My Ultimate OP System: Summoning All Dragons, Gods, Heroes & Villains-Chapter 108: A Sudden Excalation
A girl beside him stood up as well, her face flushed with anger. "He’s right! this is shit! We saw most of you Belsorth people exchanging money. That’s collusion!"
She was being a hypocrite cause even she had at some point done the same.
"Collusion?" A Belsorth student scoffed and turned around with a mocking grin on his face. "Y’all are just butthurt ’cause we won most of the items"
Several other Belsorth students laughed, and the tension in the air thickened as the final-year students from both schools began rising to their feet one by one.
"Students, please," Miss Hana started, raising both hands in an attempt to restore order.
"Everyone calm down," Mr. Kieran added, taking a step forward. "This is not..."
Oren, another Mallory werewolf and Danice’s boyfriend, wasn’t listening. He pointed straight at Ethan. "And who the fuck is this loser? How did he have that much?"
Ethan sighed and shook his head. There was no need to take the bait or react to something beneath him.
Percival’s head turned toward Oren instantly. He had this dangerous look in his eyes as he stood up from his seat.
"Watch your mouth," Percival growled in a threatening tone.
Oren took a step forward, baring his teeth. "Or what?"
In that moment, Wilson Heydrich appeared between them in a blur of motion, moving so fast that most people didn’t even register he had moved until his hand was already wrapped around Oren’s throat.
The werewolf’s eyes went wide as Wilson’s crimson gaze locked onto his.
"Sit. Down. Mutt," Wilson said coldly. Right then, his compulsion took effect.
The werewolf’s body went rigid for a split second before his legs gave out. He dropped back into his seat like a puppet, unable to move or speak.
Every pair of eyes widened at the sudden display, and right then another Mallory werewolf shot to his feet. There was fury blazing in his eyes as he lunged toward Wilson.
"Get your hands off him, you bloodsucking...!"
Wilson stepped to the side, moving out of the wolf’s way as he let the charging werewolf stumble past him.
But Percival was already moving, closing the distance in a quick dash.
"Wait!" Aliyah called out.
That was too late as he had already appeared in the werewolf’s path, with fist drawn back. Before the Mallory student could recover his balance, Percival’s punch drove straight into his jaw.
The impact sent the werewolf flying backward, and crashing into a row of chairs that had been abandoned in that moment by their occupants, scattering them across the ground with a horrible clatter.
"Enough!" Kieran shouted, stepping forward with his hand raised as a glow began forming around his ring.
Hana moved at the same time, placing her hand on the hilt of her sword. "All of you stand down right now...!"
But then Dante’s voice whispered from across the canopy.
"Bierzim."
The temperature dropped instantly.
A wave of pure malevolent energy washed over the entire camp like a freezing wind, and every single person present felt it deep in their bones.
Ethan’s spine went rigid as an overwhelming sense of danger crashed into him. He turned around just in time to see it.
The summon was nearly eight feet tall, with bluish gray skin stretched over a muscular frame. Six arms extended from its torso, each one ending in clawed hands. It held a spear in one of its right hands, and two curved horns jutted from its head, framing a face that was monstrous, with glowing red eyes.
It roared to announce its presence, creating a shockwave that tore through the canopy like a hurricane.
The roof ripped apart and flew off into the air as chairs were flung backward. Students scrambled to shield themselves from the blast of wind and debris that came crashing down around them.
Dante had his hands in his pockets and a menacing smile on his face. This was exactly what he wanted.
This ruckus had given him the perfect excuse to test his summon’s strength against the other kid everyone had been whispering about, the one who supposedly also had a Legendary-class summon.
Dante’s entire existence revolved around one thing; becoming the strongest and crushing anyone who stood in his way.
And right now, to his deranged mind, Ethan Stark was standing in that path.
"Call your summon," Dante said, glaring directly at Mr. Stark.
Ethan stared up at the towering demon spirit summon, and in that moment he was about to call on Nina, just in case this summon randomly attacked him or the shaking Bettie by his side.
But that was when both teachers appeared between them in a blur of motion.
Mr. Kieran stood directly in front of Ethan with his right hand raised forward as a glowing blue magic circle materialized before it.
"Don’t act, Ethan!" Kieran commanded.
Ethan’s face looked genuinely confused as he stared at his teacher. "Is something wrong with your sense of direction, Mr. Kieran?" Ethan said. "You should be pointing at the other guy, not me!"
On the opposite side, Miss Hana had her sword drawn and pointed directly at Dante’s chest. Her expression was stern as she stared at him.
Dante looked down at her with an expressionless face. "Move aside," he said flatly.
Hana held her sword steady. "That’s enough from you, Dante. Or shall I call your house?"
Dante stared at her for a moment without saying anything. Then finally, he muttered, "Hmmm," before his lips curled into the faintest hint of a smirk. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎
Bierzim, the demonic spirit summon, then dissolved into reddish motes of light as its summoner turned on his heel without another word. Dante’s hands still in his pockets as he walked away from the scene.
The tension in the air began to ease slightly as some students started picking themselves up off the ground.
"What the fuck was that guy on?" Percival said, walking closer to Ethan as Kieran had moved away.
Ethan sighed and shook his head in disappointment.
By sundown, the entire atmosphere at camp had gone completely sour.
Students from both schools had retreated to their respective sides of the clearing, keeping as much distance between themselves as possible. No one was talking across the divide anymore.
