My Ultimate OP System: Summoning All Dragons, Gods, Heroes & Villains-Chapter 59: The King’s Beast Class Summon
She continued, "Which is why there’s barely any of them even in the western continent as a whole."
The western continent she had mentioned was, in fact, the same continent they were in.
Ethan then said "You seem to know a lot about dragons."
She nodded. "Yeah."
He then asked, "Have you ever seen one?"
She paused, then said, "Yes. But just once in my life."
"When?" He looked curious
Then Isabella said with some pride in her voice, "The day my father called his Beast-Class Dragon Summon."
Ethan’s eyes widened insanely.
Isabella noticed his shock and laughed. "Yeah. They only teach at the Academy that King Tudor is a High Invoker. They never mention what his summon is."
When teaching the history of the country Gritnia to the first-year students of Belsorth, the tutors would always mention how the Tudor line came to be King.
And they never failed to mention how powerful Isabella’s father was.
King Carson Tudor, the most powerful human of the human race in the country, who had reawakened as a summoner and gained High Invoker status.
Ethan finally spoke. "Can I ask one thing, though?"
She nodded.
"How did your father get his hands on a catalyst for a beast-class summon?" He was genuinely curious.
Isabella chuckled. "That’s so much history to get into. But to simply answer you, it was passed down from the ones before him."
Ethan just nodded without stressing further. It was only just now that he understood how powerful the King truly was.
Isabella then teased, "Don’t get your knickers in a twist. Aren’t you a caster? Why worry about summon stuff?"
Ethan smiled and shook his head. "Oh, this isn’t worry. I’m simply amazed."
Catalysts were items strongly connected to the summon spirit. These items were either personal belongings or even personal body parts of these spirits from when they were alive.
In a way, summoners were basically bringing people who used to exist back from the dead. Because by possessing these catalysts, you could call them back.
Although, of course, there was still the typical talent level requirement. In addition to that, however, there was also the summoner’s compatibility with the catalyst.
For one may have the right talent level but not the compatibility to have the spirit answer. This was one of the complexities of the summoner class.
Ethan then said, "Come with me," and took a gentle hold of Isabella’s hand.
She followed amusingly without asking where they were going as he guided her toward the door.
——
A few hours later, within the well-lit basement under the manor...
"Show me again," Isabella called out with her arms crossed as she watched him from a corner in the room.
Ethan took a breath, centered himself, then called out the spell. "Ars Levitas."
A purple magic circle appeared beneath his feet for a split second before fading. And suddenly, Ethan rose into the air.
He hovered smoothly as drifted around the basement with ease, before returning to float directly in front of Isabella.
There was that grin on his face.
Isabella nodded approvingly, with an impressed look on her face. "Good. Now come back down."
Ethan floated gently back to the ground, "see? Told you I know the spell already."
Isabella shook her head and said, "I’m both jealous and impressed. Ars Levitas is a space element spell, and it took me a whole day to grasp despite my high talent level. Yet you perfectly cast it after just two hours."
Ethan had an amused, proud expression on his face. Then he said eagerly, "I’m ready for another."
Isabella smiled but shook her head. "Maybe next time, but I’ve got to go."
Ethan suddenly made a face. "Huh?"
She nodded. "But you should be proud. You just learned a spell that’s only taught to members of the King’s household and some members of the Imperial Guard."
Ethan’s frown wasn’t even letting up. "Come on, we only just started."
"I’d love to stay," she said, in a tone that sounded genuinely apologetic. "But today’s the last day of the weekend, and my friends Marcus and Rennie are coming over."
She raised her Arcphone forward, showing him the screen. On it were several unanswered calls from her brother Rayleigh.
"That’s my brother, Ray. I left without telling him this morning. Judging by the number of calls I haven’t answered, he probably has a few more tries left before he decides to scour the entire city."
Ethan sighed and shook his head.
She stepped closer and placed a hand gently on his cheek. "I only came by to know how you were doing, especially since your text yesterday sounded ominous. But it looks like you’ve got it handled."
Ethan smiled and nodded. "Yeah."
With that, they eventually made their way back up to the living room.
Ethan stopped just before the doorway and pulled her into a hug. She wrapped her arms around him, and as they held each other, she leaned in close and whispered into his ear, "You gave me a wonderful first time."
Ethan smiled, half feeling proud with himself.
They pulled back from the embrace and nodded at each other in quiet acknowledgment.
Ethan then noticed the bracelet on her wrist and said, "I don’t remember ever seeing you without this bracelet"
"I’ll you all about it next time" she said, winked and turned toward the rest of the household standing off to the side.
Francesca, Valerie, and Eduardo were all watching from a respectful distance.
She waved at them kindly and they waved back, with smiles on their faces.
Isabella turned and walked toward the entrance. Eduardo followed right behind her.
Outside, her driver was already waiting beside the car that had brought her.
Isabella stepped toward it, but before getting in, she turned back and said to Eduardo "I hope you guys catch that terrible man"
Eduardo smiled then bowed his head slightly. "Safe return, Your Highness."
She smiled, nodded in acknowledgment, then climbed into the car.
Ethan stood off to the side, away from the door where he couldn’t be seen from outside, and watched as the car started and slowly pulled away from the manor.
Right then, he exhaled contently
