Chapter 1333: Chapter 445: The Legacy of the Life Alliance

Idinis spoke with a mix of bitterness and dissatisfaction; one might even think she had been plotted against by her sisters.

Were it not for the recent friction, Wayne would have thought the same, but now...

He’s not quite sure.

His intuition tells him the headmistress lacks worldly desires and couldn’t possibly have romantic inclinations, yet reality is laid out before him—she could have left, but she didn’t.

"Ahem!"

Wayne clenched his fist and coughed lightly: "Idinis, just now..."

"Shut up!"

Idinis glared at Wayne, wondering why he was calling her so intimately; it was all an accident earlier, and, could he stop blushing?

Has anyone ever told you that when you blush, you’re just asking for a punch? It makes my fists itch.

Idinis took a deep breath, wanting to say something responsible, but the words wouldn’t come out, so she slightly shook her head, telling Wayne not to speak.

It’s over. Nothing happened.

Wayne looked stunned. If Idinis had said she was taking responsibility at that moment, he would have thought it was intentional, noticing the arrival of the Sun and Moonlight Goddesses and making a big investment.

Not saying anything goes against the principle of prioritizing benefits...

That wasn’t an investment!

Seeing Wayne’s shock, Idinis felt annoyed. She thought about it and decided that if Wayne wants to misunderstand, let him misunderstand.

Maybe due to the close relationship, Idinis was too lazy to act out the headmistress again, speaking in an indifferent tone: "The Sun and Moonlight Goddesses have seen you. Did they say anything about me, any bad words?"

"More than bad words, they were curses. You have no idea, Shi Luke and Galle were swearing terribly at that time." Wayne switched to business mode, condemning the immoral behavior of the two goddesses speaking ill behind backs.

"You, know their names..."

Idinis said expressionlessly: "Tell me, how did you fool them? Did you use my name to provoke them?"

"Pretty much."

"Haha, you sure know how to do business, earning handsomely from both opposing sides using light and dark as the rationale." Idinis sneered.

"You earned more here."

"..."

The conversation died abruptly.

Idinis had never encountered such aggravating troubles before, she glared coldly at Wayne: "Speak properly, I’m here for business. If you’re unwilling to talk, I’ll leave right now."

The resentment was strong.

At least in Wayne’s ears, the resentment was heavy, and the atmosphere felt less like business discussion and more like seeking an explanation.

Wayne offered no explanation, cutting off the previous part as if it never happened, and decisively said, "You might not believe it, but the Goddess of Death came first."

"Do you know Death’s true name?"

"No."

"Then she didn’t come first!"

Idinis spoke coldly: "I don’t know what she said to you, but she’s not trustworthy. Under any circumstances, whatever happens, never sympathize with her."

What do you mean, do you know I know the situation in Hades?

Wayne raised an eyebrow, ready to inquire, but Idinis spoke first: "Go ahead, Shi Luke, Galle gave you what benefits, you can exaggerate, and I’ll follow suit."

They can’t offer you as much as I can; you’re the second-major shareholder, right after the Goddess of Death.

Wayne said nothing and showed the map with a wave.

Idinis was stunned at the sight, glanced at Wayne, and said: "I’ll give you a piece of information for free, this is the legacy of the Life Alliance. Once, in the Life Alliance, Death and I were there, and everyone was striving to learn. But five goddesses were timid and survived."

"Corrupted knowledge?"

"Yes."

Wayne nodded secretly, if he expected correctly, the knowledge came from The Void, unfiltered, filled with the truth of The Void.

The knowledge of The Void is primitive and irrational; it’s like the Ancient God’s whispers in your ear while learning, causing distortion and loss of the original appearance.

Or perhaps, the Ancient God’s whispers reside within the knowledge itself, learning equates to listening to those whispers.

How to differentiate knowledge, how to reject The Void’s evolution, is a highly advanced science.

According to the elevation in the Sorcerer Realm, the Life Barrier can briefly protect a Golden Mage entering and exiting The Void; the Life Force Field allows a Legendary Mage to enter The Void, refusing knowledge and change; the Life Domain can reverse the knowledge to others, creating unstable minions through corruption.

Advancing further to the Semi-finished Divine Domain, located in The Void yet independent, and the vast amount of knowledge held by deities, hints at one possibility.

The primitive accumulation of deities and faith are inseparable!

Before Becoming a God, no one can refuse The Void’s truth; to avoid merging with The Void, one must find sacrifices to share the cost.

This is how followers came!

Followers believe in deities, learn the deity’s knowledge, Faith Magic, or Divine Arts, while sharing the pressure of The Void for their faith.

In the Mortal World, the stronger the Mage, the more severe their madness.

And most Legendary Mages have one common fault; they don’t respect faith as much as they appear, given the chance, they’d rather go to Hell than the Divine Nation.

The root cause of Legendary Mages’ madness has been found.

However, the knowledge of deities is already very clean; those who don’t believe in deities and explore the future themselves, like those Legendary Mages entering The Void, seldom end well.

Learning knowledge requires sacrifice; offering faith to the deities costs far less than exploring The Void on one’s own.

In fact, it doesn’t even require offering faith!
