Chapter 136: Moving to New Home

Four days later, the birth certificate and Destiny’s adoption papers were being processed. The city government allowed Destiny to stay with Dennis, Daisy, and the others because she wouldn’t know anyone but them; besides, Dennis, Daisy, and the rest were already judged capable of caring for Destiny and providing her with security. The house purchase had also been handled by a notary, and they were just waiting to receive the deed once the paperwork was finished. "Click," the door to their new home swung open.

"Whoaaah,"

Daisy, Diana, Dahlia, Donna, Deborah, Dulcia, and Daphne—who was currently cradling Destiny—were instantly amazed and looked absolutely thrilled to see the house already filled with new furniture, even though there were still many stacks of boxes in the living room containing their belongings from the apartment, which they had sent over using a moving service.

"Hey, give me a hand, will ya?"

Daisy, Diana, Dahlia, Donna, Deborah, Dulcia, and Daphne—who was currently cradling Destiny—turned to see Dennis at the front door lugging a fairly large new baby crib that was still in unassembled pieces, a diaper bag, a duffel bag, and two rolling suitcases.

"Oh right, sorry honey," Daisy said, immediately helping him by taking the diaper bag and then heading upstairs.

"Give me the crib, I’ll take it upstairs and put it together," Dulcia said, effortlessly grabbing the large crib components and carrying them as if she were carrying a light leaf basket toward the master bedroom on the second floor, followed by Daphne who was still holding Destiny.

"I’ll help," Dahlia said, taking both of the rolling suitcases and then carrying them upstairs.

After that, they all went inside. Dennis closed the door and locked it, then walked into the living room to look at the sofa, the coffee table, and the curtains by the large window that looked out onto the backyard. He noted the hanging light above, and the new refrigerator and stove that had been delivered and installed yesterday. Then he saw the air conditioner on the wall above the window, the router installed on the new TV stand, and the carpet covering the floor so Destiny could lie down safely.

"Is everything installed?" Dennis asked.

"It is. Now we just have to unpack the boxes from the apartment and set them up," Diana answered, pointing to the stack of boxes in front of her.

"Let’s start unpacking," Deborah said, rolling up her sleeves.

"Hold on, I’m going to check the security here first. I bought some surveillance cameras and an alarm yesterday, give me a sec," Donna said, immediately heading off to scout around.

"Let’s just start unpacking," Deborah said, stepping forward toward the stack of cardboard boxes.

"I’ll help," Diana added, also moving forward.

"I’m going upstairs first to drop off this duffel bag, I’ll be back down in a bit," Dennis said.

"Okay," Diana and Deborah replied in unison.

Dennis then headed upstairs to the master bedroom. When he opened the door, his eyes widened at the sight of three double king-size beds. One was lined up against the far right wall, and another sat against the wall directly across from a massive wardrobe that ran along the same wall as the entrance, which concealed a secret door to the bathroom. Destiny’s crib was placed between two separate beds, making her easy to watch so anyone could handle it if she cried during the night.

On the left wall across from the beds hung a television, with a small desk and chair underneath, and a vanity in the left corner right next to the door. The curtains covering the window—located directly opposite the door and beside the third bed—were also new, featuring soft colors and smooth fabric.

"Wow... this room turned out really cozy," Dennis said as he dropped his duffel bag on the floor.

"Yeah, we made the right choice, didn’t we honey?" Daisy asked with a smile.

"Yep... spot on. But with Destiny in the room, we’re going to have to scale back our nightly activities a bit," Dennis said, smiling.

Immediately, Dulcia, Daphne, and Dahlia, who were busy assembling the crib, turned their heads to look at Dennis standing in the doorway. A startled Dennis looked over at Daisy, who was also staring at him. The room went silent for a moment, the only sound being Destiny’s soft giggling.

"What? Why is everyone quiet?" Dennis asked, confused.

"There’s no need to cut back on the nightly activities, is there? We can do it anywhere besides this room," Daisy answered.

"That’s true, no obstacles there," Dahlia added.

"Dear, don’t ever discuss our activities together. They’re mandatory and not up for debate," Daphne added.

"Right, baby. How about we turn the basement into our ’playground’ for the eight of us? The kind of games we usually play at night without clothes on," Dulcia suggested.

"Hey, we can take up to two hours when we’re being intimate all together. What if Destiny starts crying and needs us during that time?" Dennis asked innocently.

Immediately, Dulcia, Dahlia, and Daphne ran over to Dennis. Together with Daisy, they stood right in front of him, their wide eyes searching his face as if they were looking for something specific.

"What... what is it now?" Dennis asked, confused.

"It seems like you care more about Destiny than your seven wives, don’t you, honey?" Daisy asked with a pathetic, pleading look on her face.

"Destiny is Destiny, and we are us... don’t forget about us wives, love," Dahlia added piteously.

"I know you’ve become a father, baby, but the seven of us are still your wives; we have needs too, don’t we?" Dulcia added, her voice full of pleading.

"Please don’t cut back on our intimacy. I’m sure Destiny wouldn’t want that either; she definitely wants her mamas to be happy too, right?" Daphne added, pleading with him.

"What are you all even talking about? Geez... alright, fine. We’ll keep things exactly as they were," Dennis said, giving in because he couldn’t handle the intense stares from his four wives.

"Okay," the four of them said cheerfully, immediately giving Dennis a kiss.

Without wasting any more time, the four of them went right back to assembling the baby crib, which was only half-finished. Dennis just rubbed his face and then scratched the back of his head, watching his four wives become lively again. He then approached Destiny, who was lying on the bed, stirring as she woke up. Dennis sat on the edge of the bed and picked up Destiny, whose eyes were wide and wandering everywhere. Dennis gazed at Destiny’s face with a smile and began to rock her slowly and gently.

"I actually meant we should just scale back a bit and spend more time with you, Destiny, not stop altogether. Your mamas are really something else, they’re going to wear your papa out," Dennis said in his heart with a smile while looking at Destiny, reaching out his finger for her to grab.

Meanwhile, downstairs, Diana and Deborah were unpacking the cardboard boxes. They carried kitchen supplies to the kitchen, hung and arranged photos on the walls, and set up electronics like the television, game console, and sound system on the TV stand in front of the new sofa. They placed books on the new bookshelf behind the sofa and moved the laundry basket to the basement near the washing machine to hold dirty clothes. As Diana and Deborah sat on the floor to unpack another box, Donna—who had finished checking the surveillance camera spots and ensuring everything was powered on—returned to the living room.

"Wait... where’s sugar?" Donna asked, looking around.

"Upstairs," Deborah answered while moving a box aside.

"Get over here and help," Diana said, calling Donna over.

"Okay... but why is it taking so long just to put a crib together?" Donna asked, walking over to Diana and sitting beside her as she opened a new box.

"Yeah, you’re right... why is it taking so long? It’s just assembly," Deborah added as she returned.

"Hmm," the three of them immediately fell into thought, their hands stopping. Then, they all turned to look toward the stairs.

"Don’t tell me they’re doing that and didn’t invite us," Diana said.

"Oh man... that’s cheating. How could they not include us?" Donna asked.

"There’s only one way to find out for sure. Let’s go upstairs. For the past few days, we haven’t gotten our share from our husband because we’ve all been exhausted," Deborah said, standing up.

"Right. Come to think of it, my husband hasn’t touched me in the last four days; he’s always busy taking care of Destiny," Diana said, standing up as well.

"Exactly! This is bad if we don’t get touched anymore... it’s not that I’m jealous of Destiny, I love her... but... ugh... let’s go upstairs," Donna urged, also standing up.

Finally, the three of them abandoned their work and rushed upstairs, bursting into the master bedroom. "Blam," the three of them flung the door open, gasping for breath, causing Dennis—who was still cradling Destiny—to turn toward the door in shock. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚

"What is it now?" Dennis asked, already getting a headache at the sight of Diana, Donna, and Deborah standing in the doorway, panting for air.
