My Kitsune System-Chapter 63: The Nogitsune

The demon stopped for a second to stare at where the pressure was coming from. But then it ignored Dan and continued reaching for the stone.

Dan now made his move. He rushed toward the demon and held its hand before it could pick up the killing stone. The demon stopped within its tracks and turned to look at Dan.

The demon then threw out a punch toward but Dan used his other hand to hold the demon’s hand. And now they were both in a deadlock.

The demon’s face now turned irritated as it looked at Dan. The demon now pulled away from Dan, its eyes still locked on the stone.

Before the demon could move toward the stone, Dan used his foot to kick the stone away. The shadows underneath Dan’s feet began to move and something from within it began to rise.

A dark blade rose from it. The blade carried a dark and ominous aura. On the blade were red thin lines that looked as if they were glowing.

On a closer look it was as though the blade itself was breathing.

Dan now received a notification from the system.

Soul Reaper upgraded to level 2

New trait unlocked: Godslayer trait released.

Dan smiled as he looked at Soul Reaper’s upgrade description, his gaze now moved toward the demon. Both now had their eyes locked on each other.

Pulling the blade back Dan rushed toward the demon.

"Phantom Requiem" Dan spoke the words softly.

A lot of phantom reflects rushed towards the demon to attack him. But with a swap of his hand. The demon was able to swat the attack to the side.

Dan’s face became blank.

It seems my attacks aren’t strong enough to hurt him.

Dan looked at his hands.

I just got stronger

Dan now rushed toward the demon and swung his blade at the demon. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚

But it didn’t try to dodge or even move out of the way instead it used its bare arm to block the incoming attack.

As Soul Reaper collided with the demon’s tough skin, Soul Reaper should have bounced off the demon’s skin.

Instead something different. Soul Reaper began slicing through the demon’s arm. The pupil’s within the demon’s eyes began to widen and immediately it pulled away from Dan.

The demon stared at its almost severed arm and back at Dan who held the ominous blade, as it sucked up it’s blood without letting any drop to the floor.

Before the demon could completely register what was happening Dan had already moved and was about severe its head.

The demon now pulled back away from Dan and for the first time since it had gotten into that room with Dan, it spoke.

"Void maw" the demon said as it struck a fist at Dan.

The demon was now far away from Dan for its fist to collide with Dan and so Dan didn’t move out of the way but stood his ground.

And then Dan felt a cold breeze was over him, it was as though for a moment his body became frozen.

He felt so cold that his nose began running. Using his hand to clean his nose, his hand wasn’t met with mucus but something instead was there.

Dan was bleeding.

It was dripping from his nose but his ears too.

Cough!!!

Dan coughed up more blood. His legs began to become wobbly.

His hand to began to shake holding Soul Reaper was becoming a chore now.

His vision started to turn blurry.

System notification

Dan’s blood dripped from the side of his down to the earth.

I am at the disadvantage.. I need to kill it.

Dan was now finding it hard to keep his eyes focused.

I got an Elemental unlock... I should be able to slow it down and maybe kill it if I add an element to my attack... He thought as he looked at Sigrid.

"I can kill it"

The system then brought up a mini list of elements.

Dan now decided an made his choice

Dan now began approaching the demon with slow strides. The blood on his lips began drying up. His tails began giving off faint golden colored glows.

A burning sensation began appearing on his hand that he used to hold Soul Reaper. Letting it go, Dan raised his head to look at the demon.

Dum!!!

A heart began to beat faster within the room, he immediately turned to look at Sigrid but on paying closer attention it wasn’t from her.

His gaze now moved to the opponent standing before him. Dan knew he didn’t have long to continue this fight as this transformation was eating at his life essence.

Taking a step forward a sound was heard.

Boom!!!

Dan rushed toward the demon, Dan’s fist colliding with the demon’s face. The blow sent the demon flying.

Before the demon could get a hold of itself, Dan was already upon it. Dan’s knees diving into its chest.

Blood splattered out of the demon’s mouth.

On instincts some words came out of Dan’s mouth.

"Divine Judgement" Dan said.

A shimmering glow began to appear on his hand and it began to glow brighter and it grew bigger.

As the demon saw what was in Dan’s hand it broke a sweat. Before Dan even through it at the demon. The demon had already created a distance between them.

As Dan was about to move the demon spoke some words and before Dan knew it somethings held his feet in place.

"Abyss of Death" the demon spoke

And a kind of spear was created out of the dark and it was sent flying into Dan.

It hit him right in the abdomen. As it did, the place it struck began to turn dark. He could feel the spear draining the life out him. But his mind was on one thing.

The demon’s head.

Dan broke through everything thing that was holding him back and rushed toward the demon with the spear still in his abdomen.

Dan grabbed the demon by its neck and slowly drove the shimmering light into its heart.

The demon roared in anguish and pain. It couldn’t let Dan go scot-free, and so it placed its hand on the spear and drove it in deeper. Twisting it as it did.

Both began to bleed from their lips.

"NO!!!"

A voice shouted from the entrance into the room. Both immediately turned toward where the voice came from.

At the entrance was a small figure. It began walking approaching them. It’s eyes began to glow sky blue. As it kept approaching in its place was little Nate standing.

"Go away" Dan did his best to shout as he drove the shimmering deeper into the demon.

And in retaliation the demon twisted its spear within Dan.

"Stop!!!" Nate’s voice echoed within the place. It was as though it was a crackle of lightening. Both the demon and Dan froze in place.

"Yes sire" demon spoke as it let go.

A shocked expression was shown on Dan’s face.

WHAT???

But he was in so much pain that he couldn’t process what was going on. Nate then walked toward Sigrid and placed his hands above her. Her wounds began to heal. And then he set his eyes on Dan.

Nate walked toward him a smile on his face.

"I am sorry it had to be like this" Nate said.

Just as he said those words seven tails began to appear behind Nate his eyes now blue. In his hands were crackles of lightening.

Dan’s consciousness started slipping away. The las thing he saw was the demon walked side by side with Nate and handing Nate the stone.
