Chapter 263: Chapter 263: Are You Satisfied Now?

"Timmy, go up and sleep," Jared Quinn grasped Melody Thorne’s wrist and spoke to his son.

"Alright," Timmy said, looking back every few steps as he went upstairs.

When Jared Quinn got serious, even Timmy didn’t dare to resist.

"What are you doing?" Melody Thorne turned her head, her eyes clear and emotionless, as if nothing had just happened.

"Sorry," Jared Quinn gazed at her, pulling her closer, wrapping his arms around her and holding her tight.

He didn’t know those things were meant for him.

"I don’t understand what you’re saying," Melody Thorne looked up, pushing him away. "I’m tired now, I just want to have a good sleep."

"Melody Thorne," Jared Quinn held her back, "we agreed to start over."

Melody Thorne turned her head, a careless smile on her lips, "Oh, that was a few days ago, right? Sorry, now it’s all fed to the dogs, and indeed, those things you mentioned were all for Hans Montrose, all for him. I threw everything away, are you satisfied?"

"No," Jared Quinn held her, "Melody Thorne, this time I’ll owe you, you can vent however you like, alright? I know those things were meant for me, all for me."

"Did Kiki Sutton tell you?" Melody Thorne chuckled, "She lied to you."

She turned and went upstairs; she had so many things to do tomorrow, managing her company, filming her drama — no time to waste on doubts.

"Sir, perhaps, you should change clothes first? The young lady might calm down in a few days," the butler suggested.

Jared Quinn walked out without a word, opened the trunk, revealing it full of gifts.

"Sir, shall I help you carry these?" the butler immediately ran over with an umbrella.

"No need," Jared Quinn declined coldly.

Melody Thorne slept in Timmy’s room, sleeping well enough until the butler came knocking. With Timmy by her side, she slept soundly.

Noises came from the stairs; Jared Quinn looked up to see the pair, one big and one small, brimming with energy – clearly, they had slept well.

They were even in matching family outfits: warm yellow with a little monkey on the chest, a bit childish, wearing white sneakers.

Jared Quinn’s face was somewhat gloomy, dark circles under his deep, piercing eyes indicating he hadn’t slept a wink last night.

"Ma’am, young master, you’re up, come, come, have breakfast," the butler said cheerfully, winking at Melody Thorne, signaling her to look at Jared Quinn.

But Melody Thorne didn’t glance at Jared Quinn, sitting down to focus on her meal, occasionally picking food for Timmy.

The butler "..."

Jared Quinn’s eyes were fixed on the one big and one small across from him.

"Sir, the tie you’re wearing today looks truly handsome," the butler coughed slightly, "was it a gift for you? Just look at this color, this brand, it suits you so well."

Melody Thorne had bought a blue striped tie, elegantly aloof with a touch of bold charisma, not too dull, matching Jared Quinn perfectly.

The butler said so much, yet still received no response.

"Sir, I think the fabric of your shirt today is particularly fine, the size fits perfectly – clearly, the person who gifted it put a lot of thought into it," the butler continued to try.

Across from him, not a head was raised.
