"How is it? Can you walk?"

"I can, it’s nothing."

"Then wait for me here for a moment, I’ll be right back." Kiki Sutton let go of Melody Thorne and quickly ran upstairs.

Meanwhile, those people had already taken Ashton Young away.

Melody Thorne stood there; even though she lied to Kiki, it was for her own good.

"Madam," Simon Sutton suddenly stood behind Melody Thorne.

"Why are you here?" Melody Thorne frowned slightly.

"Jared is waiting for you outside," Simon Sutton said respectfully and cautiously reminded her, "I think you should speak carefully according to Jared’s mood later?"

"Why should I care about his mood?" Melody Thorne turned and walked outside, saying as she walked, "Did he take the wrong medicine?"

Simon Sutton replied, "You’ll know once you get there."

"Melody, Melody," Kiki Sutton hurriedly ran down from upstairs. Ashton Young was already gone.

"Miss Sutton," Simon Sutton stopped her, looking rather displeased. "I suggest Miss Sutton check what just happened, including the headline news, before looking for the young madam."

"What news?" Kiki rummaged through her belongings and couldn’t find her phone. She took Simon Sutton’s phone.

She saw the headline news suggesting Melody Thorne was trying to climb the ladder in the entertainment industry by standing in front of Ashton Young’s dressing room, allegedly using unsavory means, while Ashton Young was only wearing underwear.

"What’s going on?" Kiki’s expression changed drastically.

The room in the photo was the same dressing room just now, but Ashton Young was no longer there.

"Jared is already angry, and the reason is because of you, Miss Sutton. I suggest you investigate why you were locked in the washroom, and why the young madam found herself in Ashton Young’s dressing room," Simon Sutton advised.

Kiki looked at the news, bewildered. She had already suspected foul play when she was locked in the washroom, but she hadn’t expected someone to lure Melody Thorne there and end up in Ashton Young’s room. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞

Who could it be? Kiki scanned the surroundings and finally saw Luna Lancaster in the crowd.

"It must be her," Kiki was about to confront her when Simon Sutton held her back. "Miss Sutton, don’t act recklessly. Cooling down will lead to better handling."

Kiki glared in Luna Lancaster’s direction but couldn’t do anything to her. She had been too careless, forgetting that Luna was in the same company and a rival of Melody Thorne, using her to frame Melody.

"Where’s Melody? I’ll go check on her," she feared Jared Quinn’s wrath over the incident.

"Don’t worry, Miss Sutton. Go handle your own issues. Jared knows what he’s doing."

"Can’t you just move aside?"

Simon Sutton answered, "I... cannot."

Melody Thorne walked in front of the car without getting in but instead opened the car door. A chilling aura seemed to emanate from inside, fleeing as she opened the door.

The driver, who was almost frozen to death in the car, shivered and felt much warmer as Melody Thorne’s actions let all the cold air rush out.

Impressive, who knew this was possible.

Jared Quinn turned his head, his eyes fixed on Melody Thorne, his crimson lips pressed into a straight line.

Melody Thorne leaned against the car door without rushing to get in, and looked at the man before her, speaking each word deliberately, "Can you put your anger aside and listen to my explanation? Although I don’t have much to explain, I can still explain if you’re willing to listen."
