Mythical Monster Evolution-Chapter 41: Body Reconstruction #2

After killing all the ratbos, Kai was still welcomed within the Elven Kingdom, and the king even went as far as to say that he would always be welcomed with open arms.

Kai was surprised since he would definitely try to go to the Trial of Monsters and potentially hurt the elves guarding it. However, it seemed like the king did not care for such things, or, at the very least, it did not show on his face.

After Kai left, he went into the forest and killed off a few monsters so that he would reach the 35,000 experience mark and achieve his 4th Growth Stage before his evolution. That way, he would obtain a completely new skill that he would still be able to utilize in his next evolution.

And that’s exactly what he did as he obtained a brand new skill called: [Dragonic Knowledge].

The skill was definitely a nice addition to have since Kai would finally be able to understand anyone without any problem. Still, he wouldn’t be able to speak their language just yet, but he would understand, which was better than nothing.

As for the second part of the skill, the understanding of the dragon body, it was much more useful than it seemed.

For example, as soon as Kai obtained this skill, years of knowledge entered his mind about the dragons’ history, from the way they trained and fought to all kinds of battle techniques. It was incredible. Kai had basically obtained years of knowledge in a fraction of a second without having to do anything whatsoever.

Nevertheless, Kai didn’t want to spend too much time learning the new techniques with this current body since he would soon change it for a completely different one.

That’s why Kai was currently sitting on a branch, thinking about the mix of bloodlines that he would use in his next evolution—an evolution that he would finally be able to create on his own.

A mix of dragons, spirit, and human.

It would surely be a strange one, and even Isla was curious about how such a creature would look.

The human bloodline Kai possessed was minimal, but Kai was hoping that it would do something, and it’s not like it would be a great loss if it did not.

Kai made up his mind and opened his evolution space without wasting another moment. He had already lost a few hours getting far from the elven village, making sure that no one would be looking at him for what would be happening next.

After all, the ability for a monster to evolve into new, unknown monsters was something that needed to be kept under wraps. If the Order or anyone learned of it, then it would spell disaster for the entire country without a doubt.

Nevertheless, Kai opened his evolution space and entered it, where a giant appeared before him, listing all of the bloodlines he had accumulated over the past weeks. There were a lot; however, most of them were ignored by Kai since they had little to no use.

"Let’s proceed with the bloodlines I chose, Isla."

Kai had already decided on how much percentage he would be using from each of the bloodlines.

He would be diluting the percentage of the Nocturne Dragon, which was currently at a whopping 100%.

"Put 20% of the Spirit King Bloodline into my next evolution, 40% of the Blue Dragon Bloodline into it, 39.997%, and 0.003% of the Human Bloodline into my next evolution."

The system seemed to understand everything as it filled up the screen before Kai.

[Keep in mind that you will be able to go back to your previous evolution at any given time. However, the bloodlines used will be lost forever.]

Kai nodded.

While he would be able to go back, if he decided to do so, he wouldn’t be able to return to that evolution. This meant that Kai wouldn’t be able to switch appearances as he wished. Still, it made sense. Otherwise, he would have been able to change his form depending on the situation, which makes no sense.

"Proceed with the evolution, please."

A bright light suddenly shone from Kai’s body, blinding him and everyone who was around him.

Kai felt his body slowly becoming smaller as the evolution process began. He felt new scales growing all over his body... However, that was it.

’Did I just become a new dragon?’ Kai thought, still blinded. ’Why is it that I cannot feel anything?’

Apart from new scales, Kai didn’t feel many changes from the Spirit King Bloodline, which should have taken a good part of his evolution, but seemed practically nonexistent. At least, that’s how he felt based on the sensations going through his entire being.

However, the light soon began to dissipate, and Kai could finally open his eyes once again.

He saw his reflection right away inside the Evolution Space, and his eyes widened at what he saw.

His scales were black, but there was a small difference; each of them had a blue reflection based on the intensity of the light. However, that’s not what shocked Kai; it was this strange halo of mystical energy surrounding his body. It was dark, just like the shadows; however, it seemed to be constantly around his body, moving along with him.

’Is that the effect of the Spirit King Bloodline?’ Kai thought as he tried touching the energy, unsure of its effect.

But then, as the system seemed to read his mind, an explanation about his new evolution appeared before him.

Kai frowned as there were no mentions of the human bloodline anywhere in the description.
