Chapter 735: Extra Story of the Big BOSS’s Little Wife (3)

Ye Anhao actually wanted to throw the medicine box at the man’s face but eventually gave up. Now, there were only the two of them in the suite, and the man in front of her was clearly not simple. If she annoyed him, it might be herself who would suffer. It was best for her to leave here as soon as possible and rid herself of this man.

Ouyang Che noticed the anger and reluctance on Ye Anhao’s face as she left. The man just assumed that she was greedy and embarrassed at not achieving her goal. After all, there were many women who wanted to steal his seed and marry into the Ouyang family for their own status through childbirth.

And the woman in front of him, although she had a pure and harmless face, her intentions might not be as innocent. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have deliberately approached him.

Ouyang Che snapped out of his thoughts and gracefully changed his clothes. Just as he was about to leave, Mrs. Ouyang’s call came through.

As usual, she began to complain bitterly while crying, and the topic of her grievances was always about his unruly and arrogant younger brother.

In the past, Mrs. Ouyang would also complain to him, but she wouldn’t cry because his mother believed that crying too much would make a woman old and ugly. This time, her crying signified that his brother had really angered the Empress Dowager.

Ouyang Che listened silently, pressing his thin lips together impatiently. He didn’t need to guess; he already knew this situation was tricky. The Empress Dowager couldn’t handle it, so she called him with the simple request to help resolve the matter.

He had dealt with such issues many times before.

However, this matter surprised him somewhat. He didn’t expect his frivolous, womanizing brother to one day fall out with the family over a woman.

"Your brother is really hopeless. He used to switch women one after another, but this time he fell in love with a divorcee. If it were just a divorcee, it might be tolerable, but that woman even used to work in a questionable place. What could have gone wrong in your brother’s mind to fall for such a woman? I confronted him about it, and he snapped back, saying he’s determined to be with her for the rest of his life. How infuriating! His foolishness is killing me."

Mrs. Ouyang took a deep breath, trying to calm down before she continued, "Your brother has always listened to you the most. Go talk some sense into him and make him break up with that inappropriate woman. We, the Ouyang family, will never allow such a woman into our home!"

"He probably won’t listen to me this time."

Ouyang Che knew his brother well. If he was willing to split from the family over a woman, it meant he couldn’t do without her. Given this, mere words wouldn’t change his mind.

"Then what should we do?" Mrs. Ouyang cried even more fiercely, fuming, "There’s absolutely no way I’ll allow your brother to marry that woman. It’s either her or me, but never both!"

"There is a way." Ouyang Che hesitated briefly before saying, "We can target the woman directly."

In Ouyang Che’s view, Ouyang Hao’s temper was hot. Forcing him to give up the woman using strong tactics might backfire, not achieving the goal and disrupting family harmony instead. But targeting the woman was different; she was an outsider, and dealing with her was much simpler without any concern.

Upon hearing her eldest son’s plan, Mrs. Ouyang’s heart was finally at ease. Her son, though not very talkative and inheriting their father’s traits, was incredibly dependable in his actions. If he said there was a way, there definitely was one.

With this thought, her mood improved considerably, and she started to worry about her eldest son’s personal matters.

"My son, you’re not getting any younger. It’s time to find someone to date."

Ouyang Che’s eyes darkened, "Let’s talk about this later. I’m very busy right now."

"Busy again. Seems like you never take a break."

Ouyang Che impatiently furrowed his brow, "I have something to attend to. I’ll hang up now."

Without waiting for Mrs. Ouyang’s reaction, he hung up the phone.

Ouyang Che rubbed his brow tiredly. This wasn’t the first time she brought up this issue. Every time, he pushed it aside using "being busy" as an excuse. But given the Empress Dowager’s tenacious nature, this excuse might not hold for long.

In reality, Ouyang Che wasn’t afraid of Mrs. Ouyang or worried about political marriages since his current status meant even the patriarch couldn’t control him.

Simply put, Ouyang Che had little interest in women. Keeping a woman around was no different from inviting trouble. They already had his mother, the biggest trouble, and he had no need for another. Saying he was busy wasn’t just an excuse to evade Mrs. Ouyang but a truth — he indeed was very busy.

For him, wasting time on women was the least worthwhile. However, it was ironic that last night he spent the night with a woman for the first time. He initially planned to send her to the hospital. But on the way there, she was restless, making advances on him.

He was a normal man, and maybe because of the medication, she was extremely passionate. In a moment of impulse, he changed his mind. Since she was offering herself, why pretend to be a gentleman?

Ouyang Che laughed at himself. Maybe, as his childhood friend said, he had been celibate for too long, giving that woman the chance.

His gaze paused on the glaring red stains on the bed for a few seconds, a ripple of emotion flashing in his eyes before returning to calm.

He lifted his lips in a mocking smile. He didn’t believe a scheming woman who actively crawled into his bed would be innocent. Hence, her act was thoroughly prepared.

After leaving the hotel, Ouyang Che didn’t stay in E City but flew straight to T City. Given his mother’s orders, he couldn’t ignore Ouyang Hao’s situation. From his perspective, he didn’t think a woman with such a complicated background was suitable for Ouyang Hao.

Before taking action, he had someone investigate Lin Yixun thoroughly and quickly found a point of leverage. As the saying goes, "Hit where it hurts"; to deal with Lin Yixun, he had to hit her vulnerable spot — her imprisoned father.

After getting hold of Lin Yixun’s father’s weakness, he used the most direct approach to meet the woman. Things went smoother than expected; with just a few words, she was defeated. Though she didn’t immediately agree to his demands, the desperate look in her eyes told him this problem was solved.

When Lin Yixun asked, "Have you ever loved anyone?" Ouyang Che felt it was laughable. People can die without air, but can live perfectly well without love.

In this world, love is the most insignificant thing.
