Myriad Devils-Chapter 269: Deserving of death!
The 9th Heavenly Abode, Jade Vine Pure World...
A vast, barren landscape, the Barren Land of Old.
Kaleidoscopic colors gathered, and the space crystallized like multi-colored glass before parting, making way for a red-haired figure in dark armor to step out.
Elshen did not have the appearance of a young man, nor was he particularly aged. A middle-aged mortal man was the best way to describe him.
Naturally, he had beauty much beyond any mortal existence, like all otherworldly elves, and most otherworldly creatures throughout creation.
Observing his new surroundings, a set of coordinates drifted throughout his internal web of thoughts.
Hmm?
Knitting his brows, he looked in a particular direction.
It was a barren landscape, but he saw further...
’Everything is going just as she had deduced,’ he mused.
Nodding his head, he thought, ’Well, it makes sense. Whenever she deduced, I listened, and then I voiced my Fate, and weaved a desirable Destiny, and etched it in Inevitability.’
He considered this foolproof...
He thought that it would be difficult for many things to stray from the preordained course of events he had established...
Well, abstract souls were difficult to manipulate, but Dimension Lords could not easily intervene with this opportunity, so he was not worried.
By the time they could, it would already be too late, and he’d acquire what he wished to acquire.
However, there was always the risk that an Overlord would coincidentally ruin everything, but what was the likelihood that he would be the target of a third Overlord less than a hundred years after entering the cosmic space?
Even he found that to be an impossible reality.
Thinking like this, his lips tugged upward, and the dark armor protecting his heart region disassembled, revealing a heart-shaped cosmic void littered with stars embedded into his chest.
This was the so-called Heart realm.
The inner world of otherworldly creatures was nestled within the Heart realm.
When destroyed, the otherworldly creature would lose its cultivation and risk death. After all, the soul was located in this Heart realm.
It was the core of the Heart realm.
However, there was still a chance for the otherworldly creature to be reborn through their past self.
Nevertheless, when killed by Humanity’s Young Lord, the soul held no chance to escape to their past self, and there was no hope of revival.
The principle of Inevitability would not allow that, and the undying fire empowered by such a principle of Inevitability made it all the more hopeless.
Elshen drove his hand deep into his Heart realm, retrieving a miniature Cosmic Vessel. The Cosmic Vessel quickly expanded, and he leapt right onto the vessel.
’First order of the day, stumble across a little realm father, win his heart, pluck a cosmic treasure, and be ’guided’ to the ancient city...’
Inwardly chuckling, outwardly, he had an unamused face.
.....
The Fellspire Mountains appeared as towering mountain spires with summits lost in swirling clouds that spiraled like tempests, casting shadows over the valleys below.
Deep within the Fellspire Mountain, encompassed by mountain spires on all sides, was a gathering of darkness that could easily be confused for a deep abyss.
On the top of one of these mountain spires sat an ordinary-looking old man adorned in a black cloak. His eyes were closed, and he sat in deep meditation.
Some time passed, and he opened his eyes and looked in a particular direction. Far into the distance, a Cosmic Vessel was approaching from the Barren Land of Old...
His face twisted into an unpleasant expression.
"Even though it is only a High-Tier cosmic treasure, my space-dominating, star-lock seal should’ve blocked any cosmic phenomena," he muttered in a hoarse voice.
"Little Slaughter Hound!" He shouted, "Go and drive that Cosmic Vessel away for me."
A crimson shadow shot across the skies, leaving a trail of demonic manifestations. The crimson shadow raced through space and made its way toward the approaching Cosmic Vessel...
The old man’s lips tugged upward slightly, "If you aren’t even of Five Folds, you can only blame your luck for whatever happens next."
Thereafter, he closed his eyes and resumed his meditation.
.....
A Cosmic Vessel traversed the skies above the Barren Land of Old. On it were four cosmos forgers and a realm father that was naturally the leader.
Though the leader appeared to be a young man, one of the cosmos forgers respectfully voiced, "Ancestor, father previously said that there are as many cosmos forgers in the Ancient City of Sun Jade as there are specs of dust across this Barren Land of Old."
"Is that really true?"
Hehe...
The young man in the lead wore loose green robes and had a calm persona. He had viridescent-colored eyes and feminine beauty.
If not for the fact that being referred to as ’He/Him’ was a sign of power, he could also easily be confused for a maiden.
He chuckled lightly at the words of the visibly aged figure at his side.
His hands were clasped behind his straight and upright back.
"Your father merely jests." He said with a pleasant and soothing voice, "Though it isn’t as exaggerated as that, there are indeed hundreds of billions and trillions of cosmos forgers in the Ancient City of Sun Jade."
The Ancient City of Sun Jade was, after all, one of the largest and most prosperous cities across the Jade Vine Pure World. 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
The cosmos forgers were immediately stunned.
This was one way to showcase how insignificant they were.
Mortals were innumerable, so naturally, otherworldly creatures did not need to put them in their eyes.
However, it also seemed that amongst the otherworldly plane of existence, cosmos forgers were also insignificant.
At this time, the young man dressed in green robes squinted his eyes and looked into the distance.
.....
Elshen’s Cosmic Vessel traversed the skies above the Barren Land of Old.
The Cosmic Vessel had altered its course after raging waves of energies pushed against it and had hampered its movements.
Now, it approached a certain Fellspire Mountains.
Deep within the Cosmic Vessel, Elshen sat in meditation.
A pair of Region Dominating Blades rested on his thighs, and they began to hum.
His eyebrows were thick, and his red eyelashes were long. His skin was as smooth as jade, and his expression was one of serenity.
The turbulent energies pulled his consciousness out of meditation, causing him to open his eyes.
Frowning, he pondered aloud, "Such a vile creation. Harming my ticket is deserving of death!"
