Narika: The Ghost Bride-Chapter 197 - One Hundred And Ninety-Seven:Seeing You Cry Makes Me Want To Watch The World Burn.
Narika stood outside of the Wintergreene family house, tears cascading down her porcelain skin after walking into the house, yet found no one. She didn’t believe her mom’s words for it when she told her that she’s dead, then she saw the news about their car colliding head on with a double decker, which resulted in their death.
Zoe was dead, and the frustrating part of it all was that she didn’t remember anything. How can she be a friend when she had no memories of what had happened, and it’s not like they died yesterday since her mother has said that she’s been bedridden for a week.
It’s been a month.
Narika didn’t need anyone to tell her that something was seriously wrong somewhere, especially back at home. Where her parents are acting as if she woke up from the dead. It apparently had to be that, because none of them had given her any definite answers for the amnesia.
She couldn’t even remember what exactly had caused her retirement at the coffee shop where she worked. While she arrived there, everyone had nearly fainted at seeing her. Just like she said, it’s like they had sent a ghost. Her ghost that rosed up from the dead.
Then there’s the look she’s getting from everyone, who saw her after she escaped from the house, without her parents’ notice. Something was off about the town, about everyone! About everything!
She squatted to the ground, as she felt like something pierced her heart at trying to remember, who aroused such feeling of despair, and anger inside of her.
She could feel it.
She felt like someone needed her, she felt like she should be remembering someone, who felt so precious to her.
Before she knew it, she let out an ear piercing scream because her head hurt, until she saw the silhouette of aman appear in her memory. The scene wasn’t clear, it was fuzzy but she could make it out to be that of a man, and he was calling unto her.
"S..stop."She breathed heavily, and inhaled in and out trying to control the irregular beating of her heart before she heard a car parked, before hearing her name coming from an all familiar voice that had her looking up at him.
Hendrix.
The doctor’s son.
She couldn’t help but feel like he was lying to her too, especially about the part where his mother was a doctor. But she was too weak to say anything, as she nearly collapsed to the floor, but he rushed to her before she could hit the ground.
"Narika, look at me. Can you hear me?" Hendrix’s frantic voice asked, he was really scared at this point since he didn’t know what was happening. But one thing was clear, he didn’t want to lose her.
When she said nothing, he checked her pulse to feel that she’s still breathing but her iris was going to the back of her head. He didn’t know what that meant but it’s not anything good.
"I..I c.. can’t.. breathe." She managed to mutter, and he wasted no time to start applying the mouth to mouth resuscitation, while pressing on her chest.
"Narika, stay with me...shit! Baby, stay with me." He cried, adding more agility to what he was doing, as he cupped her cheeks to check her eyes, until she finally closed her eyes for good, and he wasted no time to carry her into his car, to the fastest hospital but not without alerting her parents about what was happening.
Meanwhile, while everyone was worried about her wellbeing. Since the doctor was still running a lot of tests on her, everyone was waiting outside.
Narika found herself in a total different world, it was such a beautiful island with the beautiful flowers that grew in the forest that was far away from the water.
For a second Narika assumes that she’s in heaven, but then only the dead go to heaven. So does that mean I am dead?
She asked herself, before moving further into the beautiful forest with the hope that she could find someone, anyone. She’s sure that she’s not alone here but she only ended up disappointed when the reverse was the case.
It’s just here alone, abandoned.
"Hello, is anyone here?" She called, looking around for help since she didn’t see any doors. So she started to get worried about how exactly she found herself here, because she had no memories about what she did to end up here anyway.
"Please, is anyone here?" She asked a second time, before out of the blues she felt someone, or something hug her legs.
"Mommy, tag you’re it." A little kid’s voice said, before she looked down into the most beautiful blue eyes of a kid, she couldn’t say how old he was.
He was dressed in a white long garment, with the most beautiful red hair just like hers, until her mind finally registered what he just said.
Mommy?
"W.. who are you? Where are your parents? Are you alone all by yourself?" That has to be the most stupid question because she didn’t need anyone to tell her that this boy was a spitting image of her..but the blue eyes.
The blue eyes felt familiar but she didn’t know who it belonged to.
"Mommy, are you rejecting me?" The kid asked, tears cascading his smooth face which made Naraku’s heart break down at seeing his tears.
"No..no, it’s okay." She said, taking him into her arms, before his tears died down and he was once more smiling, while holding her tightly.
She had a son.
With who?
"Mommy, do you want to meet daddy?" The boy’s question made her pull him away to look into his enchanting blue eyes.
"You..how did you?" She stuttered, feeling her eyes dampened in tears all of a second because hearing him talk about his father had her feeling this way.
"Don’t cry mommy, seeing you cry makes me want to watch the world burn." His words made her wonder how a little kid like him understood what he just said, until his red eyes made her gasp in fear before he said next.
"I’m going to protect you mommy, just wait for me." He said lastly, and all of a second she felt her eyes closing before everything went dark.
