My Wife is a Hidden Big Shot-Chapter 227 - 221: Alvin Morgan Gets Injured, Aurora Fights
Aurora Sinclair’s expression shifted. Her speed was so immense that she burst straight through the woman’s domain of Power, shattering the palm strike with a single punch.
The immense pressure weighing on everyone suddenly lifted.
A sickening thud of fist meeting flesh echoed. The white-haired man’s body arched, and he flew into the air for a moment, spitting blood, before crashing heavily to the ground.
Aurora Sinclair turned to the pale-faced woman and asked earnestly, "Are we still fighting?"
A vicious gleam flashed in the woman’s eyes. She launched three Hidden Weapons at Aurora Sinclair, then spun around and fled.
But the three Hidden Weapons were repelled in midair by Aurora Sinclair’s Power. The fleeing woman faltered and fell flat on the ground.
Suddenly, BANG! Alvin Morgan’s expression changed drastically. With astonishing speed, he shoved Aurora Sinclair aside just as a bullet buried itself in his shoulder.
"Sir—"
Aurora Sinclair’s eyes flew wide. She caught his falling body and whipped her head toward the source of the sound. Beside the car, a Black Skull mercenary dropped his gun, his face a mask of fear.
But she simply flicked a finger in his direction. The mercenary’s body went rigid, followed by a bloodcurdling scream.
Aiden Morgan rushed over to check Alvin Morgan’s wound. There was a red hole in his shoulder blade, blood bubbling out.
"Quick! Back to the city—"

The car sped away.
Aurora Sinclair’s face was tense, her jaw set. She pressed her palm against his shoulder, using her Power to slow the blood flow inside his body.
"I could have dodged that..." Her voice was clipped, suppressing a simmering anger.
Alvin Morgan gritted his teeth against the pain, a faint smile gracing his pale face. "The first time my body has ever moved faster than my mind."
Aurora Sinclair pressed her lips together. "When other people are fighting, don’t get involved. The farther you stay away, the better."
"Alright... I’ll listen to you..."
"You’re too weak. You need to start martial arts training when we get back," Aurora Sinclair added, meeting his gaze.
"Will you... teach me?"
"Mmm..."
An hour later, Alvin Morgan was wheeled into an operating room at The Royal Hospital.
"Listen up! As of today, The Black Wolves are officially declaring war on the Oasis Pirates!" Aiden Morgan roared into his phone, his face contorted with rage.
He had been so focused on his Sir that he’d let Black Skull and the two Eastern Highlanders escape.
A flicker of light crossed Aurora Sinclair’s eyes as she pressed her lips into a thin line.
By the time Aiden Morgan hung up and turned to find her, she had already vanished.
"Where’d she go?"
"Boss, I think she took a car and left—"
Aiden Morgan’s face fell. ’She’s definitely gone to settle the score with Black Skull.’ He bellowed, "Go after her! To Black Skull’s territory—"
Aurora Sinclair drove toward the mining district, scanning the roadside for Black Skull’s black banners.
She didn’t find Black Skull, but she did come across a vehicle belonging to the Miners.
She immediately drove to intercept it.
Seeing the flag of The Black Wolves, the Miners immediately stopped.
They were surprised to find only a young woman inside.
"Take me to Black Skull," Aurora Sinclair said coldly.
"Huh?" The Miners were dumbfounded. The young woman had already opened their door and climbed inside.
The mercenaries in the back seat, seemingly intimidated by the murderous aura on her face, unconsciously scooted away from her.
When Liel Hunter heard that a female mercenary from The Black Wolves had arrived, his eyes lit up, and he immediately had his men bring her to their stronghold.
And so, the SUV from The Black Wolves was left abandoned in the mining district.
***
The Miners’ stronghold was in a different direction from the Black Wolf Stronghold, though it was also situated on an oasis.
When Liel Hunter saw Aurora Sinclair, he grinned. "Well, young lady, have you finally decided to come over to my side?"
Aurora Sinclair glanced at the unfamiliar surroundings and shook her head. "I’m looking for Black Skull."
Liel Hunter paused, his eyes gleaming with interest. "And why are you looking for him?"
"To fight."
Once Liel Hunter finally pieced everything together, he was secretly overjoyed. Their Mine Number Seven was close to the Black Skull Stronghold, leading to frequent skirmishes. Black Skull had recently caused him to suffer heavy losses, an insult he couldn’t just let slide.
"I can take you, but they have strength in numbers. Plus, they have the Eastern Highlanders with them. You’re not guaranteed a win." 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
Aurora Sinclair pressed her lips together, saying nothing.
Liel Hunter produced a hand-drawn map and pointed to a few areas. "I have a score to settle with them, too. We can work together. You handle the Eastern Highlanders, and we’ll handle Black Skull’s men. What do you say?"
Aurora Sinclair considered it for a moment, then nodded.
"When?"
"How about in two days?"
Aurora Sinclair’s eyes darkened. "Now," she said in a frigid tone.
Liel Hunter rubbed his nose, looking a little sheepish. "We just took a hit a couple of days ago. Our ammunition stocks are low, and a new shipment of weapons is still en route..."
"We don’t need them."
"Hmm?"
"We’ll use Black Skull’s."
On a moonless, windy night, to Liel Hunter’s astonishment, Aurora Sinclair infiltrated a small outpost belonging to Black Skull. She cleanly and efficiently eliminated the sentries in the outer watchtower in under five minutes.
Her fluid, deadly skill made Liel Hunter’s blood boil with excitement. He was so thrilled he wished he could poach her from Black right then and there.
’He’d do anything to make her stay, even offer himself to her!’

「Elsewhere」
Alvin Morgan finally woke up.
"Sir... How are you feeling?" Aiden Morgan rushed to his side, his face etched with worry.
His eyes were so bloodshot that his stare was a little unsettling.
Alvin Morgan moved his head, still dizzy, his voice raspy. "Where’s Aurora?"
"She... she went back to the stronghold." Aiden Morgan froze for a second before replying, his expression perfectly calm and his heartbeat steady.
The haze in Alvin Morgan’s eyes instantly vanished. He turned to stare at Aiden for a long moment before his expression darkened. "Where is she?"
Under his Sir’s piercing gaze, Aiden Morgan forced himself to answer, "She really did go back to the stronghold."
"Give me my phone."
"The battery’s dead."
"My watch."
Aiden Morgan’s tall frame stiffened, then seemed to deflate. He mumbled, "She’s gone..."
Alvin Morgan’s gaze grew cold. He pressed his lips into a thin line and tried to push himself up, fighting through the pain.
"Sir, we’ve already sent people to find her. She probably went after Black Skull," Aiden Morgan said, rushing to support him, terrified he would tear his wound open.
Alvin Morgan frowned. "Get me the watch."
Aiden Morgan immediately pulled his Sir’s custom-made watch from his pocket.
He tapped the watch a few times. A beam of light shot out, projecting onto the hospital’s white wall.
A massive world map appeared, covered in small red dots, the majority of which were clustered within Veridia’s borders.
Aiden Morgan was inwardly stunned. ’I had no idea the Sir’s watch was this incredible.’
Alvin Morgan tapped the watch again, and the map zoomed in on Masovia. There were five red dots in total. One, far from their current position, was clearly Aurora Sinclair.
"That’s very close to the Oasis Pirates’ territory," Aiden Morgan noted, his familiarity with the region evident.
"Help me out of bed."
"Sir, you can’t be discharged."
"Help me!" Alvin Morgan had already ripped the IV needle from his hand.
Aiden Morgan’s head throbbed. His Sir was always headstrong; if he tried to stop him, he’d probably just find a way to sneak out anyway.
He had no choice but to crouch down. "Sir, I’ll carry you."

Liel Hunter looked at the haul of weapons and burst out laughing. "We’ve hit the jackpot..."
"Is it enough?" Aurora Sinclair asked.
Liel Hunter schooled his features and shook his head. "Not enough. Black Skull’s men are a pack of violent thugs. They’re vicious, and their Combat Power is extremely high..."
Aurora Sinclair pressed her lips together. "Then we’ll find more."
And so, with a super-powered fighter on their side, the Miners went on a spree, looting the armories in several of Black Skull’s territories and reaping a massive haul...
"Boss, bad news! The Miners just hit several of our outposts. They have a female merc with ridiculously high Combat Power..."
Lying on a sickbed, Black Skull felt a fresh throb of pain at the news.
’A female merc with ridiculously high Combat Power?’
’It couldn’t be that little bitch from The Black Wolves, could it?’
’That one punch nearly took me out.’
"Where are the Eastern Highlanders?"
"They’ve already left."
"Damn it! It has to be The Black Wolves. Go inform the Lord of the Eastern Highlands."
Madness filled Black Skull’s eyes, and a cruel smile stretched his thick lips.
’The Martial Queen...’
’Then she can just stay here forever!’
