My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!-Chapter 408: Trying to Take Her Away
"Jared Quinn, I’m fine, it’s just a friend coming by for a chat," Melody Thorne jogged over, placing her hands on the man’s firm chest to stop him from continuing onward.
"Friend? Chat?" Jared Quinn lowered his head, grabbing her arm with a large hand and pulled her into the lounge. "I should get to know this friend of yours too." 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
Was there any friend of hers that he wasn’t aware of? He knew exactly who she was in contact with!
Stella Seymour was standing inside the room. When her eyes caught sight of the man walking in, she couldn’t help but take a step back, but the noble bloodline and pride of the Seymour Family did not allow her to retreat.
"Aren’t you going to introduce us?" Jared Quinn released Melody Thorne’s arm, his dark eyes flashing with a sharp glint.
"Why don’t we head back first? I’m a bit confused myself," Melody Thorne said in a conflicted tone.
"Mr. Quinn is here too?" Another person stepped into the hotel suite.
Caleb.
"Why are you here too?" Melody Thorne’s tone was a bit hostile; she still remembered Caleb’s tricks that had led Jared Quinn to misunderstand her.
"Miss," Caleb entered the room with a respectful tone, his gaze briefly sweeping past Stella Seymour.
Melody Thorne "..."
"Alright, since everyone’s here, I might as well clear things up," Stella Seymour leaned against the window, deciding to take advantage of everyone’s presence to explain, since the matter had already been revealed by her.
"Her, the woman you’re holding now," Stella Seymour pointed in Melody Thorne’s direction, "she is the eldest daughter of our Seymour Family from Crestfall. We’re under Grandpa’s orders to find her and take her back immediately. So, she might not be fortunate enough to become your Mrs. Quinn."
With each word Stella Seymour uttered, Jared Quinn’s deep, enchanting face turned a shade colder, especially when he heard the last part—she might not be fortunate enough to become your Mrs. Quinn!
"Do you think you can just take her away?" Jared Quinn sneered arrogantly, "You better see if you have the skills for that first!"
"Why are you so sure that I’m from the Seymour Family?" Melody Thorne asked suspiciously.
She had only recently learned that she wasn’t a child of the Thorne Family; for the past many years, she had believed she was a Thorne.
How could they know without any evidence?
"You’ll have to ask him," Stella Seymour nodded toward Caleb, speaking with disdain, "he was the first to discover your identity, and your looks already say it all. There’s no need for further proof."
Melody Thorne touched her face, noticing that she and Stella Seymour bore at least a fifty percent resemblance—a similarity striking enough.
"How are you connected to the Seymour Family? Aren’t you the Adler Family’s heir?" Melody Thorne asked in confusion.
In her past life, her memories lasted only until Caleb was killed by the Adler Family. Previously, he had been a fool the whole time. Even though he had recovered in this life, the Seymour Family is in Crestfall—how did they connect?
"It was an accident; I was saved by Mr. Seymour. I promised him I’d help find his granddaughter and later, when I saw you, I figured it was likely you," Caleb explained.
He honestly did have a mental problem; he wasn’t pretending to be a fool, but eventually, he recovered.
