My Scheming Little Devil-Chapter 851 Clearly Bought Off
"You have two days to stabilize the stock, and yet you’re doing nothing but running to the school?" Feiyu glared at her, feeling utterly frantic inside.
With Third Young Master away, he had no authority to use some of his shell company accounts, and couldn’t secretly enter the market to acquire Tian Kun’s stocks. If he couldn’t accomplish this in two days, Third Young Master would strip Tian Kun of his power.
"Anyway, I have a way to meet Jun Shi’s requirements."
"If you do nothing, what can you possibly do?" 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂
"Hmph, that’s my secret. Whether you believe it or not, go figure out a way yourself," Ye Lu said calmly as she got out of the car, "Feiyu, you should know that stabilizing the stocks is important, but what’s most crucial in this whole affair is clearing the rigged bidding process, and at the heart of it all is the falsification of my thesis!"
So, the real focus was to quickly find evidence confirming that there were no issues with the bidding.
Upon arriving at the school, she found her advisor’s office.
But she saw her advisor packing his belongings into a large box, his face a picture of defeated gray.
"Professor, what are you doing?" Ye Lu was utterly astonished, "Are you being transferred?"
Her advisor turned to look at her with a complicated gaze, appearing haggard as he sighed, "I’ve been dismissed."
Ye Lu was shocked. Her advisor had been dismissed; how could the school do this.
The professor had taught at this school for more than twenty years, made numerous contributions, trained many elites, and was a well-known figure in the academic world, yet he’d been so abruptly dismissed.
This was outrageous.
"This is personal. How can the school dismiss you? They can’t treat you like this." She was incensed.
Her advisor was an old professor who greatly valued his reputation. He had always carried himself with dignity, and now to be dismissed in such a manner was a complete humiliation.
This situation hadn’t been thoroughly investigated yet; it was rash to dismiss a professor so hastily.
"You are my student, and your thesis has been proven to be a fabrication. As your advisor who guided you, I naturally have to take responsibility. With all the commotion now, it doesn’t look good for the school’s reputation, so dismissing me shows the school’s zero tolerance for academic misconduct," the advisor said with a bitter smile.
"But this has nothing to do with you. I’ll speak to the president."
Ye Lu clenched her teeth and immediately went to find the president, even if it meant using the Jun Family’s influence to save her teacher.
"Madam, please don’t make this more difficult for me; I’m also under duress." The president, who had once bowed and scraped to Third Young Master Jun, was now visibly impatient upon seeing her.
"The Jun Family gives you so much sponsorship money every year, and you can’t even meet one small request?" Ye Lu’s expression was unsightly.
"Madam, you’re quite amusing. The Jun Family’s sponsorship isn’t yours to give, so why should you be ordering me around? Alright, I’ll be honest with you—it was Mr. Jun Shi who ordered his dismissal, and he wants the school to investigate your academic fraud thoroughly," the president said bluntly, with a sarcastic sneer, "And since you did cheat, we are just being fair in our handling."
It was Jun Shi.
This old bastard was truly despicable, extending his reach even into the school and not sparing her advisor.
Ye Lu’s eyes turned icy, "What fair handling? You’ve clearly been bought by Jun Shi!"
This president had never had a good reputation, rumored to have climbed to his position through nepotism, always fawning over large corporations.
With a sinister glint in his eyes, the president retorted, "So what if that’s true? If you could give me fifty million, I might be able to help you. But for someone like you, who has no status in the Jun Family and is utterly despised, pfft, don’t mention fifty million – you couldn’t even produce five copper coins!"
