My Werewolf System-Chapter 1310: Let’s Go

Having split off from Gary, Midwak and the other two were running over to the Garden as fast as possible. Knowing that Lupus could be there, it was big trouble.

However, if he was there, Midwak believed that they were much better off turning the other way. He wanted to, even as they were getting close, he could feel the sheer amount of power from a distance.

All of them could even feel the rumbles that were taking place. That's when something occurred to him, there was a high chance that if the fighting was continuing, somebody was fighting against him.

'Who could be powerful enough to go against Lupus, when he's using this much power?'

There was something else that kept Midwak on the right path as well. It was his promise to Gary. The way Gary was, he wasn't the type of person to break a promise. If that was the case, Midwak didn't want to take advantage of him, he would do the same, he would stay loyal, and staying loyal to him meant helping out the Howlers any way he could. ƒгeewebnovёl.com

The group had arrived at the mess of the scene. The carpark was a shadow of its former self. Cracks running almost a kilometre across it, large parts of the concrete floor lifted up and just lying on different parts of the floor.

Then they had met up with the others.

"It seems you kept your part of the deal, Midwak," Kai said. "But…where's Gary?"

"We ran into some trouble," Midwak answered. "Gary decided to stay behind to clear the trouble, so we could get to you guys first. It's good though that you are all alive."

It was strange for the Howlers to hear Midwak saying these words, and honestly, it didn't feel pleasant hearing him say them either.

In the middle of their conversation, the whole area shook again. They looked to their right to see a burst of energy emitting and a building collapsing in the middle of it.

"If Gary is dealing with something, he shouldn't be long. I think since we are all here now, our best situation is to get out of here," Kai suggested.

"Wait, what?" Trixie asked as she walked over, still in pain. "What do you mean leave, do you mean leave the city?"

"Edvard did say that we should go," another hunter added. "He said that the Altered hunters no longer exist, and we should go and do as Edvard says."

"How can you say that!" Joy shouted. "When he's fighting with his life on the line! We need to help him in some way, he might still need us."

Seeing as the hunters were discussing amongst themselves, Kai went over to grab Austin. He was hurt, but he was the strongest out of them all. Innu and Blake both appeared to be exhausted.

"Blake, are you going to come with us? We need to get out of here," Kai asked.

Blake was unsure about it all. He hadn't heard Edvard talk about the disbanding, and his father was still in the city, but then where could he go? If they were heading back to Slough, that was where his home was.

He looked in the distance at the fight that was taking place and decided to take a step toward them until Joy stood in his way.

"What is going on? Why are you even with them, Blake? You shouldn't be listening to what they say!"

"Joy," Blake answered. "There are things…that you don't know. This isn't even a fight against the Altered…and too many people have already died. If you want to help Edvard and give up your life for him, then do that, but I don't want to drop any more of my family's blood."

Joy felt defeated as she put her arms down and let him go, and she looked at large swirling red energy hitting Lupus, right back down to the ground. It crashed and shook the entire area again.

"Please!" Joy shouted. "I don't know what it is, but I have a bad feeling about all of this. Right now, it looks like Edvard is winning the fight, thanks to that armour he put on, but I just have a feeling at any moment Edvard could be on the back foot.

"We…we…we are too weak to help him. Which is why I'm asking all of you to stay. To do something just in case…there's a chance to take out Lupus now, and we can't let it go to waste! We can't let Cooper's death go to waste," Joy said, falling to her knees.

Although Luzen had escaped, she couldn't let Lupus escape as well, but she was powerless.

"We came here to do one thing and one thing only," Kai answered. "It was to make sure that the package was delivered. The package that contains that armour that has given Edvard a fighting chance.

"We risked our lives already to deliver that package. If Edvard fails, then we will die as well. We already did our part of the mission, we are not part of the Altered hunters!" Kai answered. "And it's as you said, you guys can't do anything.

"And to be honest, I'm not even sure if we could do something. Look at all of us! Look at how far we have all already pushed ourselves in this fight, we have already reached our limit.

"If you ask me…there's only one person that might be able to do something."

"Gary…Gary Dem?" Trixie said with a raised eyebrow.

"That's right…Gary." Kai was confused, and when he turned around, he could see Gary had arrived.
