Mystic Calling:Stone of Glory-Chapter 259: That aura—it’s the Dragon King’s!
Chapter 259: That aura—it’s the Dragon King’s!
"Gold Dragon?"
The black dragon known as Zyraxis froze for a moment, his eyes narrowing as he shifted his gaze—only now realizing that this warship carried a Mythic Ace Unit onboard.
A Mythic Ace Unit...
And alongside that, a living, breathing Crimson Ultimate hero.
That was more than enough to command his attention—hell, even his respect.
With that thought, Zyraxis’s massive form shimmered, and in a flash of arcane light, he transformed into a tall, strikingly handsome man. He descended gracefully onto the deck of the warship, landing with practiced ease. Bowing slightly toward Ethan, he said in a deep, respectful voice, "Honored Lord, I apologize. I didn’t recognize your identity earlier and may have acted out of turn. Please forgive the offense."
He paused, then added with deliberate formality, "Zyraxis of the Mana Crystal Dragon clan, at your service, Lord of Emerald Castle."
"No worries... It’s good to meet you, Zyraxis," Ethan replied with a casual shake of his head, signaling it was no big deal.
At the same time, he gave the man a once-over, and in the next instant, a simplified version of Zyraxis’s stat panel popped up in front of his eyes.

"SSS-tier?" Ethan blinked, then sucked in a sharp breath, stunned.
This might be the first time he’d ever seen an Orange Legendary Hero rated SSS-tier.
Damn, this guy’s a beast.
Even though Zyraxis was only level 61, his stats were already outclassing Malphas, the Infernal Lord he’d fought earlier—who was level 68!
Unfortunately, since Zyraxis wasn’t one of Ethan’s subordinates, he couldn’t access the full, detailed stat panel—just this rough overview.
But even that was more than enough.
An SSS-tier Orange Hero? That said it all.
"I wonder what brings the two of you to our Sacred Isle?" Zyraxis asked, his tone calm but firm. "Lord Valtharion, I’ll be honest—Paxton should know this too—normally, outsiders aren’t allowed to set foot here during peacetime..."
But before he could finish, a voice rang out from the direction of Gem Dragon Isle. It was ancient—so old it seemed to echo from the bones of the island itself.
"Zyraxis, bring them in."
Zyraxis stiffened. "Grand Elder?" he muttered, then immediately fell silent. He turned to Ethan and Paxton, gesturing politely. "My apologies. Please, come with me. The Grand Elder wishes to see you."
Paxton blinked, caught off guard.
He hadn’t expected things to go this smoothly...
And now even the Grand Elder of the Sacred Isle was getting involved? That was huge. The Grand Elder was second only to that one supreme figure—basically the highest authority on the entire island.
"Alright, lead the way," Ethan said, his tone thoughtful.
He had a hunch this was the system’s doing. That orange-tier tome, Gemstone Isles, was probably the key—literally. A quest key.
And once you had the key, getting through the door was just a matter of time.
Now the real question was—how hard was the quest going to be?
Either way, he was looking forward to it.
After all, the rewards for this mission had to be at least as good as the last one... if not better.
Assuming, of course, he was strong enough to claim them.
Before long, under the guidance of Zyraxis, the Mana Crystal Dragon, Ethan and Paxton set foot on the legendary Gem Dragon Isle.
As they ventured deeper into the island, Ethan found himself standing atop a breathtaking cliffside overlooking a glittering gemstone quarry. The air was crisp, the view stunning—and waiting for them were six majestic Gem Dragons, each one radiating a dazzling brilliance, their scales shimmering like living jewels.
"Elders," Zyraxis said respectfully, bowing his head. "The Lord of Emerald Castle and Paxton of the Gemspire Kingdom have arrived."
"Mmm..."
One of the dragons—clearly the eldest among them, his features weathered with age—turned his gaze toward Ethan, studying him for a moment. Then, with a faint smile, he looked to Paxton and said in a calm, almost dismissive tone, "Paxton, you needn’t involve yourself in what comes next."
The Tidebreaker Paxton blinked, caught off guard for a second, but quickly nodded. "Understood, Elders. I’ll take my leave."
He’d only come to escort Ethan here anyway. Now that they’d arrived, it was time for him to step aside.
Once Paxton had departed, the Grand Elder turned his full attention back to Ethan. His eyes gleamed with a strange light as he spoke in a low, deliberate voice. "You carry the token of the Dragon King, don’t you?"
The Dragon King’s token?
The moment those words left the elder’s mouth, Zyraxis visibly stiffened, his eyes widening in shock as he turned to stare at Ethan. The "Dragon King" the Grand Elder referred to... there was only one being worthy of that title. That one.
"You mean this?" Ethan asked, already catching on.
He reached into his inventory and pulled out the orange-tier tome—Gemstone Isles.
The moment it appeared, the atmosphere shifted.
All six Gem Dragons reacted instantly—their expressions changed, their eyes lit up, and a wave of emotion rippled through the group.
"There’s no mistaking it... That aura—it’s the Dragon King’s!"
"Gods, it’s been so long... That presence... Dragon King, are you still watching over us?"
"Do you remember what the Dragon King commanded? If someone could pass the trial, they’d be allowed to receive the blessing of the Sacred Altar... and we’d gift them some Seeds of Creature Dwellings as well!"
"Right! But the trial can’t be easy... How about sending him to the Deep Sea Leviathan lair? One of our sacred relics—the Gem Dragon Bracelet—was lost there ages ago..."
"Even if it’s not of much use anymore, better to bring it home than leave it rotting in the deep."
"I agree!"
"Same here!"
The six dragons murmured among themselves, their voices overlapping in a chorus of ancient power and excitement.
Finally, the Grand Elder—the oldest and most authoritative among them—turned back to Ethan, his voice solemn.
"Lord of Emerald Castle," he said, "are you willing to accept our trial? To descend into the depths of the sea and retrieve our sacred relic—the Gem Dragon Bracelet—from the clutches of the vile Deep Sea Leviathans?"
And just as the words left the elder’s mouth, a familiar chime echoed in Ethan’s ears.
Ding!
