Mythology Rebooted-Chapter 625 - 260 Wayne, don’t look back, I’m your senior _3
Chapter 625: Chapter 260 Wayne, don’t look back, I’m your senior _3
Veronica gestured a shush to Valkyrie, saw Wayne completely off guard, carried the ball and charged, throwing herself onto his back, covering his eyes.
"Don’t look back, Wayne, it’s your senior."
How could that be, the senior is still watching from upstairs!
Wayne internally complained and shook the mysterious person on his back, honestly saying, "That’s impossible, the senior isn’t this small."
"Then I am Veronica."
"Veronica isn’t this big."
Wayne put down the wooden sword, pried off the hands covering his eyes, and turned his head to see the smiling Veronica: "I knew it was you, I just knew it."
Chris: (눈_눈)
You really can tell the difference.
"Wayne, I’ve missed you so much, did you bring me a gift?"
Veronica dived into Wayne’s embrace, her blonde head burrowing back and forth, her way of expressing missing him was simple and direct, still the same her.
Valkyrie, watching this scene, shook her head slightly. Students of this age have only love on their minds.
She was referring to Veronica, not mentioning Wayne, who had his feet in two boats, possibly more, and such selfish behavior could not be called love.
Valkyrie was slightly disappointed. Wayne’s performance was hard to link with that of a knight, and even though she approved of him, it would be difficult for him to become a God-chosen Knight. The high hopes she had placed on him might be dashed.
Fortunately, the problem wasn’t significant. The Dragon-Slayer Sword Technique had its legacy continued. If Wayne couldn’t be a God-chosen Knight, he could still be an outstanding student.
Seeing Veronica talk nonstop, with eyes only for Wayne, Valkyrie waved her hand dismissively, ending the day’s lesson there. She told them to stop playing in the garden and go somewhere else; she found them an eyesore.
"Veronica, the trip was thrilling and exciting, and I prepared so many gifts for you. Let’s go inside and chat, I need to go take a shower first." Wayne led the way, taking the towel Philark handed him and pretending to wipe non-existent sweat.
Veronica nodded repeatedly, like a joyous little sparrow, jumping and bouncing around Wayne.
In the master bedroom, Wayne took the change of clothes Chris offered and entered the bathroom.
Veronica cocked her head observing Chris in just a robe and then glanced at the previously nonexistent dressing table, her heart giving a sudden lurch.
"I’m sorry Veronica, I didn’t know you were coming, and I haven’t changed yet."
Chris, ever so composed, opened the wardrobe, picked out a homely long dress, and said with a smile, "Would you mind stepping out for a bit? I need to change clothes, it’ll only take a moment."
Veronica didn’t respond, her head down, tears dripping like little pearls.
Chris’s smile stiffened, inwardly declaring that this was the time to be ruthless and leave no mercy, else there’d be endless trouble.
After ten seconds, Chris sighed, put the clothes down, and quickly stepped forward: "Don’t be sad, I was just teasing you. The clothes were intentionally stuffed in the wardrobe, and the dressing table was just a joke, too."
Veronica didn’t listen and cried even harder.
Chris had no choice. Even though she knew Veronica was partially acting, she still couldn’t bear it and held her, offering continuous consolation.
Veronica buried her head into Chris’s chest, thinking to herself that people can be so malicious. She admitted defeat in this battle, rightly so. If she were Wayne, she would like a senior like this too.
Beautiful and well-shaped, especially her character, kind and considerate at every turn.
Senior, you’re too kind. That man is out of your grasp, better let me have him!
Veronica bit her lip in secret, stopping her tears with Chris’s consolation, and said with a sense of grievance: "Senior, don’t play these kinds of jokes anymore, you promised me you wouldn’t fall for Wayne."
Did I say that?
Chris thought for a moment; indeed she had, but...
That’s all in the past, only losers dwell on the past, winners look forward, she urged Verily to cheer up quickly, the outside world is beautiful, and there are eligible bachelors everywhere.
The two shared sisterly chatter, one being tactful not wanting to hurt feelings, the other playing dumb and pretending not to understand.
Wayne emerged from the bathroom, in a white shirt, looking refreshed, his fingers combing through his wet hair, "Verily, I’ve got all the gifts... huh, where’s the gift in the corner?"
"I’ll go get it."
Chriss tiptoed out of the master bedroom, all her things had been moved to Verily’s room, now was not the right time to speak of this, it would surely make Verily sad.
Verily, with still red-rimmed eyes and a heavy nasal voice, approached Wayne, "Wayne, did you sleep with the senior girl?"
"I did."
Wayne admitted frankly, Verily felt a chill in her heart, taking it as him making a choice, she hesitated, "Then... what about Veronica, does she know?"
"She doesn’t know, and I’ve slept with her too."
"Ah, this..."
The sincere expression of a lecher didn’t seem fake, leaving Verily at a loss, a stream of questions floated by, eventually coalescing into one sentence.
Why, when she was clearly there first!
"And you..."
Wayne leaned down and whispered in Verily’s ear, "You’re next, once you three joined my Detective Agency, don’t even think about escaping, I want you all."
Verily blushed, feeling secretly thrilled, but his words, domineering at first listen, seemed all too insubstantial upon reflection and not worth the excitement.
Maybe she should just give up!
Withdraw now, turn around to bless Veronica and the senior girl, watching them both, pregnant bellies and all, squabbling...
Hold on, there’s a chance!
Verily’s eyes brightened, spotting an opportunity, but on second thought, she had already lost, being clingy would only make her seem unreasonable and brainless, risking losing Wayne, Veronica, and Chriss.
The blond head turned left and right, torn between wanting to fight for it, not wanting to let go, and wanting to leave, still not wanting to let go.
She wanted both the man and her sisters!
And the more she thought about it, the angrier she became.
It’s still the same point, she was there first, she was the one who fell for Wayne at first sight, why should she be the one to swallow her pride and hold back her feelings.
She never hid her affections, wearing her heart on her face; it was Veronica and Chriss who disregarded sisterhood to take her boyfriend!
"No need for wild thoughts, brace yourself, I’m starting to pursue you now," Wayne patted Verily’s shoulder, no need for handouts, he would take the initiative.
Verily, all muddled, contended, "Can’t you just want one, what you’re doing... it’s not right."
"I’ve already slept with them, if I sever the relationship now, would I still be human!"
Then you shouldn’t have slept with them!
Verily shook her head in exasperation, and after a long while, she ceded the initiative, "Since you want us all, then you pursue us properly, but let me be clear, I’m not Veronica or the senior girl, I’m not as easily fooled as they are."
"Don’t worry, I have quite the knack for wooing girls, I won’t let you be single."
"..."
Verily: (눈‸눈)
Not even as a foursome okay!
