head weakly and tried doing that but only to let out an ear piercing scream.
"It hurts..I can..I can’t." She cried, but Namomi refused to listen to him. She knew how fucked up what she’s able to do is, but watching the young girl willow in self pity these past few months while trying to know who the baby of her father was, hurt her.
Her parents were oblivious to how deep she was suffering, to how painfult it felt for her coping with the amnesia without having any idea, what had brought her this long way to birthing a special child that was unlike any human.
So, Instead of looking away this time, Naomi has no other option but to help her. Afterall, the prophecy would definitely come to pass one way or another. There’s nothing her parents can do to stop her.
"Think of your child, Narika. You are much more stronger than you think you are....you are the chosen descendant of Baram, the first witch. Think of Adrik, the father of your child, only then would you be able to pass through this." Naomi said lastly before she muttered some incantation and placed her palm on Narika’s forehead.
The moment she removed her hand, it was like everything and everyone stilled in her eyes, as her lost memories that she had been praying to get all came rushing through her mind. It played like a movie in her head.
Everything!
Adrik, Lucifer, Baram, the prophecy...everything.
"I love you so much, Sweetgirl." Adrik’s lady words towards her after the precious night, and remembering how they were separated afterwards erupted something, primal...angry inside of her and she let out an ear piercing scream that made the whole house rumble and everyone to fall to the ground due to the force her voice carried.
The bulbs, windows and every breakable object shattered, as Narika’s brown orbs changed to silver, then a shrill cry of a newborn baby was heard.
She sat up instantly, feeling more stronger than usual before looking down at her child, her little demon she created between her and Adrik. His red body and little horn on his head showing his relationship with hell, while his eyes were off her.
She cut the cord, before taking her baby into her hands, kissed his tears and turned to go insearch of Adrik. It didn’t matter to her the bodies that lingered on the floor, passed out cold..all she wanted was to find him.
To find her mate, Adrik.
Until that little happiness she had with having her baby with her was cut short, when armed men walked in followed by their leader, who seemed to know her.
"Wow, I didn’t actually believe this was going to end like this, but Axel helped Lucifer take Marilyn away from me, and now it’s time i take away something precious from him too ." Jason said, sorrow, anger and what not filled through his voice before he raised a gun towards her.
