Chapter 284: *A very effective weapon*

When he had finished crafting his 18 potions, he checked his stats and found that he had 846 Soul Force points.

He still had 154 Soul Force points to gain and only 21 potions to craft before moving to low level 3 of his crafting potions skill block.

When he reached it, he hoped he would gain even more Soul Force points and experience points per potion he crafted. He was so close to reaching 1,000 Soul Force points that it was really frustrating.

He took one last look at their baby phoenix egg, and then he teleported to a spot near the training ground number 10, where he would not be noticed by the other fighters.

Ashton and Yelena were there, but for the moment Axel, Erik, and Mykael were still not back, and Alan would arrive only around 5 PM like Liam.

So he left the shadows where he was hiding, and after mingling with the people who were there, he went toward them and decided to start their training. He would wait for Alan and Liam to arrive to go back home, hoping that by then Axel would be back.

When he joined them, Ashton was warming up his muscles under the supervision of Yelena, who was training with her pair of sai.

He told Ashton to continue, and he asked Yelena to explain to him what they had done yesterday while giving her advice from time to time so that she could improve her technique.

When she told him that Ashton had quickly mastered the basic moves he wanted them to work on together, he wasn’t really surprised. But when she told him that after that they had decided to practice mixing her chakra with the water particles Ashton was able to use, he became very curious and immediately asked them to show him the results of their training.

Yelena looked at him a little embarrassed and told him that they had gone to train in the woods yesterday because it was something that no one had ever tried before, and they were afraid of hurting someone unintentionally.

Kevin frowned but didn’t say anything, and then Ashton said to him, "I was the one who suggested it to Yelena, because if we ever really managed to mix her chakra with the water particles, I wanted it to remain a secret attack for the upcoming tournament."

Kevin smirked, and with a quick movement, he disarmed and unbalanced Yelena to pin her to the ground. Then he said to them, "Okay, let’s go then; take me to the place where you trained yesterday. I want to see that with my own eyes."

Yelena swore at getting pinned to the ground like that. How could Kevin do that without any effort and even without looking at her? She said to him, "Damn, you know you’re really creepy. I didn’t even have time to analyze your moves."

Kevin smiled and told her, "Don’t worry, Ashton has analyzed them for you. He will show them to you when he has mastered them. You’ll have to learn quickly with us; come on, get up."

Ashton smiled at Kevin, and he took out a medium-distance Teleportation Talisman paper and handed it to Yelena, who immediately opened a portal.

Once they were on the other side, Kevin’s eyes widened as he saw that they were in front of a huge cliff that had craters of varying sizes all over its surface.

When he looked around, he realized that there were also craters on the ground and that the trees in this area had all been pulverized. He then exclaimed, "What the fuck, did you do that?"

When they nodded, Kevin quickly urged them to demonstrate it to him. His curiosity grew as he observed Ashton positioning himself far behind Yelena, who had her back turned to him.

As he saw that Ashton looked very focused, he then looked at Yelena and noticed that in each of her hands she had concentrated so much chakra that it became visible.

Then, just above her hands, appeared four water balls, and he saw Yelena surround them one after the other with her chakra. She sent them against the cliff wall like cannonballs, and he had to admit that it looked very similar.

Their attacks still lacked a bit of power at the moment, but with practice and as they both progressed, it would become a very effective weapon.

He then asked them some simple questions and learned that if, for the moment, Ashton used water balls, it was because it was the fastest and easiest form to create.

But they had also tested their technique with a water arrow and found that its precision and destructive power were greater in this form.

As he was about to tell them to go back, Mykael appeared in front of them, and he also widened his eyes when he saw all these craters everywhere.

Kevin then explained to him what Ashton and Yelena had done here, and they made another demonstration, but this time with a single water arrow.

Unlike their first demonstration, the impact no longer looked like a crater but rather like a hole left by a laser beam.

Mykael didn’t say a word about their technique, but he knew that Elias and Miguel would be very interested in it.

Then he took them all back to the training ground, and Kevin told him that he and Axel were going home to witness the birth of their baby phoenix and that he was entrusting him with the training of the others for that evening.

He agreed, still wondering how the legendary creature, who was supposed to be his son and son-in-law’s bodyguard, had become his first grandchild.

Once Alan and Liam joined them, and Erik was finally able to train with them because Ashton and Yelena were too weak for him, he teleported to Colin to see how things were going with Ian.

Colin looked serious, and he had created a force field around Ian so that the energy of the black magic pill he was absorbing would not disperse. While placing himself behind Ian so as not to disturb him, he asked with a frown, "Colin, what is this energy I feel?"

Colin then let himself lean against him and Mykael immediately embraced him, enjoying their new intimacy. Colin finally explained to him, "What you feel is a saturation of fire, darkness, and earth particles that are in this pavilion. Ian has installed a small legendary-grade bloodstone to speed up his absorption of the particles when he meditates. Even without this bloodstone, the fire and darkness particles are always much denser around Drakonits because they are attracted to them like a magnet."

Mykael then asked him, "How is it going?"
