My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!-Chapter 479: Shouldn’t You Call Me Something Different Now?
Row after row swept past her eyes, some were framed with glass on the wall, some hung in the room, others quietly stayed on the partition wall. These ordinary things were now decorated like pieces of art...
The long dining table near the window was covered with red rose petals, the fragrance of Fraelance’s red wine lingered in the air.
Melody Thorne’s heart began to throb, at first slowly, but then faster and faster, almost leaping out of her chest.
Taking a few steps forward, her hand touched the gifts she had bought for Jared Quinn years ago. "Why did you bring these here?"
"I bought this place," Jared Quinn wrapped his arms around her, turned her body, his dark eyes glistening with a sincere and alluring light, speaking slowly, "These are the things you gave me. I will keep them well; this place will store these things from now on."
Every item she gave him, he cherished them like treasures and preserved them.
Melody Thorne was a bit moved, never expecting Jared Quinn to go through the trouble of setting all this up here, those things she had thrown into the trash can before.
"Only the things I gave you, and not anything from you to me, wouldn’t that be a loss for me?" She pretended to pout in discontent, crossing her arms and turning away from him.
Jared Quinn’s dark phoenix eyes at this moment seemed to have thousands of brilliant stars twinkling within, dazzling. It was as though he had been waiting for her to say just this, as he pulled her to the dining table by the glass window, pressed a button on the table, and the center area surrounded by bouquets slowly elevated.
On the raised platform, a box lay open glowing brightly, the brilliance was glaring, with diamonds shining in the shape of stars.
It was a ring.
Melody Thorne’s gaze fixed on that ring, and then on the man beside her, waiting for his explanation of what this meant.
"Silly," Jared Quinn’s lips barely parted as he uttered one word lightly. He ruffled her jet-black hair, walked to the dining table, took the ring, leaned against the table, and after a few seconds of looking intently at her, he pulled her small hand.
The ring was slowly slid onto her finger, he took a very slow process to give her time to think and react.
What he wanted was for her to put it on willingly, not by his coercion.
The perfectly fitting size gleamed on her slender, fair fingers, complementing Melody Thorne’s current expression.
"Jared Quinn..." She wanted to say something.
Jared Quinn interrupted her a step ahead, his gaze intense, "Shouldn’t you change what you call me? Hmm? Wife..."
Melody Thorne "..."
Outside was the sound of waves crashing against the rocks, inside the room was silent...
Melody Thorne occasionally bit her lower lip with her pearly teeth, hearing what seemed like a phantasm in her ear... 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
She had waited a long time for this moment.
"Mhmm..." Her gaze wandered, especially with the man in front of her looking at her so openly, with an intense possessiveness.
Jared Quinn’s large hand still held her fingers, bowed his head, and kissed her delicate, white fingers.
"Shouldn’t you change what you call me?"
Calling him by his name was indeed her privilege, only she dared to call him that, but if there could be a more intimate address, it would be even better.
