Chapter 324: *A black symbol appeared*

But then, after he had a second of inattention while he was telling Caleb which demon he had to get rid of, he was hit by one of the Titan’s short swords, and a long and deep cut appeared on his forearm, which healed almost instantly.

He smirked when he saw this; apparently, this blade wasn’t as dangerous as he had imagined. But suddenly, he started to spit blood, and while this Titan thought he could finish him off by decapitating him while he was still spitting blood, he countered his sneak attack, which surprised this Titan.

He took this opportunity to cross his two swords in a quick movement right in front of his neck and decapitated him with this attack.

He didn’t know what was wrong with him; he had probably been poisoned. As the demons in charge of refereeing the match declared him the winner, he heard Colin’s voice in his mind saying hurriedly, "Hurry up and come back here; you have been poisoned by hydra venom, and according to Kevin, the dose you received is much stronger than the one on the prisoners you freed. Luckily, Ian still has the antidote with him, so..."

But Mykael didn’t hear the next part, and he felt himself fainting. How was it possible, he thought? How could a venom knock him out?

Colin managed to catch him just in time before he hit the ground, and he made him drink the antidote immediately. When his eyes fell on the body of this now lifeless Titan, he made bright red flames appear in his hand and threw them on the corpse, which instantly ignited and was reduced to ashes in only a few seconds.

Mykael then opened his eyes with a start and tackled Colin to the ground. His eyes had turned bright red, and Colin said to tease him, "Calm down, my angel; it’s over... And this is really not the right place to show me your affection."

Mykael immediately released him and apologized, his eyes regaining their usual color. He said, after helping him to get up, "Let’s go back to the others."

Colin nodded, and as he headed back to their group, he stopped dead in his tracks when he saw Mykael heading in another direction. He couldn’t help but smile when he saw him bend down to pick up the two short swords of this Titan.

In a fight to the death, the one who defeated his opponent could take his possessions, and if he didn’t, his possessions were returned to his family.

Which in their case meant that the King and this demon, who had managed to give Kevin the creeps, could have appropriated those short swords that had managed to knock out a God as powerful as Mykael.

Colin said to him as he joined him and put an arm around his waist, "You’re really thinking about everything... How do you feel?"

Mykael kissed the top of his head and said to him, "I feel perfectly fine; the venom probably didn’t have time to do too much damage before you gave me the antidote... Damn, I’m feeling so ashamed."

Colin frowned and said to him, "You don’t have to. The dose of venom you received was terrifying. Good thing it was you; if it had been anyone else, he would have died before I could intervene. We’re going to have to be even more vigilant than we thought."

When they joined the others, Kevin was already ready to start his duel, and he immediately recognized the two short swords he had on his back. He said to him with a smile, "I see you took the time to look at the weapons I offered you."

Kevin nodded and asked him seriously, "How are you feeling?"

Mykael felt really embarrassed. When he had passed out after Elias removed that seal that prevented him from fully using his powers, he had accepted it easily, but here... Passing out because of a venom? How was that even possible?

Colin then answered for him, "He’s fine; don’t worry. Luckily, Ian still had some antidotes with him. Did you take any?"

Kevin then told him, "No need; I’m immune to poisons, and Ian will take one just before his fight with that Titan."

He then asked Mykael, "Is Caleb still dealing with our enemies in the shadows, or are you taking over?"

Mykael frowned and said to him, "After what just happened, I’d rather stay with you... Contact Caleb with the communication stones if you ever find any Titans, but don’t let your guard down, and be very careful."

Kevin nodded and turned to Axel one last time before leaving. He told him through their link, "Stay focused on our bond, and if you ever feel that something is wrong with me, contact me immediately. Hearing your voice will be enough to help me become myself again."

Axel then grabbed his neck and said through their link while crushing his lips against his, "If you really feel something fishy about this demon, then kill him quickly, without any hesitation, ok?"

Kevin nodded, and once Axel had released him, he finally made his way to the center of the arena, where that demon with his sinister aura that seemed so familiar to him was already waiting for him.

It was really strange, and he was sure that this demon wasn’t on the battlefield on Monday morning, but he didn’t have time to think about it too much because as soon as the referees had given the start, this demon transformed, and as a black aura swirled around him, a black symbol appeared on his forehead.

Kevin also went straight to his Stage 2, and thanks to the weapons he had on him, his stats were really high. Once his Warrior Spirit skill was activated, he immediately looked at the demon’s stats and frowned as he told Axel the information he had just received about him:

[ WARNING ]

Kevin now knew that the warriors Lilith was talking about were not Warrior Spirits but Knights of Darkness, and apparently, unless it wasn’t his Final Stage, these Knights of Darkness were less powerful than the Warrior Spirits.
