Chapter 103: Chapter 98: Advancement! Classes

Inside the cave.

A strong figure protected by Frost Armor is rapidly advancing toward the interior.

Along the way, at least a dozen goblins wielding various weapons are stabbing, slashing, and shooting at Raine. Long-range attacks are still manageable, but in close combat, even a slight touch causes the attacking goblin to be instantly counteracted by the Frost Armor.

The arm holding the weapon freezes suddenly, and the lean body begins to tremble, but because this is inside the nest and there are many fellow goblins around.

So, even if frostbitten, these goblins continue to scream and chase the swiftly moving Raine.

Thus, Raine seems to transform into a locomotive, dragging a long trail of shivering goblins behind...

’Oh? There really is a Bear Goblin!’

Suddenly, Raine narrows his eyes slightly, looking at the hall inside the cave, which is also the most concentrated area for goblins.

Pans of iron are set on the bonfire, bubbling as if cooking something, while goblins sit around in distinct levels.

The outer circle is ordinary goblins, while the inner circle is goblin warriors wearing leather armor. At the very center is a creature that can be called a gigantic figure.

Even sitting down, it stands nearly as tall as an adult, with exceptionally strong arms and two tusks growing from the lower jaw. The head connects to a thick mane extending to the neck and back.

This is a Bear Goblin with a challenge level of one.

However, Raine’s gaze merely glances over it, focusing more on a small goblin wearing a tattered linen robe beside the Bear Goblin.

Upon seeing it, Raine’s lips curve into a smile.

’Not bad, worthy of a large Goblin Nest.’

’Finally, I meet the second one again!’

Hearing the noise from the cave entrance and the screams of fellow goblins, the originally disdainful Bear Goblin now looks over with curiosity.

Seeing the white Frost Armor shield on Raine’s body, its beast-like pupils suddenly shrink, jumping up to reveal its massive seven-foot-tall stature.

Not the tall fat kind, the Bear Goblin looks muscularly proportioned, with especially broad and thick shoulders covered in dense hair.

This Bear Goblin has light yellow fur, wearing a poorly fitting leather armor from some unfortunate adventurer, highlighting its muscular build.

The nail head hammer it wields extends over five feet, its head filled with sharp metal spikes.

One can imagine the dire consequences if this hammer landed a blow on a human body, no wonder the two warrior apprentices in the team look uncertain when tasked with tackling the Bear Goblin.

However, for Raine now, one Bear Goblin is not too concerning.

"A mage...a human mage..." sounds like rocks scratching together from the Bear Goblin’s throat.

The Bear Goblin possesses intelligence, understanding goblin language and some common human language.

"Crook is not afraid!" 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞

"(goblin language) Surround him!"

Hearing the Bear Goblin’s roar, the goblin warriors nearby immediately surround Raine.

And the goblin in the linen robe, after observing the Frost Armor shield on Raine’s body, flashes a look of shock and fear in its originally calm eyes.

But then, seemingly awakened by the Bear Goblin’s roar beside it, it instantly raises a hand to cast a spell, a blaze of light appearing within the thin green hand.

"Snap!"

Steel boots stomped heavily on the ground, spraying soil, as the figure surrounded by white frost flowers suddenly accelerates, trailing a plume of cold mist, appearing before the Bear Goblin.

"Crook wants the mage dead!"

This Bear Goblin named Crook roars to boost its courage, raising the massive nail hammer with both hands, aiming to strike Raine, when suddenly!

A dark obsidian shield reflects in its beast-like amber-brown vertical pupils, growing larger.

"Boom!!!"

In an instant, Raine’s obsidian shield smashes brutally into the Bear Goblin’s big face, breaking its nose while two thin, fetid blood trails linger in the air.

"Snap!"

Nearby, the mutated goblin, about to complete its spell, has bulging eyes as its thin green body folds in half, like a small cannonball flying backward, crashing heavily against the distant rock wall.

Raine utilized the Barbaric Charge to close in rapidly, executing a Shield Bash attacking the Bear Goblin while simultaneously kicking the mutated goblin in the abdomen with his steel boots.

In a moment, the most threatening Bear Goblin and mutated goblin in the Goblin Nest are both taken down by Raine.

But at this moment, the goblin warriors’ attacks also arrive frequently, stabbing and slashing at Raine. Compared to the weak ordinary goblins, these attacks are much fiercer yet only pierce the Frost Armor Spell’s defense.

After being weakened by Frost Armor, the sword tips or spear tips barely touch Raine’s thick plate armor.

Completely invulnerable.

Meanwhile.

The Frost Armor’s countering also covers the goblin warriors’ weapon-wielding arms with white ice layers, spreading swiftly to slow their movements.

When four to fifty goblins, mixed with four or five goblin warriors, and the Bear Goblin just rising in dizziness gather together, Raine slightly turns to the mutated goblin kicked against the rock wall for another Barbaric Charge.
