My Stubborn Soul Card Follower-Chapter 450 - 385: Tomb Robber
Just being placed there, it directly smashed into that seemingly powerful Bone Dragon, and even trapped an Undead Mage inside.
"Can I put it away?"
Alice tried, then discovered that she could actually put the Storage Box into her ring.
However, she could only store empty Treasure Boxes.
Alice’s eyes twinkled, and countless tactics already filled her mind.
"I know how you plan to use it," Shen Sui reminded her. He had used similar tactics in the game before, "Having some reserves is fine, but this tactic is very limited. It only works in specific terrains."
"What if I have enough Treasure Boxes?" Alice’s eyes sparkled.
"Then you need to have space to hold that many Treasure Boxes."
Shen Sui thought about it and decided that allowing Alice to have certain tactical reserves was a pretty good choice.
"What are you doing?" Isabella, entering the mine, saw Alice squatting next to Yusto’s remaining corpse.
"Looting the corpse." Alice wasn’t at all disgusted by the Undead Mage’s filth, she raised her hand and rummaged through Yusto’s body, eventually pulling out a bunch of Storage Rings, "Look! There must be great treasures inside."
"They have restrictions on them." Isabella took one over, casually removed the restriction using her power, "Alright, now you can open this, and the contents won’t self-destruct."
Alice was delighted as she opened one of the rings, and then she felt rather unwell.
It seemed Isabella had expected this as she gleefully asked, "What’s inside?"
"Corpses," Alice muttered with a pout in disgust.
Isabella chuckled and said, "Well, it’s an Undead Mage after all, isn’t that what their rings are for storing?"
"I thought Undead Mages would have a special space for storing undead creatures."
"Hey, that’s true, but it requires being a Thirteenth-tier Undead Mage." Isabella laughed and said, "Once they open their domain, it can become a space for storing undead creatures. Until then, they can only use various storage items to keep their undead creatures."
While they talked, Isabella had already led Alice into the depths.
Quickly passing through the simple tomb, the two headed deeper into the mine.
The mines of Twilight City, after years of mining, no longer have much value, but the sparking glow of Demon Crystals along the tunnels is still quite lovely.
Alice, who loved beautiful things, was momentarily lost gazing at the crystal glows along the way.
There were numerous corpses of dead Magical Beasts along the way, all creatures living underground, and from the wounds, it wasn’t hard to tell they were Yusto’s doing.
Yusto had cleared the mine in advance, which made Alice’s journey much simpler this time.
After walking for about ten minutes, the faint sound of water came from below.
"We’re almost there!" Alice, feeling a bit bored, perked up at the sound of water and quickened her pace.
After advancing for another ten minutes or so, a huge, beautiful lake appeared in front of them.
Isabella looked at the lake in amazement.
Although she had been here countless times, she always left after viewing Vivian and Claude’s tomb and never thought to explore the mine, particularly this deep.
Unexpectedly, such an ordinary mine held such beauty hidden in its depths.
Alice, after a brief admiration, snapped out of it and began to look around.
"Treasure Box... Treasure Box..."
Although deep underground, it wasn’t dark here.
The lingering Demon Crystals emitted a faint glow, lighting up the dark cave.
Alice soon found her destination at a corner by the lakeside.
"Over there!"
Alice quickly ran towards the location of the Treasure Box.
The ground around the Treasure Box bore traces of dragon breath burns, indicating Yusto had been here and tried to forcibly open the Treasure Box with the Bone Dragon’s power.
Unfortunately, this type of Treasure Box couldn’t be destroyed by brute force.
Alice rubbed her little hands together, took a deep breath, and quickly opened the Treasure Box.
Similar to the Treasure Box at the entrance, it contained many potions and ores that Shen Sui had obtained from the creatures in the mine.
Besides that, there were some fishing baits needed for fishing.
After aggressively replenishing her recovery potions, Alice finally found the tool Shen Sui mentioned could control Magical Beasts at the bottom of the Treasure Box.
[Beast God’s Treasures].
It was a very peculiar-looking ring.
As Alice acquired this item, Shen Sui also simultaneously unlocked the corresponding Life Card on his end.
As expected.
Shen Sui’s eyes sparkled with delight.
Not only did magic items from the game manifest similar abilities in reality, but even collectibles displayed abilities akin to their game description.
Now that’s impressive.
Many collectibles were designed to entice players to collect them, each boasting impressive flair.
"Hmm... So ugly."
Alice looked at the powerful item with disgust.
She absolutely refused to wear such a ring.
Oh right... I can give this ring to someone else.
To the Golden Ship or Hali...?
Alice hesitated again.
"We should probably leave now." Isabella calculated the time and reminded Alice.
Alice nodded, turned around, and prepared to leave.
But Shen Sui suddenly remembered something and quickly typed out a message, stopping Alice from leaving.
"Aren’t you interested in doing some fishing at such a beautiful lake?" Shen Sui tempted.
"Huh? Fishing?" Alice was taken aback.
"Yes, indeed." Shen Sui replied, "Fishing."
Shen Sui remembered that there was a Fish King in this mine cave lake.
Underground Fish King Amans.
You’re already here, why not catch one before leaving?
It’d be nice to refresh with a new Fish King’s Follower Card too.
