My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!-Chapter 299: The Most Tempting Move
Outside the Thorne Family’s house, in the car, the man’s faintly pale face carried a chill. "I helped her, but how could she ever see clearly? Everything she cares about is not hers. She sees only the surface; the Thorne Family isn’t hers, and she’ll gradually realize the Quinn Family isn’t either..."
You can only leave without hesitation once you’ve seen things clearly.
"Yes, yes, Mr. Caleb, you’re right."
"Tell Sheryl Lancaster to hold him off for me. I don’t want to see any movement from Jared Quinn’s side within two hours."
The only one who can save the person is him, and the only one who can solve the matter is him.
"Yes."
Quinn Group.
The office was filled with a calming fragrance, Sheryl Lancaster smiled as she organized the items on Jared Quinn’s desk, intentionally making her movements the most alluring as she adjusted each object.
Jared Quinn had personally sent someone to invite her over and arranged for her to work here.
From now on, she would appear in front of him punctually every day.
Whether it was the information from Ivy or Caleb’s role, she was now by this man’s side.
While Melody Thorne...
A defeated opponent!
In front of the luxurious and opulent desk, the distinguished man was flipping through the documents that needed signatures, occasionally casting a sidelong glance at the phone on the desk.
From last night until now, the phone hadn’t rung once; surely, Melody Thorne had seen today’s news?
Could she really remain so calm?
"Brother Jared, should I call Miss Thorne now? I’m afraid she might misunderstand something when she sees those news," Sheryl Lancaster walked closer, attempting to take Jared Quinn’s phone, observing the expression on the man’s face.
Just as she reached for it, Jared Quinn picked up the phone, his dark eyes exuding a deep and cold light. He spoke slowly and deliberately, "Miss Lancaster, do you think this matter requires an explanation? Whether I touched you or not, you should know better than anyone, right?"
Sheryl Lancaster tried hard to maintain her composure, "Of course, I know. At that time, between me and Mr. Quinn, it was just a contractual relationship and not that kind of relationship. Mr. Quinn never touched me."
Despite all her schemes, she hadn’t successfully enticed him.
"As long as you understand." Jared Quinn looked down and continued flipping through the documents.
She had been here for a whole day, and Jared Quinn hadn’t said what he wanted her to do. He simply left her in his office. Could she not understand what he wanted?
Even the matter mentioned at The Lancaster Family’s press conference, he hadn’t brought it up.
Not bothering to disclose or mention it, he just let her make assumptions.
Sheryl Lancaster received a text message on her phone, instructing her to figure out a way to delay Jared Quinn by two hours.
"President, the meeting is about to start," Simon Sutton walked in.
Jared Quinn closed the document in his hand and got up to head to the meeting room.
"Miss Lancaster, no need to follow, just stay here in the office and wait," Simon Sutton stepped forward and blocked Sheryl Lancaster.
"Why can you go, but I can’t?" Sheryl Lancaster protested unwillingly.
Jared Quinn turned his head, his deep voice still devoid of warmth but softer than before, "Stay here and wait. Let them bring you some coffee you like and do whatever you enjoy."
Sheryl Lancaster was momentarily stunned; this was the most Jared Quinn had ever said to her at once. In the past, he wouldn’t even speak a word to her for days, but now he told her to do what she likes.
