My Scheming Little Devil-Chapter 1865: Uncontrollable
It seems like some massive news is being broadcast, which has greatly shocked them.
"Oh my god, how could this happen? Our army, which has been winning consistently, was ambushed successfully by rebels last night, suffering heavy losses and many soldiers and officers were killed or injured."
"Yes, even Major Helian is missing. It’s said his aircraft was shot down and crashed in flames."
"Does this mean he might be... Oh my god, how could Councilman Helian bear this blow? His last son died not long ago! It’s just too unlucky; that son died in a military operation, and now the same with this one."
"Not necessarily though, since no body has been found, he might not have died in battle. But with the battlefield so chaotic right now, finding survivors or bodies is not easy." 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
"Everything caught fire and fell, how much chance is there of surviving? Usually, those labeled as missing in battle are mostly killed in action, just waiting for their bodies to be found to prove it. Some are even blown to pieces, unable to find the body."
"Major Helian is my idol. At this award ceremony, he was the most outstanding and distinguished. He shone brilliantly, like a god among all the officers. Given time, he would have certainly become a powerful figure like another councilman. Unfortunately, our country has lost another future hero!"
A group of students sighed over the early death of their idol, their voices heavy and sorrowful, with some girls unable to stop crying.
The atmosphere became incredibly sad.
Passing by, Yiyi listened to their voices, as if struck by several thunderbolts, standing rigidly there, like a fossil, almost ceasing to breathe.
She thought she was hallucinating, but the names Major Helian, Ling Kong kept coming out of the students’ mouths. Different voices entwined into a curse in her mind, spinning madly, making it impossible for her to tell herself she heard wrong.
"Impossible, how is it possible?" Her face turned pale in an instant, her gaze unfocused, filled with shock and disbelief, stammering as if dumbfounded.
That man had just called her last night, filled with energy, furiously scolded her.
How could such a living person disappear from this world in the blink of an eye?
He’s dead! How could it be?
Her heart frantically denied it, her usually clear and rational mind was in chaos, a indescribable, bizarre yet heavy heartache struck her heart fiercely, leaving her shocked, fearful, and bewildered, completely unclear about what had happened to her.
Why did hearing this news suddenly make her feel so painful and suffering, as if the heartache was drawn from a very deep and profound place? Yet, like the oil field of a deep well, once the borehole is pierced, the oil gushes out uncontrollably!
"Yiyi, what’s wrong?" Mist White worriedly supported her trembling body, looked at her face as pale as paper, her eyes at this moment chaotic and unable to focus, falling into an extremely uncontrolled state, "Are you feeling unwell? I’ll take you to the hospital!"
He was about to support her and leave when she seemed to wake up suddenly, stimulated by something, abruptly shook him off fiercely.
She pushed through the crowd in the square, rushing in front of the screen.
She raised her head to look at the enormous screen, watching the huge photo of Ling Kong in military uniform there, along with the announcer’s heavy voice, declaring his disappearance and the news of his aircraft catching fire and crashing into the battle area mountains.
