My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!-Chapter 192: She Can Never Leave the Quinn Family
Her most beloved treasure, she came back to life all for him.
Melody Thorne’s voice was soft and gentle, sweet and tender, making Timothy Lockwood seriously doubt whether the woman who just spoke expressionlessly to Jared Quinn was really Melody Thorne.
He looked at Jared Quinn with sympathy for three seconds.
"Really?" Timmy wrapped his arms around Melody Thorne’s neck and said seriously, "I know my dad isn’t good, he’s got a big temper, so if you can’t take it anymore and want to leave, remember to take me with you..."
"Pfft," Timothy and Dr. Mo couldn’t help but burst out laughing at the same time.
It felt like a couple about to part, and Jared Quinn was the one being abandoned.
"Okay, sure, don’t worry, I’ll definitely take Timmy with me," Melody Thorne lifted her blanket and let Timmy lie down with her.
Jared Quinn watched as his wife and son openly discussed leaving, the veins on his forehead pulsing. Melody Thorne gave all her gentleness and care to Timmy, remaining expressionless towards him.
And dreaming of him being bad to Melody Thorne, making her want to leave, what the hell was that about?
"You two, come here," Jared Quinn’s cold and stern features were darkened.
Dr. Mo and Timothy followed Jared Quinn out of the ward.
When they returned, Melody Thorne and Timmy had already finished eating. They sat on the hospital bed playing Hunter, Bear, and Gun, laughing loudly from time to time; the winner could make a request.
The childish game that a toddler of three would play, Timmy had already stopped playing when he was two, yet now he played happily with Melody Thorne.
"My last request is still that wherever you go, you must bring me with you," Timmy, feeling insecure, feared she would leave, so he repeated it over and over again.
"Alright, alright," Melody Thorne tapped Timmy’s little head with her finger.
When Jared Quinn walked in, he saw that scene, but it stung his heart. He had a feeling that sooner or later he would be abandoned by them. He strode over, lifted Timmy from the hospital bed, and spoke in a mocking tone, "Rest assured, as long as I disagree, she can never leave the Quinn Family."
Melody Thorne sneered, turning away, hearing the meaning in his words.
"It’s no big deal if you agree or not, whether she leaves or not, she’ll always take me with her," Timmy responded smugly, "I’m not worried."
Jared Quinn "..."
"Alright then, let Dr. Mo take you back," Jared Quinn handed Timmy to Dr. Mo behind him.
"Why? Melody is here, and I don’t want to go back," Timmy complained, "You can go back yourself, I’ll keep her company."
"Yes, yes, you go back, Timmy will be with me," Melody Thorne raised both hands in agreement.
Jared Quinn’s eyes flashed sharply, "Shut up."
"Little Young Master, I recently got a high-end mechanical device imported from abroad. I’ll show it to you on the way," Dr. Mo coaxed.
Timmy thought about it, "Alright then."
Melody Thorne covered herself back in the blankets again. She knew Timmy wasn’t reliable. The ward was silent.
She stayed under the covers for a while, only hearing the sound of keyboard typing. Jared Quinn did nothing, yet she felt the atmosphere in the ward was particularly oppressive. Getting up, she pushed open the window.
The outside breeze blew in, fresh and comfortable,
but that comfortable feeling only lasted a second or two before the window was closed again, and she was placed back on the bed.
