My Life In A Fantasy, Women-Dominated World-Chapter 148: Class Upgrade Is Triggered...
Aaron could only facepalm at Ariana’s questioning voice.
Boy Toy.
The cursed class that he was stuck to ever since coming into this world, and whose spells were quite famous.
Since the phone was on speaker and Claire was sitting right on his lap, she leaned closer and whispered in his ear.
"Don’t accept or deny the accusation, I can’t remember the name, but there are other more respectful classes that have this same Reverse Senses spell."
Aaron nodded in understanding, it made sense that the skills weren’t really all unique to a single class except some specialised skills.
Like he doubted any other skill would have the skill ’Safety Protocols’ since it was more of a boytoy and prostitution thing, but ’Reverse Senses’?
It was a utility skill that would be wildly effective in battle, so he can understand why Claire told him as such.
Thus keeping it in mind, he hummed over the call, "I just wanted to live alone because you guys were very annoying."
Of course, it was a piece of information that Claire had agreed to be in the original Aaron’s nature.
If there was anyone that he could scold and talk back to, it would be his family.
Though Aaron found it more pathetic and irritating. The only people he was capable of being rude to were those that genuinely cared about him.
And for the strangers who wouldn’t give a fuck if he lived or died? He would become as meek as a little mouse.
It was pathetic. Showing power to those who were on your side and being a little bitch to your enemies.
But even so, that’s how previous Aaron was and even if he didn’t want to become like that ever, he would need to play the act occasionally.
"That’s harsh, brother." Ariana replied after a brief moment, giggling as if she found his words more funny than disrespectful.
Aaron sighed dramatically, "If that’s all, I should have a talk to mom too. She called a lot this time."
Ariana quickly said, "Don’t. It would be in your best interests not to talk to her currently. She’s afraid you’re sullening her reputation by using the skills of a derogatory class."
His lips parted, eyes blinking as he stared at Claire silently.
She coughed under her breath, her gaze softening as she whispered, "I told you so... your mother is quite conscious about her reputation."
He sighed, saying loudly, "Is that so?"
"That IS so, brother." Ariana laughed, "I already told you before and will say it again, it’s your life so live it how you please, but yes, I am here if you need me.
For mother, I would only suggest not to talk to her, but it is your wish."
"What about the others? Dad and Adri?"
"Nah, not those either. Adrian is at home so the chances are he would run to mother the moment you call him, and as for dad, well he always sucked at lying, didn’t he?"
"...Why would he need to lie?"
"I mean you cannot tell mother that your class is ’Boy Toy’, right? She will disown you in an instant." Ariana replied simply, and before he could even try to deny the accusation, she continued in a leveled tone:
"No need to lie to me, brother. I understood that your class is Boy Toy the moment you chose to dodge the question rather than denying it."
Aaron paused, sighing, "I guess so."
"Oh, so it really was boy toy." She said calmly, giggling.
He could only sigh in response, trying to finish the dragging chat as his mind wandered over to his class.
He had noticed long ago that the upgrade was available along with two new skill options.
It was a huge chance for him, something he wanted to get to once everything was settled, when he could discuss it with his girlfriends and all, but well, not anymore.
With the accusations about his class going around, he would need new and better skills soon if he wanted to debunk them.
Though he was just confused about one thing.
Why didn’t Rye mention anything about it? Why didn’t she seem to care about his class and wanted to recruit him regardless?
As a combatant, she should know quite well that his skills weren’t suited for combat, even if he was trying to gear up for combat... then why?
A few more pleasantries were exchanged with Ariana over the call before she suddenly got called by someone else.
She told him that she would be calling back later and ended it abruptly, leaving Aaron at peace.
"So we aren’t calling your mother currently, right?" Claire, still sitting on his lap, leaned backwards against his chest as she hummed.
His hands trailed around her waist, "Yes, no point triggering her currently. If she asks, I would just tell her that my phone’s screen got broken or something."
Claire nodded.
Aaron’s other hand moved towards the pouting, silent Eva, stroking her lower back with his thumb as she leaned into his touch.
She placed her head on his shoulder and the room dipped into a comfortable silence, only the low whirrs of the AC unit in the background.
And finally, Aaron reached out to the system that rested passively in his mind.
’Status.’
The moment he thought so, a bluish screen appeared in front of his eyes.
[ Unclaimed Rewards: ]

[ Level Checkpoint has been achieved, choose reward for reaching level 25. ]
Aaron had already seen most of the other rewards before, which included the expansion of his inventory slots as well as the increased number of skill slots that were now available to him.
But that wasn’t his focus currently.
He took a deep breath to calm his racing heart, praying to the Earthly gods that he didn’t quite believe in when he used to be the resident of Earth.
But now, he wanted as much good luck as he could get.
