Myriad Devils-Chapter 267: The 23rd Heaven, Cloud Sea World
To confront the Primary-Level Dimension Lords all vying to grasp the paradisical opportunity, the most obvious path forward was improving Anon’s strength.
After all, the Omniscient Saintess could not leave Mythralis and acquire this opportunity for him, and even if she could leave, she would still be prevented from intervening.
This also included all those who already had paradisical souls.
No such entity could directly involve itself with this paradisical opportunity.
However, this was not all bad, since it meant that even if it was known by the entire cosmic space that Anon sought out this opportunity, they could not directly interfere.
After all, the Overlords would still find a way to dabble in this mess, because even the Overlords were interested, but luckily, their means were restricted.
What he feared the most was a situation similar to the Wandering, or the Tenebrisculis.
One had sought to directly attack him, and the other...
Well, even if he had gotten out of the situation safely, that entire situation was uncomfortable and unsafe all the way until he had tamed it.
He had completely lucked out with the Tenebrisculis.
There was likely no other Overlord with such an unsure nature.
Not only that, but it only went to show that, if an Overlord truly wanted to, they would appear before him, even if he was deep within the Human Domain.
He did not really understand the Human Emperors, nor their train of thought.
His most reliable person amongst them was his aunt, but even her surface thoughts and intentions were unreadable.
Initially, their counterattack on the Wandering made him assured, but the appearance of Tenebrisculis had shattered all illusions.
The safest thing was to simply forget about them.
Relying on oneself was much more difficult than relying on other, more powerful individuals. But with myriad devils running rampant in this world, relying on oneself leads to more certainty.
Anyways...
He had less than five hundred years.
The World Tree was akin to a universe-reaching pillar, or a cosmic tower that influenced the entirety of the Eternal Antiquity Prime region.
Due to its existence, each Heavenly Abode within the Prime region was part of an intricate net, with the World Tree as the core.
There were thirty-six such Heavenly Abodes...
Each Heavenly Abode had many worlds, including innumerable mortal worlds.
Upon enlightening 20% of the four base principles, Anon was capable of confronting Secondary-Level Dimension Lords, especially when Fate, Destiny, and Inevitability worked in unison.
However, the Secondary-Level Dimension Lord in question was naturally a bottom-feeder amongst them all.
Outside of Supreme Armaments and Divine Battle Arts, he was also lacking in cosmic treasures that could augment his advantages and nullify his weaknesses.
He only needed one...
With just one Supreme Top-Tier cosmic treasure, he could forcefully raise his strength against the heavy hitters.
Coupled with a Heavenly Supreme Armament and two or three more Supreme Top-Tier cosmic treasures, Anon’s strength would expand beyond the scope of Secondary-Level Dimension Lords!
But the 100 Billion Dark Gold in the Domain of Dreams was not enough to acquire all of this.
And this is where the elven territory came into play...
.....
When the power of the World Tree fell on him, Anon’s entire sense of self was submerged by an indistinguishable sensation.
There was a sense of being lifted, or even liberated, but it soon disappeared, and when his perception settled within his third eye, he opened his two eyes and saw a unique realm of existence.
"It begins in the 23rd Heaven," he mumbled to himself whilst taking in the world around him.
Anon stood in the skies above a sea of clouds.
Sunshine fell on his brilliant form, and the blue skies were bright and soul-soothing.
A faint smile could not help but form on his face.
’According to my dearest, this world is known as the cloud sea world.’
The Cloud Sea World was known for its inherent picturesque appearance.
This was not so much a world of treasures and fighting, but a world located on the very edge of the 23rd Heaven.
In fact, since it was located on the edge of the 23rd Heaven, there was a meager amount of cosmic providence, and there was a very small chance that a cosmic treasure would naturally appear.
Anon breathed in deeply.
There was a high concentration of stellar cosmic energy that permeated this world, likely due to the fact that there were not many otherworldly creatures residing in it.
After all, in the Eternal Antiquity Prime region, worlds closer to the edge of Heavenly Abodes were filled with mortal Elves.
It was actually very rare to even find more than a handful of otherworldly creatures in such a world.
However, there was one otherworldly creature that resided in this particular Cloud Sea World that had drawn Anon’s attention.
Well, in truth, they had drawn his wife’s attention, and his wife then went on to give Anon a suggestion.
’The World Tree has drawn plentiful cosmic providence to the Eternal Antiquity Prime region. Due to this, cosmic treasures come into existence very regularly.’
’Soon, the Jade Vine Pure World within the 9th Heaven will give birth to an opportunity for realm fathers. However, a Supreme Top-Tier cosmic treasure will also appear, and Dimension Lords have already made their own preparations.’
The Elven Dimension Lords in that location have schemed for some hundred years, seeking out this Supreme Top-Tier cosmic treasure; however, the best of schemers is their very own Venerable Saintess.
And the Omniscient Saintess loved her husband more than her own race...
This was the purpose of Anon’s adventure across the Heavenly Abodes.
To prowl throughout the many Heavens and plunder in preparation for the paradisical opportunity.
He glanced toward the space before him.
’But the Young Lord of Humanity cannot be caught plundering in the same Elven Territory that he was sent to form an allegiance with.’ 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
Anon had outrightly refuted his wife’s suggestion.
With his status, if he were caught plundering the Elven people, wouldn’t he get in trouble?
Most of these refutes were sarcastic.
He didn’t really care, but his wife reminded him anyway...
Even if he didn’t care, there was still no reason why he should be caught.
After all, he had a Boundless physique, and one of its inherent traits was the Dark Soul.
The other was the God’s Eye that paired beautifully with the Dark Soul.
And the third was the Boundless Body that worked in unison with these previous two traits.
Rather than the Young Lord of Humanity plundering the Elven territory, wouldn’t it be more acceptable if it were an Elven creature that plundered instead?
’I love my wife.’
