My Vampire Wives Want My Blood!-Chapter 47- A Hug
Chapter 47- A Hug
"Now, if you will excuse me. See you tomorrow, Elio." After shaking Melissa’s hand for a few seconds, she gave Elio a nod and walked away. The latter watched her leave with a baffled expression. He didn’t even understand what was happening anymore.
After she completely left, Melissa turned to Elio with a smile. "Let’s get inside~"
"..."
"Why do you look surprised, Elio? Is everything ok? Did she train you too hard?" Melissa asked.
"You... What the hell was that?" He asked with a deep frown on his face. "Why did you come out?"
"Ehh, I was worried about you~"
"Melissa," Elio said her name with an angry tone.
"Ok, ok, I just wanted to have a bit of fun. I saw you two coming here, and I wanted to finally meet that Vaylor girl. I have never really talked to her before."
"And why would you want to do that? What if she suspected you?" Elio asked.
"Don’t worry, cutie~ Nobody would be able to recognize me in this entire world if I wanted that. It is really fine."
"..."
"But that girl is certainly something. She has quite the sharp eye, and she seemed to not like me whatsoever."
"Why?"
"I don’t know, but that look she gave me, haha. She definitely didn’t enjoy my presence." Melissa said with a mysterious smile. ’Hm, what a cunning girl. Even if she doesn’t know it, her instincts are very sharp for someone her age.
"I don’t even know what’s going on anymore." Elio rubbed his hair. "You two are not normal."
"And who said we are, pretty boy? You’re talking to the queen of vampires and the daughter of the strongest clan of Vampire Hunters." Melissa giggled.
"That’s what I don’t understand! How I’m somehow connected to both of you!"
"Well, you are the child of prophecy with the strongest talent this world has ever seen. You aren’t that different from us."
"... I guess you have a point."
’I honestly can’t be bothered to think about it anymore. How I got into all of this is just a fantasy all on its own.’ With that, Elio turned around and walked inside, followed by Melissa.
"So, why were you late? Did that girl kill you with training?"
"Mmmm, yes, I worked really hard today. But, there was also an incident."
"Hm?"
"I found a vampire in school, and I killed it." He said without looking back. However, Melissa didn’t reply for a few seconds, so he stopped and turned around. The woman was standing there, looking stunned.
"You... killed one?" She asked.
"Yeah, he was attacking a student, and I couldn’t think of another way but to lure him out, and with some luck, I was able to kill it."
"... So that’s why your aura feels a bit stronger... You have absorbed its blood, didn’t you?" She asked, blinking quickly.
"Yeah..."
’Shit, I forgot that it’s one of her people. Is she mad at me? She must be really upset that I did that.’ For a second, Elio felt really worried about what Melissa would say.
"Elio."
The boy flinched, hearing his name being uttered. Then, he saw the woman approach him and stop merely a few inches away. He felt a chill run down his spine, expecting her to yell or do something worse.
But, surprisingly, he felt her warm hand touch his cheek as she directed his eyes to look at her. That was when he noticed... She had a worried look.
"Are you ok, my sweet boy?! Did you get injured anywhere? Did you get hurt?" She asked in a hurry.
"Huh?"
"Did they hurt you?" She asked as she started touching his body everywhere, checking for any injuries. When she noticed that he was fine, she finally exhaled a breath of relief. "That scared me! I thought you got hurt! I’m so glad you’re fine!"
"..."
"That was so dangerous, Elio. You shouldn’t do that so recklessly. You aren’t ready to fight yet."
"Y-You aren’t mad?" He asked as he snapped out of his daze.
"Mad? Why?"
"That... I killed a vampire?"
"Why would I be? As I said, Elio, you’re the most important person to me. I don’t care about other vampires. They have long left my grace."
Slowly, she rubbed her thumb against Elio’s face with a beautiful smile on her face. "My Elio is what matters to me. You are what the world is to me."
Her words were sweet, soft, and soothing to the soul. Even Elio, who was tense the entire time, finally relaxed as he rested his head against her chest.
Melissa was surprised by his gesture. This was the very first time Elio willingly went into her arms, and it made her heart flutter wildly. But, she didn’t move or react on the surface so he didn’t get scared and push himself away
"I’m sorry... And thank you... I was terrified, but I didn’t hesitate for a second." He muttered.
"You were so brave, Elio." She whispered in his ear. "You were the bravest." 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
Slowly, her arms wrapped around him into a very tight hug. The two stood there, in the dark, not talking and simply enjoying the moment. Melissa’s soft body and warmth made all the bad feelings vanish. She had simply sucked all the exhaustion out of his body.
For a long time, the two hugged each other. A moment, while normal on the surface, carried a completely different meaning for the duo.
A moment that will shape their future in ways they could never expect. Yet, for that simple moment, it was what it was... a hug.

"I’m so exhausted."
Throwing himself on the bed, Elio stared at the ceiling with a dazed look. After their long hug, he finally walked into his apartment and took a well-needed shower. He felt refreshed and warm, and the sleepiness started hitting in. However, before sleeping, Elio decided to do something.
"I want to check my current status sheet." He muttered. "I haven’t checked it ever since I got it. It must’ve changed a lot in the past two days."
Elio thought that he had gained a good bit of points from training and killing the vampire, but he didn’t know how his strength looked right now.
So, with a simple thought, he activated his rune, and the sheet appeared before his eyes instantly.

"Oh my days..." Elio muttered.
The stats looked nothing like before. Everything except for intelligence and blood energy has increased by leaps and bounds. He was now above average in everything. That idea alone was mind-blowing. He didn’t even know how to take it. Merely two days were enough for him to become an above-average human by every metric.
"If you told me two days ago that I would be like this now... I would think you’re a drunkard." Elio muttered.
Yet, somehow, reality seemed to have reshaped itself completely for him.
Elio... was reborn.
