My Perfect Female CEO-Chapter 1105: The Enemy of My Enemy Is My Friend
Ye Fan felt like he was being tangled up, and Sendor was sticking to him like a piece of gum that wouldn’t let go.
Regardless of what ulterior motives Sendor had, hearing "Hero Ye" over and over again was getting quite annoying to Ye Fan.
Ye Fan didn’t know Sendor at all. Meeting him for the first time and seeing him act so familiar was naturally suspicious.
As the saying goes, there’s always something fishy when things are off.
Sendor was feeling good, acting all buddy-buddy and carefree in front of Ye Fan, but he showed another domineering side to his subordinates, who naturally flattered him and wouldn’t dare to oppose him.
After confirming with his subordinates and receiving unanimous flattery, Sendor turned to Ye Fan, spread his hands innocently, and said, "Hero Ye, you see, all my subordinates are smart people. They all think the title ’Hero Ye’ is both domineering and elegant. There’s no title more fitting. You’re indeed a hero, no need to be humble, just accept it with modesty."
"I respectfully call you ’Hero Ye’, a name with epoch-making significance. I racked my brains to come up with it. If you don’t like it, it’s because you don’t understand me. Once you get to know me better, you’ll see ’Hero Ye’ as an unprecedented and unparalleled title," Sendor said with self-satisfaction.
"Such a common and popular name, worthy of being described as domineering and elegant?"
"Accept it with modesty? Me, humble? Which of your eyes sees me being humble?"
"Besides, what does such a tiresome name have to do with understanding you?"
Ye Fan felt a bitter smile inside, and although he grumbled in his heart, there was no need to say it aloud. After all, it’s hard to raise a fist against someone with a smiling face, and since Sendor came with good intentions, it’s not right to respond with harsh words.
Though Sendor’s thoughts were jumbled and his words illogical, he meant no harm and had an attitude of acquaintance. It made Ye Fan reluctant to respond negatively.
"General Sendor, is it? What do you need from me? I have things to do, and if you have nothing important, maybe we should part ways for now," Ye Fan replied calmly.
"Worthy of Hero Ye, standing nonchalantly in the face of my armed-to-the-teeth subordinates and still not giving me face. That alone shows your courage and upright stature. I’ve decided we’re brothers, I can’t let you go easily. I must invite you to my camp for a proper gathering," Sendor said as if it were a matter of course.
"Are you threatening me? Or trying to kidnap me?" Ye Fan chuckled. "What if I refuse?"
"Hero Ye, don’t misunderstand, I have no intention of being your enemy. I know you have matters to attend to, which is why I’m here to see you," Sendor said, sincerely inviting, "Please come to our camp with me. This is not the place to talk, and you won’t regret it because I have some things to discuss with you, and you can decide what to do after hearing it."
"Will what you say be useful to me?" Ye Fan asked calmly.
"Of course it will be, I guarantee you won’t be disappointed," Sendor replied earnestly.
"Alright, in that case, lead the way," Ye Fan responded decisively, without overthinking. Since Sendor seemed earnest, it wouldn’t hurt to see what he wanted. Besides, having just arrived in the Middle East, he did need intelligence. Letting Sendor provide some useful information couldn’t hurt.
"Return the way we came, everyone return the way we came," Sendor ordered his subordinates.
"Yes, General." A chorus of responses followed.
Soon, the car at the end turned around, leading the way, with the others closely following behind.
"Stop dawdling, get in the cars," Sendor finally told his adjutant and driver.
"General, what about you?" the adjutant asked cautiously.
"I’ll naturally ride with Hero Ye’s car. Stop hesitating, move quickly." Sendor said as he leaped onto Ye Fan’s car without hesitation.
"..." The adjutants exchanged glances, having no choice but to follow Sendor’s orders. They wanted to warn Sendor of the potential danger of sitting with Ye Fan, but since Sendor wasn’t afraid, they kept quiet to avoid Sendor’s reprimand.
The car roared, and the group sped along the road.
"Hero Ye, are you sure your driving skills are great? You’re already so familiar with this newly bought car." Sendor remarked oddly.
"You’re quite interested in my information," Ye Fan glanced at Sendor. "This car is indeed newly purchased. Seems like you’ve been keeping tabs on me. Since I set foot on this land, your people started monitoring me, didn’t they?"
"Hero Ye, saying surveillance sounds too formal, like we’re enemies. Actually, I’m not surveilling you, I just asked my people to pay more attention to your situation. That’s how I knew to pick you up," Sendor honestly continued, "After hearing you’d come to the Middle East, I’ve been watching your news closely. Today, I finally met you, so naturally, I had to pay you a visit and make a connection."
"How did you know I was coming to the Middle East?" Ye Fan was quite surprised by Sendor’s information-gathering prowess.
After all, his trip was organized in secret by the Tang Family, a piece of news not available to Sendor. No other channels could have dug it up either, yet Sendor knew, which was certainly unexpected.
"Naturally, I got the information from people in Sky Net. We’re in the heat of battle with the Hunting Squad Nine, so it’s natural I know about it," Sendor said as if it was obvious.
"I thought as much, you couldn’t have known my whereabouts otherwise. So you got it from Sky Net." Ye Fan understood.
"Sky Net is expanding their force desperately, naturally with mixed results. Even if I didn’t infiltrate my people into Sky Net, some information would still leak out because of loose lips. Not to mention, I’ve got people inside Hunting Squad Nine," Sendor revealed openly.
"Aren’t you afraid I’ll leak this to Hunting Squad Nine? It’d be a huge loss for you, and your mole in the squad must hold a high position to get such information, right?" Ye Fan casually remarked.
"You won’t," Sendor confidently replied, though it wasn’t clear on what basis he was so certain.
"Why?" Ye Fan asked.
"Because you’re an enemy of Sky Net, and the enemy of my enemy is my friend. So, we are friends," Sendor explained with clear logic.
"Just based on that? If he knew my current mission in the Middle East was under Sky Net’s coercion to deal with the God Organization, he might turn against me immediately," Ye Fan thought, remaining impassive.
