Chapter 968: Chapter 968: Slaughtering All Around

The Hunting Team Nine is full of powerful individuals with astonishing combat capability.

So far, out of one hundred elite members, sixty-nine have died, and half of the six Human Body Limit experts are dead.

Beside Jonard, there are still three Human Body Limit experts and thirty-one elite members.

Ridiculously, Jonard still wanted to conceal the death of thirty-nine members during the attack on the stronghold, refusing to become a laughingstock, and was delusional about reclaiming his honor upon capturing Ye Fan. But the result was, he couldn’t imagine Ye Fan’s revenge would be so swift, his combat power so terrifying, directly making it something he couldn’t underestimate.

If the losses of Hunting Team Nine were to spread, Sky Net would be shocked, and the Underworld would be shocked.

The reputation of Hunting Team Nine would probably plummet, becoming unbearable.

However, outsiders cannot know about this for the time being, and Ye Fan has no intention of publicizing it.

If Jonard knew about his losses, he would definitely jump and curse, no longer maintaining any composure.

Jonard’s hiding spot, his eyelids kept twitching, he uneasily said, "Could something be about to happen?"

With his years of experience dealing with life and death situations, he vaguely sensed the danger of the situation.

But exactly what danger and what was wrong, he couldn’t pinpoint.

"Sir, what’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell?" Jebson asked in confusion.

"Check the situation of the other three ten-member teams, I feel something is about to happen." Jonard instructed with an unquestionable stern face.

"Sir, I think you’re overthinking. What could possibly happen to them?" Jebson muttered inwardly, unable to comprehend Jonard’s unease, yet based on his grasp of the situation, he believed nothing could happen. Why Jonard would think this way was, in his view, dwelling too much on losses during the stronghold attack.

However, he dared not question Jonard’s orders, and immediately made contact.

But, despite calling the phones of those three Human Body Limit experts repeatedly, no response came from the other side.

Jebson’s face gradually grew somber, uneasiness spilling over his expression.

"Sir!" Jebson called out with a trembling voice.

The other two Human Body Limit experts beside him also wore grim expressions, not knowing what to say.

At this moment, Jonard and the other three were strategizing on how to lure Ye Fan out of the Wild Alliance Headquarters stronghold, then surround and capture him.

Suddenly faced with such a transformation, the brows of all four furrowed to varying degrees.

"The damned experience of dealing with life and death for years tells me something is about to happen, but exactly what will happen, I don’t know." Jonard squinted, a sharp light emanating from the narrow slits.

"What could possibly happen?"

"Could Ye Fan possibly counterattack, planning to surround us? Haha, that’s absolutely impossible."

"At this moment, Ye Fan is probably hiding in the stronghold, fearing our attack."

Jebson and the three Human Body Limit experts exchanged glances, the puzzlement evident on their faces.

"Let’s hope I’m just being paranoid, in the past, whenever I felt apprehensive, something major happened; let’s hope this time I’m overthinking." Jonard muttered.

"Maybe the other teams are on their way and haven’t heard my calls. I’ll try calling a few more times. Besides, they’re unlikely to meet trouble, and even if they do, what trouble could hold them back?" said Jebson, suppressing his unease.

Outside the two-story building, Ye Fan emerged from the night.

He approached the door soundlessly, then suddenly dispatched two guards with a snap of their necks, dragging their bodies aside before slipping in.

He had already scouted out this building, understanding the situation of the hidden sentries and patrolling Hunting Team members, needing only a bit of effort to handle these problems. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞

Three minutes later, Ye Fan stood in the first-floor lobby.

In the lobby, the four patrolling men had long been dead, their bodies nearing cold.

The eight hidden sentries scattered around the two-story building had their necks snapped, dead beyond measure.

So far, including the two outside, fourteen Hunting Team members had died at his hands within three minutes.

Out of thirty-one elite Hunting Team members, seventeen remained.

On the second floor, apart from a few guarding a room, voices came from other directions, sounding like gambling, a form of entertainment to pass the time, commonly employed by those in the Underworld.

Gathered together for gambling entertainment were around ten people, Ye Fan slowly approached and decisively struck.

His knife rose and fell, stabbing three to death, leaving the others shocked and snapping out of their daze, jumping away frantically.

Their astonished expressions seemed frozen on their faces, mouths agape as their hearts nearly leapt to their throats.

"Damn, enemy attack, enemy attack!"

"Ye Fan broke in, damn it! What are those patrol idiots outside doing, how could they not detect this at all?"

"This doesn’t make sense, how did Ye Fan find this place?"

"Kill, grab your weapons, kill that bastard who dared to intrude, he looked down on us too much, can’t let it rest, have to kill him to quell the wrath."

After a brief shock and horror, the remaining few charged at Ye Fan like madmen, shouting furiously, their inner rage and killing intent erupted like surging molten lava.

"Overestimating their capabilities!" Ye Fan sneered coldly, swinging his combat knife to meet them.

"Enemy attack?"

"Ye Fan broke in?"

"Impossible!"

"I’d rather believe the sky fell than believe Ye Fan would come here."

The Hunting Team members guarding Jonard’s room called out incredulously, running toward the source of the sound. They watched and observed, doubting Ye Fan’s presence, fearing reporting to their lord before seeing him with their own eyes and risking a false alarm.

Several rushed to the door of gambling companions, seeing a chaotic scene, immediately shouted, "Damn it, God, Ye Fan really came, how could this rogue be so bold to attack us, isn’t he seeking death?"

"Quickly report to the lord." Someone shouted urgently.

The two guarding outside the door crashed into it, the wooden door shattered on impact, both stumbling chaotically into Jonard’s room, loudly reporting, "Sir, not good, big trouble, Ye Fan has broken in."

"What?" Jebson and the other two nearly bit their tongues in shock.

"What?" Jonard nearly choked to death in astonishment.
