My Scheming Little Devil-Chapter 1937: Running Into a Bastard
Fengye Wuyue got more and more excited as she listened, clapped her hands, and said: "We can’t waste this outfit. Let’s go have some fun tonight, let’s go to a masquerade ball. A cousin of mine has been keen on hosting these thrilling and mysterious parties lately; it’s quite exciting!"
So Yiyi was dragged by her to attend the so-called masquerade ball.
The Fengye Clan truly has all sorts of people. It’s said that this cousin loves to play and is particularly fond of doing strange performance art and hosting masquerade parties and such.
Many young men and women from high society enjoy attending her parties because they can go wild and relieve stress.
Yiyi had attended masquerade balls before, but when she arrived at this one held in an old castle in the suburbs, she was truly stunned. It was simply... a dance of a thousand demons!
Bizarrely dressed, crazy and eerie, lavish and wild folks, with all kinds of costumes and role-playing, some were glamorous, some pure, others filthy and depraved, and even more mysterious and strange, as if she had entered a spider cave.
"Come on, while you’re still unmarried, enjoy it thoroughly. There are a lot of handsome guys tonight; enjoy the last bit of single life," Fengye Wuyue, already high, enthusiastically pulled Yiyi along to greet the various demons upon entering.
It seemed like Fengye Wuyue was quite popular here as well. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
"Big Sis, you’re pretty popular, go dance then." Yiyi wasn’t interested in this dance of demons and was just eager to get rid of Fengye Wuyue so she could have time to contact some underground passcode card manufacturers to help make a replica of the data.
Fengye Wuyue, who had already had a few cocktails, scanned the dance floor, quickly spotted her target, and immediately put on a mask, then gave Yiyi a luxurious mask to wear.
"Oh right, you better not tell my brother about this. If he knows I brought you to a place like this, he’d kill me. Don’t be fooled by his unruly nature; he’s traditional at heart. Just thinking about your life after marriage, how you’ll be controlled by him, makes me pity you. So have fun tonight!"
After sympathetically patting Yiyi on the shoulder, she sashayed into the dance floor to flirt with the handsome guys.
"Finally she’s gone, thank goodness." Yiyi went to a corner and took out her phone to contact merchants online to help make the passcode card. She contacted many before finding a more reliable one.
After all, she was making a Fengye Clan passcode card, and if this was discovered, it would be very risky, so the other party’s asking price was quite high. Yiyi had a headache as her account was nearly empty, so she negotiated for more time to make the payment.
It seemed she could only get some from Fengye Wuyin, but she wasn’t sure if he would give her any, considering his moody and weird temperament.
While pondering how to swindle some from Fengye Wuyin,
she noticed someone approaching her.
It was a pair who seemed to have come down from the dance floor, talking and laughing quietly as they walked over because the lighting was dim here and there were all sorts of makeup props scattered around, so they apparently hadn’t noticed Yiyi’s presence.
Yiyi did notice that the woman dressed like a turkey was the party host pointed out by Fengye Wuyue earlier, her cousin.
Yiyi knew that these parties were chaotic, and if any of those men and women hit it off, they’d wildly make out in the corners, possibly even going further.
She certainly didn’t want to see that.
Just as she was about to walk away, a man’s low, melodic voice stopped her in her tracks.
Full of disbelief in her heart, this voice was so familiar, familiar to the point of making her grit her teeth—the damn bastard who didn’t come to save her—Helian Ling Kong!
