My Wife Longs for Divorce Every Day-Chapter 587 - : 587, old curmudgeon
Chapter 587: 587, old curmudgeon
“Pfft!” Su Wanwan spewed out her drink.
“Oh, sister-in-law, why are you so fond of drinking milk?”
Su Wanwan wiped her mouth grumpily, “What milk? This is coconut milk!”
“Really? It sure looks like milk to me.” While speaking, Chu Xiuhuang gave Huo Jingshen a sinister look.
He could guarantee that this old wicked man was doing it on purpose!
Intentionally letting the young lady drink coconut milk!
Allowing his imagination to run wild, fulfilling his perverse psychology. His intentions were simply insidious!
Huo Jingshen gave him a cold sideways glance, “Can’t you last a day without causing mischief?”
Chu Xiuhuang clicked his tongue, “Big brother, mind your words. There are ladies here, can we be civil? What’s all this nonsense about causing mischief? Do I seem like such a person?”
Huo Jingshen didn’t bother entertaining him.
Mo Weiyi also rolled his eyes, he simply turned around, “Wanwan, didn’t Huanhuan come today?”
“I have no clue.”
Chu Xiuhuang: “…”
He had to bring that up.
Before Mo Weiyi could ask any further, Chu Xiuhuang abruptly stood up, “Oh, I just spotted a friend. You guys carry on.”
Everyone: “…”
**
After leaving the banquet hall, Chu Xiuhuang headed all the way upstairs.
With a swipe of the room card, the door opened.
Chu Xiuhuang walked into the suite. He scanned the room with his staring eyes and was very satisfied.
The floor was littered with red rose petals, the ceiling was covered with various red and pink balloons, pink ribbons hung next to the multi-layered chandelier, and even the originally white sheets and duvet cover were replaced with a pink series.
Yes.
He decided to consummate his relationship with Little Huanhuan here tonight!
Because once it passed midnight, it would be February 14th, Valentine’s Day in the West, a day of great commemorative significance.
Standing in front of the bed, Chu Xiuhuang suddenly turned around, looking at the man in the mirror.
Today he was dressed in a black suit, extremely formal, handsome, elegant, simply perfect!
This outstanding man was going to spend the night with Little Huanhuan tonight.
His eyes slightly narrowed, he checked the time, took out his phone and dialed Shi Huan’s number, “Little Huanhuan, when can you come?”
“Mr. Chu, I’m already in the car.”
“What are you wearing?”
“Huh?”
“I mean, the dress I sent you, did you put it on?”
“Mr. Chu…”
“Don’t come if you haven’t put it on!” Chu Xiuhuang hung up the phone right after he spoke.
On the other end of the call, Shi Huan was completely baffled.
Thankfully, she had brought the dress along.
She wore it last time too, after all.
Shi Huan shook her head, and continued driving.
**
Halfway through the banquet, Mo Weiyi checked the time and stood up, “Wanwan, I’m going to head home.”
“So soon?”
Before Su Wanwan could finish her sentence, Huo Jingshen also speak up, “Baby, we should also head home. You have to go to the TV station tomorrow.”
“Alright then.” Su Wanwan had already eaten and had her fill of cake, the birthday song was also sung, and there was really not much left to do. She didn’t know most of the people present, she might as well go home early and rest.
The Gu family was thriving, with many descendants; after going around earlier, she only recognized Gu Huai’an and Gu Haohao. With so many people present, their departure would probably go unnoticed.
With that, they headed outside. Mo Weiyi’s phone suddenly rang, she glanced at it, “I need to go to the restroom, Rong An, wait for me here.”
“Okay.”
Su Wanwan and Huo Jingshen directly entered the elevator and left.
**
Ladies’ restroom.
Mo Weiyi answered the call, “Xiaobai, what’s up?”
“Are you home yet?” A man’s cold voice sounded on the other end.
“Why the rush? I’m heading home now.”
“Hmm.”
Mo Weiyi held back her laughter, “Why are you worried? Rong An is here.”
“Come to the hospital early tomorrow.”
“Oh.” Mo Weiyi didn’t ask for more details. She opened the cubicle door, “Do you have anything else to say?”
“…” There was silence on the other end for a moment, then, “No.”
“Then I’m hanging up, you get some rest early.”
“Okay.”
After hanging up the call, Mo Weiyi quickly finished up in the restroom, then walked out.
A woman was standing by the sink, with short, sharp black hair and wearing a slim-fitted black suit.
If not for her slender figure and alluring curves that clearly belonged to a woman, Mo Weiyi might have mistaken her for a man.
She went over. While washing her hands, she couldn’t help but glance at the woman.
The woman had fairly white skin and her eyes were downcast as she washed her hands.
With short hair revealing delicate features.
She kind of resembled the androgynously beautiful young stars hitting the screens these days.
How could the Gu family have a friend like this?
Mo Weiyi recalled that she didn’t seem to have seen him at the banquet hall earlier, but…
It doesn’t matter.
She diverted her gaze, washed her hands, took out some lipstick to touch up her makeup, ensuring it was flawless before she left.
Just as she was leaving she heard the faint sound of footsteps behind her.
She dismissed it, but suddenly a hand, unmistakably feminine, reached out with a handkerchief.
Something was pressed over her nose, a strong scent flooding her nostrils.
Before Mo Weiyi could even scream, her eyes rolled back, and she fainted.
Her body slumped down to be caught by a woman.
The woman then dragged her out of the restroom, through the corridor nearby and quickly slipped through a staircase and secret passageway, to an upstairs room. She silently entered after unlocking the door.
The bathroom light was on, the sound of running water could be heard.
The woman laid Mo Weiyi on the bed and began to undress her.
However, as soon as she removed her coat and prepared to unbutton her skirt, footstep sounds approaching rapidly echoed outside.
The woman’s brow furrowed.
Making a quick decision, she pulled a blanket over Mo Weiyi, quickly disappeared out of the French window.
Interior of the opulent suite, Mo Weiyi lay unconscious on the bed, akin to a lifeless doll.
Outside, the night was falling.
**
Having waited on the stairs for half an hour, Rong An began to feel something was wrong.
He rushed over to the women’s restroom. A lady walked out from within.
“Is there someone else inside?” Rong An asked.
The man’s face was stern, his body muscular, and his gaze fierce.
Scared, the woman hastily replied, “Yes, there is.”
Rong An stood there and tried to call Mo Weiyi on her mobile phone.
“I’m sorry, the number you dialed is busy.”
Busy?
Feeling a sense of unease, Rong An continued to wait.
10 minutes passed.
Mo Weiyi still hadn’t come out.
A sudden wave of anxiety surged up in Rong An, so he decided to barge into the restroom, shouting loudly, “Princess, princess?”
The restroom echoed with women’s screams.
After a few seconds, Rong An quickly turned around and left, but not before trying to call Mo Weiyi’s phone again.
Still, the line was busy.
Rong An sensed something was off.
He had no choice but to call Xiao Yebai, yet…
“I’m sorry, but the number you’ve dialed is switched off.”
Looking at the time, it was already past nine at night.
Xiao Yebai always slept early after his hospitalization; he was probably asleep by now.
Left with no other choice, Rong An began to check each room, one by one.
Not until he heard commotion up front, he quickly rushed over.
**
When Mo Weiyi woke up, everything felt strange.
She looked up at the unfamiliar white ceiling. A hanging chandelier shimmered with cascading lights, and multiple ribbons of red and pink hanged around. Various pink and red helium balloons filled the room.
A powerful and strange smell permeated the air.
Something was wrong!
Her heart missed a beat as Mo Weiyi quickly sat up and lifted the covers.
Relieved to find herself still in her evening dress and feeling no abnormalities, she breathed a sigh of relief.
Thank heavens, nothing irreversible had happened.
But where was she?
The sound of running water suddenly broke the silence.
Mo Weiyi glanced to the side, towards the sound.
A large, muscular figure could be seen through the frosted glass of the tightly shut bathroom door.
Coupled with the sound of the water, the scene was eerie.
Anxiously looking around, Mo Weiyi confirmed the room was prearranged with countless roses and sprinklings of pink everywhere. Factoring in the unknown man in the bathroom, Mo Weiyi knew something was terribly wrong.
Having been married for two years and having been intimate countless times, Mo Weiyi knew from her body response that no such thing had happened.
She pulled back the covers and hurriedly got out of bed, slipped into her shoes and grabbed her coat.
She reached for her purse to call Rong An, but realized her phone was gone.
A series of disjointed thoughts scrambled in her mind.
Had she been kidnapped?
Was her abductor in the shower right now?
She had to run away, fast!
