"Beat them?" Arthur frowned. "So that's your condition, old man?"

"Yes. Power isn't measured with words. It is measured with actions. Prove to me what you're capable of. My men have already told me that you're quite the dangerous enemy to fight, and it took their combined effort to take you down. I want to see it."

Arthur stared at Yonathan for a good moment, trying to read behind his intentions. He was certain that the man wasn't simply asking him to prove himself as Arthur's aura was more than enough of an indication of what he is capable of doing.

However, as he expected, it proved to be quite difficult to read that old man. He was akin to a vast sea of experience and wisdom. Trying to read him was akin to trying to simplify a large book with thousands of pages in one sentence.

"Understood," Arthur said. "So all I need is to defeat them, right?" He punched the palm of his hand.

"Good. Hesitating would've made you lose instantly. Hesitation is weakness." The old man said. Then, he turned to his people and spoke to them in their language.

His words seemed to strike shock into their minds. But, they quickly did what he ordered. They spread across the room, creating a huge space in the middle where Arthur and the two men stood face to face.

"Now. The rules are simple. No killing and no lethal injuries, but most importantly… No weapons."

"No weapons?" Arthur raised an eyebrow.

"The weapon is a man's biggest ally and yet also a man's biggest weakness when they rely on it too much. I want to see your individual strength with no weapon." The man said.

"... Tsk, ok, fine." Arthur sighed as he sheathed his sword and put it in his inventory. "You're satisfied now? Anything else?"

"No, that is good enough." The old man said. "Prepare yourself."

The two sides took their positions. The men didn't strike any fighting stance meanwhile, Arthur lifted his fists up ready to for the battle.

'I haven't had a proper fistfight in a very long time. This is going to be interesting. I need to keep track of their immense speed and crushing power. I can't defeat them in that, so I have to outsmart them instead.' He mused.

Looking at the two men, Arthur could feel from their auras that they were even stronger than the men he had fought beforehand. Their auras were deadly and cold, filled with underlying danger.

The only good thing about the situation was that there were only two of them and not several. He can at least deal with two individuals considerably better than many. But he knew that all he would have in that battle was a moment… An opportunity where he has the upper hand… If he can get that chance, he could have a chance at beating them.

"I shall be the one to determine when the battle is over. Get ready…" Yonathan said with a cold tone. Then, he slowly lifted his wooden cane from the ground.

*BANG*

A second later, he slammed it on the floor, sending an echoing wave of noises across the entire room.

"Begin!!"

Meanwhile, outside the Void. It had been several hours since Isla left the guild to find Arthur. Herculia, Emmy, and Danny arrived there and were surprised to see that both of their teammates were nowhere to be seen.

The message they received from Isla made them wait there for the two to come back. However, hours quickly passed, and there was no trace of them. They didn't reply to messages and couldn't be found on the map.

It naturally worried them that their friends were acting this way. Danny was on the verge of leaving to search for Isla countless times.

However, with several arguments, Danny was stopped. Herculia and Emmy couldn't let him disobey Isla and cause more trouble. If he goes and he also disappears, and then Isla and Arthur come back, then they would waste more and more time.

So, they agreed that if they didn't come back by a certain time, the group would go out to search for them. Time passed awfully slow for the team and the kids. Many possibilities passed through their heads, and each one was worse than the one before it.

Eventually, the clock approached the time they agreed on, and it was the middle of the night. Danny was ready to quickly pick himself up and rush out to find Isla.

At that very moment, and while they were on the verge of losing hope of seeing them. The door to the guild opened, and a person walked in. Immediately, everyone stood up.

"Isla!" Danny exclaimed when he saw his friend as he rushed toward her. "Where have you been? Are you ok? It took you so much ti-"

Before he could even finish the sentence, Isla closed the door behind her and turned to face Danny. The moment his eyes landed on hers, all thoughts vanished from Danny's mind as if they had never been there in the first place.

It was the first time in his life he had seen his friend with that expression on her face. Her usually cold, calculating eyes were disturbed and uncertain. Her expression was slightly pale, and her entire facial expression was twisted with deep worry and shock.

"Isla? What's wrong?!" Emmy was the first to react as she approached her friend and looked at her. "Did something happen?"

The girl didn't reply as she walked into the lounge and sat down on the chair before she arched her neck back and stared at the ceiling. Then, she said. "Arthur… I couldn't find Arthur."

"Huh?"

"What?"

"What do you mean you couldn't find him? Didn't he go inside the tower?" Herculia asked confusedly. "Did he not leave yet?"

"No… He didn't." Isla replied. "He is still in there… And I don't know where. I waited for hours, and he didn't appear."

The entire group stared at Isla with deep frowns on their faces. Seeing the look of loss in her eyes, they realized that the situation… was far worse than they expected.
