Mystic Calling:Stone of Glory-Chapter 220: We’re here!
Chapter 220: We’re here!
"What about the limitations of the Twinfold Arcane Gate? Does it depend on the size or number of units we’re trying to send through?"
Ethan looked up at the massive portal arching overhead, his voice echoing slightly. "Some of our units are huge—are you saying they can’t pass through this thing?"
"It’s not about size," Cicero replied, shaking his head. "Even my true form can move through this gate without a problem. The real limitation of the Twinfold Arcane Gate is personal power."
"Personal power?" Ethan blinked, confused.
"Yeah..." Cicero paused, then explained, "If someone’s power level is too high, it can destabilize the spatial channel. But magic can mask a lot of that. It really depends on the situation. For now, though, we don’t need to worry about it."
Ethan nodded, then asked, "How long would it take to build another Twinfold Arcane Gate?"
"Half a day, give or take..."
"And if you moved at top speed, how long would it take to get the second gate back to Emerald Castle?"
"All in all? A little over a day."
"A day, huh..." Ethan fell silent, deep in thought.
A day wasn’t long, but it wasn’t short either. If Crimsonstar Kingdom launched their attack during that window, things could get messy—fast.
"My Lord!"
Just then, Thalassa came rushing over from the distance, her expression tense. "My Lord, Crimsonstar Kingdom has started mobilizing their legions. Based on our intel, they’ll be here in three to five days!"
"Three to five days?" Ethan’s eyes narrowed. He turned to Thalassa. "Are you sure we’ve got at least three days?"
"Yes," Thalassa nodded without hesitation. "At the very least. Moving an army that size takes time."
Ethan gave a small nod, then fell silent again.
After a moment, he turned to Cicero and said slowly, "Cicero, it’s on you. I want that second gate built and delivered back to Emerald Castle within a day and a half. Then bring Seraphina, Elyra, Balthazar—bring them all here."
"Understood." Cicero nodded firmly, then asked, "All of them? What about the Eastern Front?"
"Leave it for now. A few days away won’t change much. The decisive battle over there is still a long way off."
Then Ethan’s tone shifted, his eyes flashing with a cold, ruthless light. "Right now, our top priority is to hit Crimsonstar Kingdom hard—make them understand what it costs to go head-to-head with Emerald Castle."
"I understand," Cicero said, his own eyes gleaming with a sharp, icy glint. "Don’t worry, my Lord. I’ll get it done. Seraphina, Elyra, the whole team—I’ll bring them back within a day and a half."
"Good. Get moving. The sooner you’re back, the better."
...
Half a day later, Cicero quietly slipped out of the Stellamaris Kingdom’s pocket dimension.
VMMM!
RUMBLE!
A little over a day passed, and deep within the Stellamaris Kingdom’s alternate space, the Twinfold Arcane Gate suddenly began to tremble. A surge of spatial energy burst forth, rippling through the air.
One by one, massive figures stepped out of the radiant, swirling portal. It was Cicero, followed by Seraphina, Elyra, and Balthazar.
"You made it," Ethan said, exhaling in relief as he saw them arrive right on time.
"My Lord!"
"We’re here!" Elyra and Seraphina rushed over to him, their faces lighting up.
Balthazar stayed back a step, giving Ethan a respectful nod. "My Lord. We’ve arrived."
"Good." Ethan smiled, reaching out to gently ruffle the hair on Seraphina and Elyra’s foreheads.
Then his gaze swept across the group, his voice steady and commanding. "I’m sure Cicero’s filled you in on the situation. I won’t waste time repeating it. This battle—we have to win. Any objections?"
"None!" Seraphina, Balthazar, and the others shouted in unison.
"Excellent."
Ethan raised his arm and gestured for them to follow. "Come with me. Time to meet your new allies."
With that, he led them toward Coral Fortress.
...
"Thalassa, I need you to hand over full command of all Stellamaris Kingdom units—right now."
As soon as Ethan arrived at Coral Fortress, he went straight to Thalassa without wasting a second.
Stellamaris Kingdom’s forces might not be on the same level as Crimsonstar Kingdom or the Unicorn Duchy, but they weren’t weak either. And with Draven’s troops added into the mix—then placed under Seraphina’s direct command—they’d become a formidable force.
"Understood, my Lord," Thalassa replied without hesitation.
She didn’t argue or stall. She immediately transferred full control of Stellamaris Kingdom’s military to Ethan.
But the moment she laid eyes on Seraphina, Balthazar, and the others, her composure cracked. Her eyes widened, and she sucked in a sharp breath, stunned.
Seraphina. Cicero. Balthazar. And let’s not forget the Gold Dragon, Auremax.
That was two Mythic Ace Units and two Crimson Ultimate heroes.
That lineup was absolutely insane.
Not long after, the full breakdown of forces under Ethan’s command—including those from Stellamaris Kingdom, Draven, and his own army—was compiled and laid out.
Draven’s forces included:
2 Epic-tier (Purple) hero units
5 Tier-13 Kirin
27 Tier-12 Naga Swordmasters
76 Tier-11 Naga Swordmasters
Stellamaris Kingdom’s forces included:
6 Epic-tier (Purple) hero units
14 Rare-tier (Blue) hero units
17 Tier-13 Kirin
150 Tier-12 Naga Swordmasters
Over 450 Tier-11 Naga Swordsmen
Ethan’s personal forces included:
5 Tier-13 Kirin
3 Tier-14 Sacred Kirin
A number of Tier-11 and Tier-12 Royal Units
So, putting it all together—and not even counting the Unicorn Duchy reinforcements—Ethan now commanded:
3 Tier-14 Sacred Kirin
30 Tier-13 Kirin
177 Tier-12 Naga Swordmasters
Over 500 Tier-11 Naga Swordsmen
Plus the heavy hitters: Cicero, Seraphina, Gold Dragon Auremax, and Balthazar—two Crimson Ultimate heroes and two Mythic Ace Units.
As for Emerald Castle’s Green Dragon Legion and the Behemoth Legion, Ethan had chosen not to bring them in.
The Green Dragon Legion was too small to make a difference, and while the Behemoth Legion had the numbers, they weren’t suited for naval warfare. Their real strength was needed on the Unicorn Duchy front, so there was no point in pulling them away.
All in all, this force wasn’t weak by any stretch—but calling it overwhelming would be a bit much. If this was all they had against Crimsonstar Kingdom, they’d probably get crushed.
But once the Unicorn Duchy’s reinforcements arrived?
Then it’d be a whole different story.
Ethan’s eyes narrowed, a cold gleam flashing in their depths as he muttered to himself, "Now we wait for them to come deliver us some free XP..."
With victory all but guaranteed, every major battle became a goldmine—a perfect opportunity to farm experience.
That was the real reason he’d summoned Seraphina, Elyra, and the others here: to make sure they didn’t miss this golden opportunity. If they could rack up enough kills, they might just break through to the next level—Second Awakening.
