Chapter 975: Chapter 975: Don’t Regret

"I’ve come to ask you a question," the Godfather sat in the Arabian-style chair, his gaze sharp and icy, "between the country and a beauty, which would you choose?"

Third Young Master Jun’s shoulder injury still hadn’t healed, and he was quite shocked by the sudden arrival of Su Feiman.

But he quickly calmed down.

"The answer to that question is..." Third Young Master Jun lifted his head proudly, his natural nobility and haughtiness fully revealed, exuding the aura of a sovereign, "I want both the country and the beauty. Incompetent people could only choose one, while those who are strong enough can possess both without compromise."

His voice was like the sound of striking metal, forceful and resonating, full of confidence and determination. It echoed in the empty room, leaving a startling impact.

Su Feiman’s eyes, sharp yet restrained, narrowed slightly, and he didn’t speak for a while, but the atmosphere in the room suddenly became dangerous.

"Hmph, such bold words, even I wouldn’t dare to be so arrogant. So in your eyes, I am the kind of person who can only choose one due to incompetence," Su Feiman said with a sneer, his face looking very sarcastic. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮

"I didn’t mean it that way."

Third Young Master Jun remained unafraid of his presence and anger.

"I, Jun Huang, simply believe that a man who can’t even protect his beloved woman has neither the capability nor the qualifications to win the country. The so-called ’choice between a country and a beauty’ is nothing more than an excuse conjured up by losers to justify their failings."

"Only you would dare speak to me like this," Su Feiman said, gazing deeply at him.

"It’s precisely because you admire my ambition and courage that you absorbed me into the organization, Godfather. I hope you’ve never regretted your decision."

"I also hope, Jun Huang, that you’ve never regretted your own decisions," Su Feiman replied.

The atmosphere suddenly became frosty, as the two men indifferently stared at each other, neither showing any emotion in their eyes, because they were the two most heartless men in the world.

Su Feiman suddenly smiled meaningfully, stood up, and walked over to him: "Then, let the Godfather first see if you have the ability to obtain the country, child, your Seven-Star mission should begin now."

He reached out his hand, placing it on Third Young Master Jun’s shoulder, in a seemingly encouraging manner, yet he patted the exact spot where Third Young Master Jun was injured. The tearing pain turned his face momentarily pale, but he proudly lifted his head.

"I won’t disappoint you!"

"Very good, I look forward to seeing the headline of Old Ling’s death!" Su Feiman turned and left coldly.

He was very displeased; he remembered the time when he first brought Jun Huang into the organization and how different it was from now. Back then, Jun Huang was full of ambition and ruthlessness, cold-hearted and unscrupulous, an elegant and malevolent beast, but now... perhaps too sentimental.

As he walked out, he happened to see Ye Lu pulling two children, returning from outside, high-spirited and joyful.

Ye Lu was startled to see Su Feiman. He gave her a fleeting glance, his gaze moving down to rest on her belly.

Then he quickly left.

Ye Lu was baffled, but the memory of that brief glance sent a chill down her spine.

She rushed to Third Young Master Jun’s room, finding him sitting in his chair, his face somewhat pale and cold sweat on his forehead, yet with a contemplative expression, his eyes cold and piercing, his face as frosty as ice.

"Who is he, and what did he say to you?" Ye Lu asked instinctively.

Third Young Master Jun snapped back to reality and spoke indifferently, "He’s my godfather, the one who baptized me when I was studying abroad."
