My Superstar Wife Is So Popular-Chapter 807 - 805: Spirited and Transparent
Wen Shu’s dressing room was located further inside. She absentmindedly pushed the door open and walked in, just as someone inside was coming out with coffee, and they bumped into each other.
The coffee splashed onto Wen Shu’s gown, leaving visible stains.
"I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry, I didn’t know someone was outside."
The one holding the coffee was a girl with short hair, wearing a work badge around her neck. She was probably a student from a nearby school working part-time.
Wen Shu looked at the dark stains on her black gown and frowned: "Can’t you watch where you’re going? Now how am I supposed to attend the red carpet and ceremony later?"
"I’m really sorry, I didn’t do it on purpose."
There was a hint of crying in the girl’s voice. She never expected anyone to be outside. She put down the coffee in her hand, hurriedly digging out tissues from her bag to help Wen Shu wipe it off, but before she could touch her dress, Wen Shu pushed her hand away.
"No need, just stay away from me."
Another actress in the dressing room couldn’t help but stand up for the girl: "Can’t you just go to the bathroom and tidy it up? If it really doesn’t work out, the organizers have prepared some dresses, just pick one when the time comes. There’s no need to make it difficult for the staff."
Wen Shu closed her eyes briefly, her expression turning cold: "Easy for you to say. You’re not the one with coffee spilled all over."
After speaking, she turned around and left the dressing room, walking in the opposite direction.
The actress choked, muttering under her breath: "Why is she like this..."
Wen Shu spent quite a while in the bathroom cleaning the stains off her dress. Annoyed, she tossed the tissues into the trash can and exhaled heavily.
The closer it got to the start of the ceremony, the more agitated Wen Shu felt inside.
She pushed open a stall door and stepped inside.
After a while, she finished flushing and was about to leave when she suddenly heard someone outside mention her name.
"Wen Shu, yeah, I know her. Wasn’t she the lead in that recently aired drama, ’Ju Lian’?"
"It’s her? I didn’t even realize when you said it. That drama really butchered the original work."
"Yeah, her. I followed a few episodes of that drama too. Honestly, I didn’t see anything impressive. Rumor has it that the original female lead for ’Ju Lian’ wasn’t her, it was supposed to be Huasong, a more experienced actress, but for some reason, she got replaced right before filming."
"Now that you mention it, I remember something else. Didn’t she just snag that endorsement with D recently? My friend works at D, and the actress they originally chose was Wen Qiao, they were about to sign the contract, but somehow it got snatched away."
"You must be mistaken. Wen Qiao has the endorsement with ES. There’s no way she’d be interested in D’s endorsement; these two aren’t even on the same level."
"Speaking of Wen Qiao, I think she must have backing from someone. All the big endorsements, high-production dramas, popular variety shows, she gets them all. Plus, I think Wen Shu and Wen Qiao look a bit alike; it’s just their paths are vastly different. Maybe Wen Qiao is just destined to succeed."
"But I think Wen Qiao is prettier. I just saw her; her skin is fair and soft, her waist is so thin that I feel like my arm is thicker than her waist. She’s truly the archetype of a stunning beauty."
"Really? I’ll go take a look later."
"Really, did you finish your makeup? Hurry up."
"I’m done, let’s go."
"....."
It wasn’t until the footsteps outside faded away completely that Wen Shu flushed the toilet and pushed the stall door open to leave.
