Chapter 184: Chapter 178: Are You Always This Overbearing?

In the infirmary, Leigh Miles was carefully bandaging Faye Hughes.

"Master Rory, it’ll be a shame if this little sister of yours doesn’t grow up to be a doctor," Faye Hughes said with a smile.

After her injury, Master Rory had his brother come give her a check-up. She couldn’t refuse a teammate’s kindness, even though the hospital doctors had already seen her. Then his brother wrote her a bunch of prescriptions and assigned this little lady to apply her medicine.

At first, she was skeptical, but out of respect for Boss Lockwood, she let the young lady apply the medicine. To her surprise, the swelling in her wrist went down in just over ten days. This made the team doctor exclaim in disbelief, telling her to cooperate fully, as she might be able to return to the arena ahead of schedule.

She would remember this kindness from Master Rory.

"This is bad! The vice-captain is getting wrecked by an international exchange student..." As the three of them were chatting, a trainee suddenly burst in from outside, shouting in a panic.

"Who?"

Leigh Miles glanced back at Aurora Sinclair. "It couldn’t be that foreigner we met at the entrance, could it?"

"Let’s go take a look—"

Faye Hughes leaped off the medical bed and rushed outside after the trainee.

The atmosphere in the training room was tense.

Joanna Monroe, her face ashen, said through clenched teeth, "Again..."

But Elias Lennox just shook his head. "I’m a gentleman. I would never embarrass a lady twice."

"You..."

Gideon Lockwood was shocked. ’This trainee’s skill is on par with Master Rory’s.’

Normally, an assassin’s favorite PK tactic is stealth assassination, but Elias Lennox’s King of Night didn’t go invisible once during the entire match. Instead, he confronted Joanna’s Poison Master head-on, just like a Boxer.

At that moment, everyone was thinking the same thing: ’This assassin is insane!’

To everyone’s surprise, he dodged most of Joanna’s attacks using only basic Body Technique Skills, closed the distance between them, and then unleashed a string of assassin combos that instantly wiped out her health bar.

"Joanna—which little brat is bullying you?" Faye Hughes charged in, rolling up her sleeves.

But after seeing Elias Lennox’s face, she fell quiet and gave him a strange look, feeling that he looked vaguely familiar.

"Wait a minute... Aren’t you the Rookie of the Year from last year’s Crestland qualifiers?"

Faye Hughes’s eyes lit up. As a professional player, she loved gathering intel on teams from various countries. She would stay up all night to watch the annual qualifiers from each region, and last year, she had happened to see a video of one of Elias Lennox’s matches.

She had even shared a picture of his handsome face with her roommate back then. She never imagined that a year later, he would actually turn up in Veridia.

Faye Hughes’s words made the expressions of the trainees in the room turn a little strange.

The relationship between Crestland and Veridia was rather complex. As former rival nations, their strengths were constantly being compared by others. Although peace had been restored and their relations were now reasonably friendly, the scars of past wars could not be so easily papered over.

"Master Rory, come on, let’s PK."

Elias Lennox turned to look. When he saw Aurora Sinclair, his smile grew even brighter. "I haven’t fought a Boxer yet!"

Joanna Monroe immediately gave her seat to Aurora Sinclair.

Boxer versus assassin.

Once the match started, neither held back, charging directly at each other.

Fists and feet flew as they quickly began to fight. The DAF members watched the two screens with rapt attention, holding their breath.

The longer they watched, the brighter their eyes shone. These two classes, widely regarded as the most useless in Veridia, were now engaged in a neck-and-neck PK under the control of these two players.

After their fifth clash, both retreated a few steps. They were evenly matched; neither could get the upper hand.

Both of their health bars had dropped a little.

Leigh Miles watched the assassin’s moves on the screen, her brow gradually furrowing. ’Why are his moves so similar to Senior Sister’s?’

Over an hour later, both of their health bars hit zero simultaneously. It was a draw.

Aurora Sinclair looked up at him in surprise. ’He’s very strong, and his moves are almost identical to mine.’

Gideon Lockwood suppressed his inner shock and broke the tense silence. "Mr. Lockwood has booked a private room for us to welcome our new member. Everyone go pack up. We’ll meet in the first-floor lobby in ten minutes."

Leigh Miles quickly pulled Aurora Sinclair into her private lounge. "Senior Sister, did you notice how similar his moves are to yours?"

Aurora Sinclair nodded. "He must know the Radiant Void Fist."

"If that’s true, then we can’t let him stay—"

A glint of killing intent flashed in Leigh Miles’s eyes. The Radiant Void Fist was the signature technique of The Radiant Void Sect; an outsider absolutely could not be allowed to possess it.

That afternoon, Elias Lennox went back to his hotel to get his luggage.

Meanwhile, back at DAF, Aurora Sinclair received a message from Beta Morgan.

[Beta: This guy’s skills are incredible. He’s already shaken us off.]

Aurora Sinclair’s gaze darkened. She pressed her lips together, closed her phone, and walked out, hands in her pockets.

Elsewhere, Elias Lennox was breathing a little unsteadily, a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. ’Veridia is full of interesting people.’

Just as he dragged his luggage to the main entrance of DAF, he saw Aurora Sinclair sitting on a chair by the gate, waiting for him.

The security guard at the gate was nowhere to be seen.

"Master Rory? Why are you sitting here?"

Aurora Sinclair slowly raised her head, her gaze calm as she looked into his eyes. "Who taught you that Fist Technique?"

"Huh? What Fist Technique?"

Before the words even left his mouth, a small fist appeared in front of his face.

The smile on Elias Lennox’s face froze. He took two steps back. "What is the meaning of this?"

But Aurora Sinclair gave him no chance. This time, she didn’t hold back, striking swiftly at his abdomen. Elias Lennox dropped his luggage and sidestepped the blow.

The two quickly began to fight in the empty street, but soon, Elias Lennox was clutching his shoulder as he stumbled back seven or eight steps.

"Who taught you that Fist Technique?"

Elias Lennox looked at her for a moment, then the smile on his lips suddenly widened. "My uncle."

"What’s his name?"

"Henry Lennox."

Aurora Sinclair froze. The Power radiating from her instantly subsided. She looked at him in confusion. "First Senior Uncle?"

Henry Lennox was Master Aerion’s eldest senior brother, Horace Miles. He had left the mountain to return to secular life shortly after Master Aerion became the Sect Leader.

Elias Lennox rubbed his shoulder. "Junior Sister, you pack quite a punch, don’t you?"

But Aurora Sinclair kept her fists clenched as she stared at him. "Those outside the direct lineage are forbidden from practicing the Radiant Void Fist!"

Elias Lennox’s smile froze. He said in a low voice, "My uncle never taught me. I just... secretly learned the basics on my own..."

Aurora Sinclair thought for a moment. "I will ask my master. If he doesn’t approve, then those skills of yours cannot be allowed to remain!"

As she finished speaking, her fist suddenly opened into a palm and struck his Qi Sea. A domineering wave of Power directly sealed his Dantian.

"...COUGH..." Elias Lennox instantly spat out a mouthful of blood and collapsed to his knees, his face pale as he propped himself up with his hands.

Aurora Sinclair glanced at him and said dispassionately, "If there are no issues, I will naturally undo the seal for you." 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺

Elias Lennox’s vision went black, and he collapsed to the ground, unconscious.

When he woke up, he was lying in the DAF infirmary.

"You’re awake?"

When Elias Lennox got a clear look at the girl beside his bed, his gaze sharpened. "Where is she?"

"In the training room."

"You people..."

Leigh Miles propped her chin on her hand and blinked innocently. "You shouldn’t move. This is the Golden Needle Acupoint technique. If a needle gets displaced, you’ll be crippled for life."

A flash of anger crossed Elias Lennox’s light blue eyes.

"Don’t be angry. My master said it’s nothing serious. I’m treating your internal injuries right now. I guarantee you’ll be back on your feet in no time..."

"Are you people always this tyrannical?" Elias Lennox muttered in discontent.

Leigh Miles shot him a sidelong glance and said coolly, "In ancient times, someone who stole techniques would have had their martial arts crippled completely."

Then she stuck another needle into his Energy Sea Acupoint.

Elias Lennox sucked in a sharp breath. Then, the domineering Power inside his body seemed to flow out of him through the needle.

’But damn, these needles hurt!’

After some time, the Power within his body began to flow smoothly again. His face lit up, and he looked at Leigh Miles in amazement. "Did you learn these medical skills from Martial Uncle, too?"

Leigh Miles put away the needles. Instead of answering, she asked, "How did you find your way here?"

"Jared Miles told me."

"Our Eldest Senior Brother? You two are in regular contact?" Leigh Miles froze, studying him in surprise.

A flicker of amusement crossed Elias Lennox’s eyes. "He was worried about you all, so he sent an unemployed bum like me to keep an eye on you."

Leigh Miles, suddenly feeling guilty, quickly pulled out all the needles from his body. Her attitude became much more solicitous. "Senior Brother, are you hungry? Let me take you to get something to eat!"
