My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!-Chapter 178: I Wouldn’t
Felix Chandler came in from outside and heard Ivy’s screaming from afar, feeling somewhat annoyed. However, he had been interested in Ivy for a long time. Although everything that should and shouldn’t be done was almost done, this woman didn’t know who she was saving herself for, still maintaining that line of defense.
If he had gotten her earlier, he certainly wouldn’t care about her now, but the allure of the unattainable is what makes it captivating.
"What’s wrong, baby?" Felix walked in, wrapping his arms around the woman’s waist from behind, pressing closely together ambiguously.
"Felix, you lied to me," Ivy shouted excitedly. "That woman is perfectly fine, and now everyone thinks I’m dead, but nothing’s wrong with her at all."
Hugging her, Felix revealed his ultimate goal, speaking with a hinting tone, "You should know, I’m a businessman, and a businessman doesn’t make losing deals. Moreover, now Melody Thorne has Jared Quinn protecting her, so even if I wanted to take action against that woman, there’s nothing I can do, right?"
Ivy gritted her teeth, glaring ahead. How could she not know what Felix wanted? She had been using him all along without letting him have her, so how could he willingly help her?
George Adler had gone to find Jared Quinn, but Jared’s attitude was clear about wanting to protect Melody Thorne. Even the past incident by the pool, he only gave The Adler Family a check.
No, no, no, it wasn’t that, it was Melody Thorne. It must be her who told Jared the truth about the pool, revealing to him that she was the girl who entered his pool that year.
She completely had no bargaining chips left.
"As long as you help me get rid of her, I’ll agree to anything," Ivy spoke darkly, "No, you bring her to me, let me personally get rid of her to feel relieved."
She wanted to personally get rid of her, to watch her disappear from Jared’s side.
Felix had been waiting for these words from her, his big hand restlessly slipped under her clothes, "Alright, as long as you satisfy me, I’ll give even my life."
Ivy shut her eyes tightly, reaching out to stop him, "Come find me after things are done."
Felix immediately released her, his expression changed, "Do you think I’m stupid? Once that woman is gone, you’ll rush to Jared, won’t there be no chance for me?"
"I won’t..."
"Undress!" Felix spoke disdainfully, "You should know The Adler Family has fallen, and your new play is about to flop. The only one you can rely on now is me."
Ivy’s hand trembled uncontrollably; she had no way out. Melody Thorne had already pushed her to a dead end.
Felix watched as she took off her dress, embracing her onto the big bed, "If you had been obedient earlier, things would have been much easier."
Sounds of low voices and exclamations emerged from the room. Felix never expected that despite the many men around Ivy, he was actually the first to pluck her.
...
Quinn Villa.
Melody Thorne made salt and pepper crispy shrimp, steamed pork, sweet and sour pork—all of Timmy’s favorites. She served the last dish, and took the English book from Timmy’s hands, picking him up, "Such a difficult book can wait to be read later. Let’s eat first."
"Hmm... okay," Timmy glanced at Jared Quinn’s study.
As long as his dad didn’t come out, everything was fine.
"Ding," Melody’s phone received a text message. It was from Kiki Sutton.
[Melody, be careful these days. Ivy is desperate and might do something unpredictable.]
