My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!-Chapter 306: Likes Reserved Women
"Jared, we’re heading out," Harold Chapman said,
He had already spent enough time bringing Leon Rivers out today, and they had come through the secret path in the company. If they were discovered after too long, it wouldn’t be good.
"Go ahead."
Leon Rivers and Harold Chapman walked out of the room, and Leon even deliberately closed the office door behind them.
"Aren’t you afraid Jared will extend your confinement as revenge?" Harold remarked, noticing his actions.
"Afraid or not, won’t I still have to go back with you and be locked up?" Leon huffed.
As Leon shut the door, only she and Jared Quinn were left in the office. Sheryl Lancaster couldn’t help thinking too much. She walked to Jared Quinn’s desk, intending to flirt with him like before.
"Miss Lancaster," Jared Quinn closed the document in his hand, lifting his deep, dark eyes, in which Sheryl’s attempt to seduce him was reflected.
"Hmm?" Sheryl Lancaster’s voice dropped, low, soft, and alluring.
It was rare for Jared to look at her directly, his slender fingers loosening his tie, his noble yet lazy movements exuding an irresistible charm.
Moreover, standing opposite him was a woman with intimate thoughts about him. Sheryl Lancaster licked her somewhat dry lips, staring at him obsessively.
"Do you know what kind of woman can truly capture a man’s heart?"
"What kind of woman?" Sheryl Lancaster instinctively asked.
"A reserved woman."
Sheryl Lancaster "..."
What does this mean? Is Jared Quinn telling her he likes reserved women? But Melody Thorne is clearly the bold type!
Does he not like Melody Thorne?
In an instant, Sheryl Lancaster’s mind had raced through countless thoughts.
"Yes," Sheryl Lancaster said with a shy smile, occasionally stealing glances at the man opposite her, "As long as it’s the type Mr. Jared likes, I’ll do my best to become it."
She was willing to change into any form, as long as it pleased him.
Jared Quinn stood up, evidently out of patience, especially since the woman before him was so pretentious. "That’s it for today, time to go home."
"Mr. Jared?" Sheryl Lancaster was slightly taken aback, as this man had been discussing what kind of woman men like with her just a moment ago, and now he was telling her to leave.
"Go home and rest early," Jared Quinn turned his gaze slightly, cutting off whatever Sheryl was about to say.
Of course, Sheryl Lancaster wasn’t willing to leave just like that, but since Jared Quinn’s attitude toward her had just shifted, she didn’t want to make it worse.
Or was it that Jared’s earlier words were meant to tell her he indeed liked reserved women?
"Alright, Mr. Jared, you rest early too," Sheryl Lancaster shifted instantly to a particularly demure demeanor.
Jared Quinn strode out of the office.
By the time Sheryl Lancaster left the company, Jared Quinn’s car had long disappeared.
A car was parked not far away; it was Caleb’s car. By now, almost everyone knew about their relationship and knew that Sheryl Lancaster had not only captured Jared Quinn’s heart but also Caleb’s.
There was nothing to hide in this triangle.
Sheryl Lancaster tossed her hair, walked to Caleb’s car, opened the passenger door, and got in.
"Was Mr. Caleb satisfied with today’s events?" Sheryl Lancaster adjusted the rearview mirror in front, slowly applying lipstick from her bag, with a smug curve at the corner of her mouth.
