After waking up, Jake decided it was time to see what he got from the system as rewards for taking down a Beta werewolf.
"Now! Let’s see the rewards given to me by the system." Jake said as he opened up his system screen.
"System! Pull up my previous unread notifications." He called out.

"Level up? After so long." He smiled and then pulled up his system screen.

"Not only did I manage to level up twice, I also got +2 stats in all my attributes from leveling up. And a free stat point too!" He said excitedly.
"But too bad I wasn’t able to get any new skills along with them." He mumbled then he went back to the bed to sit down and think.
"So Blip was a Beta werewolf all along huh, if I hadn’t attacked him, we wouldn’t have known and he would have been crippling the humans down bit by bit. But what I don’t understand is why his son isn’t a werewolf too or isn’t he his son?" Jake wondered.
"I guess we won’t be able to find out now." He sighed.
"Aren’t you forgetting something?" Zee asked.
"And what’s that?" Jake asked.
"Your fight with Blip was broadcasted to the whole world, I’m pretty sure the Alpha werewolf would have seen the fight and aren’t you worried by how he would react?"
"Do you think I’m scared of him? Whoever the Alpha is, he can attack for all I care about but he wouldn’t be able to win I’m sure about that." Jake smiled.
"Did you forget what you went through against Blip? You almost lost your life twice? Let’s forget that Blip claimed to be the strongest Beta werewolf, you remember the Beta werewolf that attacked Aurora? You were so close to losing your life then and you think you could handle the Alpha if he attacks?"
"And did you forget that the Beta werewolf who attacked Aurora fell into a deep abyss with that King tier beast?" Jake said.
"How sure are you that he is dead? What if it is still alive?" Zee asked.
"Did you see that abyss? It was so deep that I don’t think anything would survive a fall down there." Jake said.
"Except a werewolf. We all know how strong werewolves are and how thick their skins are." Zee clarified.
"It is still alive huh? Then why hasn’t it attacked Aurora again cause I feel like it has a personal vendetta with the academy." Jake asked.
"Probably still healing up or trying to stay low after that day. Besides, you aren’t afraid of the Alpha but you are forgetting that there are two Beta werewolves around it." Zee said.
"I know, and that’s why I’m trying to grow the strength of the Fang hunters and besides do you think I would attack on my own while the big three will just sit down and watch?"
"And are you relying on the big three? I thought you wanted to topple them from their position and deal with them." Zee said.
"Who said I want to rely on their strength? Why do you think I’m trying my possible best to grow the strength of my guild." Jake said as he stood up with a sigh to look out the window to see the hundreds of humans with the thank you card and some people walking around.
"With everything going on and annoying me, I feel like I’m the main character of a novel of some sort with everything revolving around me." Jake sighed.
"I will just implore you take things easy and think your decisions through before taking a step. Just imagine how you attacked the iron fist guild based on your feelings while taking your friends along, what if something had happened to them?" Zee asked.
"Point of correction, I didn’t decide to take them along, they volunteered to tag along." Jake replied.
"Whatever, I have already done my best in advising you. Everything is all on you now." Zee said and then he went quiet.
"He’s right, I need to get strong fast and also grow my guild’s strength along the way." He mumbled when the door was suddenly swung open.
"Jake! You are awake?!" Alex said with a surprised look on his face while his eyes became watery all of a sudden and he dashed towards Jake and gave him a tight hug.
"I thought you wouldn’t wake up again." He said.
"Haha! Even if death wants to take me away, I will fight against it so I can stay and complete my task." Jake laughed and Alex disengaged from the hug.
"How are you feeling?" Alex asked.
"Fit and fine." Jake replied.
"Oh! I almost forgot, although Peter told me you were awake, I didn’t believe so I came here to confirm. Anyway, a meeting has been called by General Paul to decide on what to do next." Alex said. "So are you feeling okay enough to attend?"
"Yeah sure, let’s go." Jake said and they swiftly left the room.
