Chapter 207: Chapter 207: Shy and Tender

Days like this have never been experienced before; it feels like living in a dream.

"Mr. Quinn, your phone," Simon Sutton standing behind the man reminded him.

After the events of last night, Jared Quinn had no mind for meetings; his head was filled with thoughts of the cunning yet unusually gentle woman from home—last night, her beauty nearly made him unable to look away, far surpassing that one time he had with her.

She could be shy, gentle, and particularly alluring.

Just thinking of her, Jared Quinn felt a bit hot and tugged at his tie; that little enchantress really had skills.

"Mr. Quinn?" Simon Sutton coughed lightly and reminded him again.

Jared Quinn lazily leaned against the leather chair and, upon hearing Simon Sutton’s awkward reminder, turned slightly with his hand supporting his chin, his eyes cold as ice.

Simon Sutton: "...your hand, the phone."

Jared Quinn’s gaze fell on his phone, seeing a message from an unremarked number, whose last four digits resembled his own—he knew who it was because he once blocked it.

[I’m waiting for you in The Imperial Sky Hotel suite, room number 1609].

Jared Quinn squinted, his deep dark eyes staring at the message repeatedly, looking at the sending number again and again.

The number was correct, the content of the message...

All sounds in the meeting room fell silent, everyone dared not glance at the man seated up at the head, the atmosphere turning stifling.

"Mr. Quinn?" Simon Sutton had to speak again.

"Meeting adjourned," Jared Quinn pocketed the phone, rose, and strode out of the meeting room.

The people in the meeting room thought something major had occurred; otherwise, the president wouldn’t change his demeanor so easily, or perhaps a small company or someone was about to face misfortune.

Simon Sutton noticed something was wrong and immediately followed.

In the office, the man leaned against the leather chair, holding his phone, his expression enigmatic, neither cold nor warm.

"Simon," Jared Quinn spoke.

"Mr. Quinn?"

"Go investigate..." Jared Quinn spoke halfway, then reversed his decision, pocketing the phone again, "Leave."

Simon Sutton: "...Yes."

With the office door closing, Jared Quinn made a call, connected just before hanging, a sweet soft voice answered, "Hello."

"Did you book a room? Imperial Sky Hotel 1609?"

"Yes..."

Jared Quinn hung up, stared at the phone number for a long time, moved his fingers, paused midway, then noted it as "little enchantress."

"Here’s the key, where’s the address?" Melody Thorne threw the key to the hotel suite at Ivy.

"Couldn’t imagine before you were so obsessed with Jared Quinn, and now you easily discard him," Ivy sneered taking the key, "The address is with a man at a small shop on Aethelgard Road, find him, and he will give it to you."

She certainly wouldn’t give Melody Thorne the address so easily, nor let her return easily to interrupt her good fortune.

Ivy turned into the room, pulled out an unknown potion and sprayed it inside the room, its effect easily lulled people into a coma. After everything was arranged, she removed her clothes, entered the bathroom, deliberately pouring many drugs inducing that sensation into the tub.

The appointed time was nine o’clock, and Jared Quinn arrived punctually outside the hotel, getting out of the car, causing a stir as he took the key heading straight for the hotel suite.
