My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!-Chapter 365: Aren’t You Going to Read It?
What does Simon mean by that? When did she want Jared to stay far away from him?
Suddenly, Melody remembered meeting Caleb yesterday afternoon, and she might have said something like that, but she was just angry at the time and spoke without thinking.
Did Caleb record it? And send it to Jared?
Melody was furious, wishing she could strangle Caleb.
Is this why Jared rushed over there so quickly?
Melody took a deep breath. If she had another chance, she would definitely avoid Caleb, what is he trying to do?
Her fingers moved slightly, and she sent a message to Jared, wanting to deny everything,
[I never said I hate you or want you far away. If I did, it was in the past. These days, you’ve been kind to me, and I don’t think that way anymore. I’ve suddenly realized you’re the pillar of the Quinn family. If you leave, Timmy and I might get bullied.]
After sending it, Melody held her phone, waiting for Jared’s reply. Although she had never coaxed a man before, someone as angry as Jared should be easy to placate, right?
On the plane.
Leon Rivers was in a dazed state. They had agreed to leave for Zetania a week later, but they were leaving earlier now. Leaving earlier was fine, but the man in front of him was growing increasingly furious.
Who angered him?
The important thing was that his phone rang countless times, yet he kept staring at it without answering.
Leon curiously peeked over, and a message had just come through, and the note above...
"Pfft," Leon spat out his water. Sweet darling... Melody darling.
Holy crap, he had never seen such a cheesy name before. It was so sickly sweet that the fact it appeared on the man’s phone in front of him was almost unimaginable.
A few drops of water splashed onto Jared’s phone, especially on the recently received message. His handsome face darkened, and he angrily glanced sideways at Leon as if wielding a knife aimed at Leon’s neck.
"It’s not... it wasn’t intentional," Leon chuckled dryly, already using a napkin to wipe off the water.
Jared’s gaze returned to the message from Melody, but he didn’t immediately read it. He thought to himself that she had really infuriated him. If she disliked him so much and wanted to stay away, now that he’s leaving the country, doesn’t that give her the perfect chance to escape?
"Leon, aren’t you going to read it?" Leon leaned over again, "If you don’t want to, maybe I could read it for you?"
He was really curious about what that fiery woman would write.
Jared’s gaze swept over, full of warnings.
Leon twitched slightly at the corner of his eyes. What did he mean by not saying a word from start to finish?
"Jared, if you really don’t want to read it, you could just toss the phone away. I bet that woman wouldn’t say anything nice."
Jared "..."
Leon seemed to hit the nail on the head. Who knows what that little woman might blurt out, maybe just hoping he leaves far away.
The cabin temperature began to drop, and Jared’s fingers never opened the message.
He couldn’t let a woman dictate his mood and decisions.
